Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this evening as always. Wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast reporting from Cairo. Certainly a tense time in Egypt between the elections and Mubarek's condition.
First of all Richard's report from Cairo in which Tahrir Square has massive crowds again since they are upset with the information being told to them. Those close to Mubarek are saying he is now off the respirator and is making a recovery. Time will tell in the coming days. The people are suspicious about the election commission delaying the annoucement of the election results to an unspecified date. As the Muslim Brotherhood insists on holding protests until the final results are given to the candidates. A truly chaotic time in Egypt with so much uncertainty.
The report by Anne Thompson about the extreme weather told of some very high temperatures across the Midwest and Northeast. So many temperatures in the 90's making it hard from students still having to attend the last week of school. Many schools without proper air conditioning may have to close early and sned students home. Even out West the smoke from all the wildfires making the air quality unhealthy. Urging people to stay indoors to avoid the air quality being dangerous.
The report from Janel Klein about the flooding in Duluth, Minn. told of 8 inches of rainfall which caused some terrible flooding. Hearing that some zoo animals were caught in the flood waters and some are missing is tragic. Terrible that homes have been damaged and roads closed. One hopes the floods recede soon.
The piece by Mr.Sanders about the underwater nurseries for saving the coral reefs was wonderful. Seeing the coral growing again due to the cuttings made by the scientist divers showed how these reefs can be saved. Protecting the shores as well as being a beautiful site for people to see. Nice piece!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

Brian, I saw Savannah on your broadcast last night and again today with the Video of The Today Show,
and the answer to her question of all the witnesses, in mind, the answer is simple. Sandusky crossed
swords with somebody. With high school cliques, if you don't cooperate with 'em, they make up stories
about you. Same thing. I am looking forward to Rock Center. This is Thursday, isn't it?:o) Phyllis
Sounds like the progressive propagandist in beltway.
As I said to my husband one night last week, Jerry Sandusky is either a sociopath or innocent.
In my mind, there was no middle ground. And his wife's nickname was Sarge which means
to me that she was the dominate partner in the marriage and no getting anything past her.
A sad story. You dismissed me as a progressive propagandist which is your prerogative,
of course, but as you know, it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind, and I now do not
think you are smarter than me. No offense, Dave Have a nice afternoon.. Best, Phyllis
I would never insult you by calling you a progressive propagandist. I meant to say the " high school cliques" sound like the progressive propagandist in the beltway. You know those people who make millions of dollars a year to lie to the rest of us and stab us in the back.
Dave, you made my day, and I agree with you about the high school cliques, and I apologize
for taking it the wrong way but you are a hard read at times and thanks for clearing it up.
I am most definitely not a progressive propagandist because I tend to be slow grasping things
and yes you are smarter than me so I owe you an apology. I am sorry, Dave. And what worrys
me is that cliques are the grassroots of politics. As ever, Phyllis
PS Again, I was wrong to take it personally
Brian, I would not miss Kate Snow's interview on Rock Center later this evening because it is interesting
that the witness's father is also with Penn State. I am not suggesting that Sandusky crossed swords
with this man, but they must have crossed paths. And he would make a Witness for The Prosecution,
in a manner of speaking.l Just my opinion.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this Thursday evening and looking forward to a great Rock Center later at 10pm.
First of all the report by Mr.Isikoff about the Sandusky Trial and the jury now beginning deliberations. The accounts by the 8 victims during the trial was disturbing and heartwrenching as they were so young back when the alleged abuses happened. Certainly interesting closing arguments by both the Prosecution and the Defense. Yet, it will be a tough deliberation for the jury and time will tell in the coming days as to the fate of Mr.Sandusky in this trial. So tragic and sad for the victims and their families.
The interview by Kate Snow with the first accuser of abuse by Sandusky named Travis Weaver told of some disturbing incidents of him and Sandusky. The abuse he endured from age 10 to age 14 and how Sandusky threatened to have his father fired from Penn State if he told the authorities what happened to him. Feeling responsible for other children of the abuse and wanting people to be aware of what is happening. A terrible situation and one hopes justice is found.
On a weather note many records of high temperatures were met today on the second day of summer.
Nice e-mail from the viewer about seeing the Interational Space Station in the skies!
Nice piece by Stephanie Gosk about Prince William turning 30 yrs old today. Prince William has overcome many challenges in his life, but he carries on his mother's legacy of helping others in need. Working at hte same homeless shelter as his mother, Princess Diana and many other charitable works. Serving bravely in the military as a search and rescue pilot which is truly honorable. He has become a very nice and confident young man someday to be King. A Very Happy Birthday to Prince William.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Looking forward to Rock Center. Peace to You and to All!
