What we're following:
- No verdict in first day of deliberations in Sandusky trial
- Taliban siege at Kabul hotel kills at least 23
- Park ranger falls to death during Mount Rainier rescue
And did you see...
- Salvador Dali painting worth $150,000 stolen from NYC art gallery
- Light at night can harm your health
- Miami Heat win NBA championship

In the Sandusky trial, McQueray "assumed", not "presumed", which, in my mind, is a big difference.
You are innocent until proven guilty. PRESUMED INNOCENT By Scott Turow, and no doubt the men
remember the movie with the female character Carolyn Polhemus
PLEASE stop adding the Penn State logo on any coverage of Sandusky's trial...he has not been a PSU employee for a while. This is NOT about Penn State, this is about one guy who happened to work there a while back but has been "working" elsewhere.
Lester, about the Turkish airplane shot down over the Mediterranean in Syria, I wonder how NATO will
respond since Turkey is a member of NATO, one for all, etc. Regarding the trial of Sandusky, I still do
not think McQueary is a credible witness because he did not see the "deed" Seeing is believing.
If his attorney thinks he may have a heart attack, maybe he should not make the closing argument.
Good, then, that Mr. Sandusky is optimistic in such a situation. What is that about a man defending
himself in Court?
Good Evening Mr.Holt, A fine broadcast this Friday evening. Nice to see you filling in for Mr.Williams. Also. looking forward to your Weekend Nightly News broadcasts as well as Weekend Today! You always do a great job! Wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast!
First of all Richard's report from Cairo about Egypt's Election and how the decision of who won will be announced this weekend. As Richard stated the announcement of who won the Presidential Elections on Egypt will be done this weekend and tensions are high with the two candidates supporters. A huge crowd of Muslim Brotherhood supporters are gathered in Tahrir Square believing their Candidate Mohammed Morsi has won the Presidency bringing on an Islamic Democracy. If the other Candidate Ahmed Shafiq wins the Presidency then violence could break out amongst the crowds. Each side claiming the other stole the election. Hopefully, things will remain calm. Time will tell.
Also, a tense time between Syria and Turkey as questions arise whether Syria shot down a Turkish fighter jet.
The report by Anne Thompson about the first Catholic Priest to be found guilty in the child abuse scandal told of how the jury decided this Monsignor Lynn should be found guilty on one count of endangering the welfare of a child. How it was known this Monsignor who oversaw hundreds of priests knew he was sending a known predator to these churches. The jury did not accept his claim that he did everything he could to stop the problem. A true wake-up call to all Priests not to look the other way.
The report by Mr.Almaguer about gas prices falling was very encouraging since it it the start of Summer. Seeing the gas prices much lower in Los Angeles is welcome news to all the commuters and all across the nation it has been coming down several cents a gallon. One hopes it continues on the positive path and falls even more by the Fall season.
The pictures of the doggies at work were so cute!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Holt. Peace to You and to All!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this Monday evening June 25th. Always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast and such big developments in Egypt with election results announced on Sunday. The winner Mohammed Morsi of the Mulsim Brotherhood states he will be a President for All Egyptians, yet many people of Egypt have mixed emotions about the new President.
Richard's report frm Cairo showed how Tahrir Square is still filled with supporters of Mohammed Morsi and they are continuing to celebrate his victory. The start of an Islamic State in the region is not welcomed by all the people of the region. It is incredible to learn that a year and a half ago Morsi was in jail and now he is touring Mubarek's old office and sitting in his chair. Many see the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood as disasterous for Egypt and the Middle East. Many big changes coming to Egypt due to this election. Time will tell. Hopefully, things will remain calm.
Excellent Reporting As Always Richard! Excellent Reporting All Weekend from Cairo!
The report by Mr.Sanders from Florida concerning Tropical Storm Debby showed the Panhandle of Florida being flooded with heavy rain from this storm. Seeing the roads closed and sinkholes developing was awful and one hopes the waters recede soon. Florida appears to have pelted with rain as this storm stays around the area.
The report by Mr.Cantore showed some amazing rain totals all across Florida and hearing there is 3-5 inches of rain falling in and hour is staggering. One hopes the storm moves away soon.
The report by Mr.Almaguer from Colorado Springs showed some relentless firestorms which seem to be impossible to contain by firefighters due to the weather conditions. So many acres of land lost and tragically so many homes destroyed by the flames. It is terrible to see how many different fires are burning in Colorado losing campgrounds and park areas. The firefighters and National Guard are doing everything thet can do to stop the flames frm spreading. One hopes they can gain the upperhand on the flames.
Wonderful for Lolo Jones making the US Olympic Track and Field Team!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams! Peace to You and All!

Good Morning, Brian, and I just now saw the Video with Ann Curry about Sandusky (BTW, NBC should
pay her 10M to stay) and his adopted son's testimony did not convince me that his father is guilty.
For starters, the police asked him loaded questions to which he said "That is correct" And, further,
no admission of oral or anal sex. Let me say, I did not finish a Paralegal course because I could not
remember every word of the Constiution, but in, my mind it was mistake not to have Jerry Sandusky
to take the stand in his own defense which sent the wrong message to the jury that he was guilty
but the lawyers were between a rock and a hard place what with the adopted son's testimony.
Hopefully, if it goes to trial again, the lawyers will not make the same mistake twice.
Brian, All in Florida are in my prayers, and I was moved to tears of happiness about the young man in'
your last story. Have a nice evening!
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this Tuesday, June 26th. Between all the torrential rainfall in Florida and the relentless firestorms in the Western States one hopes so much all the affected areas can receive some relief. It is simply awful what is happening to all the residents of all these States. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the people who live in these areas.
First of all the report by Mr.Cantore from Live Oak, Florida that showed just how much rain has fallen in this town and all over the State of Florida due to Tropical Storm Debby. It is understandable there is declared a State of Emergency since so many roads have been closed and even Interstates in both directions. The residents are doing all they can to help block the rising waters, but it is a endless task. It is staggering to learn that around 2feet of rain has fallen in the now saturated State. Now there is concern of rivers reaching record flood stages. One truly hopes this Tropical Storm Debby moves off shore quickly and out to sea. Enough rainfall for one State in just a few days.
The report by Mr.Almaguer from Colorado Springs showed how the firestorms are continuing to be relentless. Things going from bad to worse with heavy billows of smoke rising into the air. The high wind and extremely high temperatures are fueling the fires and making it so difficult for the firefighters to battle. So many acres burned and people displaced from their homes. Tragically, so many people have lost their himes due to the fires. Hearing another fire is starting near Boulder is alarming. One prays these fires can be quelled.
The piece by Dr.Nancy Synderman about the mother's fight to save her daughters who desperately need a bone marrow transplant showed how this one mother's fight and success in changing a law is encouraging. The law now being that people who donate bone marrow will receive compensation makes it less likely the donors will change their mind and back out. The twin daughters still need a transplant, but this decision by the US Attorney General not to pursue the case to the Supreme Court does make it a victory for this family and many other families. Saving lives being top priority.
Sad to learn Nora Ephron is being hospitalized.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this Wednesday June 27th.
First of all the report by Mr.Almaguer from Colorado Springs and the seemingly relentless firestorm that has gripped Colorado. Seeing the massive walls of flames and smoke all ove the State is horrible and frightening for all the residents. The brave firefighters continuing to battle the flames while dealing with high winds and extremely high temperatures. Hearing the flames have jumped firebreaks certainly makes the job of the firefighters more difficult. Residents fleeing their homes while trying to gather their belongings in a matter of minutes is scary. Ones thoughts and prayers go out to all the residents of Colorado and all the affected States.
The report by Kristen Dahlgren showed how the number of evacuees being around 32,000 is staggering and considering these people don't have much time to gather their belongings. Many staying with friends, hotels or just inside their vehicle. One hopes their homes will be saved. So very scary and tragic.
The report by Mr.Cantore from Florida showed how towns are still submerged by the rising flood waters left by the heavy rainfall of Tropical Storm Debby. It was somewhat encouraging that one interstate may be reopening tomorrow. But so sad there was some loss of life due to the storm. Hopefully, the waters will recede and people can save their homes and businesses.
The piece by Anne Thompson in tribute to screenwriter Nora Ephron who passed away last evening showed how much Nora Ephron made us laugh with her writing in her movies and books. She wrote some memorable romantic comedies and was well known for her observations of men and women. Very humurous insights into aspects of relationships and getting older. She will be greatly missed.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine Thursday broadcast June 28th. Certainly some record breaking high temperatures across the nation and still more to come this weekend. Along with the relentless wildfires that are burning out to control in Colorado. It is so tragic the loss of so many homes with entire neighborhoods of homes destroyed. One prays for the winds to calm and the temperatures to come down in order to help the brave firefighters quell the flames. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the people effected by these terrible fires.
The report by Mr.Almaguer from Colorado Springs showed how soem towns are completely deserted since people have been forced to evacuate and stay at shelters of friend's homes. The firefighters are having a most difficult time and it was heartbreaking to hear from one firefighter whose wife called him asking him what to do since she had to evacuate. And him being a firefighter only had alittle time to talk with her because he had to get back to work battling the blazes. Simply an awful situation and one hopes the fires can be quelled soon.
The report by Pete Williams about the very important ruling by the Supreme Court on the Healthcare Bill showed how Chief Justice Roberts was the deciding factor in upholding the bill. Chief Justice voting to uphold the bill was a victory for President Obama and does effect every American in having health insurance. A truly historic vote on a major bill.
The "Making A Difference" segment by Chelsea Clinton about the rebuilding of Joplin, Missouri after the devastating tornado told of people who are truly resilient and helping eachother rebuild their lives and the town. Seeing the family bakery business re-opening was wonderful and one hopes all the people can rebuild their homes and businesses. Nice Piece!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Looking forward to Rock Center later at 10pm! Peace to You and to All!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine Friday broadcast June 29t. The nation is certainly experiencing some record heat and so early in the Summer. It appears it is going to be a long hot summer, but one does truly hope it doesn't become this hot all the time. Everyone needs to take extra precautions when being outside and stay hydrated. Keeping everyone safe from the excessive heat.
First of all the report by Mr. Almaguer from Colorado Springs which showed that even today 32 new fires are now burning. Seeing entire subdivisions destroyed by these awful fires was heartbreaking knowing people's belongings were lost. President Obama coming to see the devastation close-up praised the firefighters in battling the flames and trying to save peoples lives and homes. So tragic that 2 people were lost in the fires. Ones thoughts and prayers go out to all the people affected by these fires and to the beave firefighters battling the blazes.
The report by Mr. Yang from Indianapolis told of how so many major cities in the nation are dealing with extermely high temperatures and high humidity. Triple digit recorded temperatures in so many States and it seems it will last all weekend. Farmer's crops are in desperate need of water since acres are going to be lost. One hopes for relief very soon.
The "Making A Difference" segment by Mr.Lauer about the New York Yankees helping out at Hope Week was truly inspirational.
Congratulations to Savannah Guthrie on being named the new co-host of the Today Show!
