What we're following:
- Commerce Secretary John Bryson suffered seizure before weekend hit-and-run car accidents
- Manhunt after 3 killed, 3 wounded in shooting near Auburn University
- Jerry Sandusky trial set to begin
And did you see...
- Massive Spain bailout may only be stopgap measure
- Rafael Nadal wins record 7th French Open title
- President Obama's 'doing fine' remark continues to hurt campaign

I am a robust GWB Republican, but I still don't understand why this particular "doing fine" comment by
the President is being spun as such a masive gaffe. The private sector is the only part of the
American economy that's growing or hiring people at all It must be politics to weaken the
presidency, because President Obama is, indeed, doing fine, and I will leave it at that. Of interest
perhaps, Louisville is no longer considered only a stopover on the way to Nashville. (Chicago
Magazine is shining the spotlight on us) GE is celebrating new jobs at Appliance Park. Thinks
are looking up in our City, and we will not shirk the spotlight as former President George W. Bush
once said, or something like that. Have a nice day.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this Monday evening. One truly hopes the terrible wildfires in Colorado and New Mexico can be quelled soon. So very tragic the loss of so many homes and acres of land. Such brave firefighers battling the flames under tough conditions. One hopes the weather will turn for the better in helping them put out the fires.
And always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast!
First of all the report by Richard from Cairo regarding the crisis in Syria which seems to be a never ending battle in the region. The gun battles are now close to the presidential palace in Damascus and sources are stating the Assad regime is "wobbling" with regards to losing command and control over their armed forces. As Richard stated the situation is not like Libya, but more like a civil war between Shiites and Sunnis. Similar situation to Baghdad with conflcit between two groups. One hopes the conflict will come to a peaceful end soon.
Always excellent reporting Richard!
The report by Mr.Hadlock about the wildfires showed how the Rocky Mountain fire is the largest in the area in 25years. It spread so fast under the dry conditions making it extremely difficult for the firefighters to contain. The smoke being seen from other States including South Dakota and Nebraska. The relentless wildfire in New Mexico appears to be not nearly contained as more and more firefighters come to the area to quell the flames.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Robin Roberts on being diagnosed with a blood disorder. One hopes the bone marrow transplant from her sister will be a help. Thoughts go out to her, her sister and the whole family.
The report by Anne Thompson about the net worth of families dropping by 40% was staggering and showed how the Middle Class was hit hard by the tough economy. Less confident in the economy and spending less while reducing the use of credit cards. Incomes sinking and the idea of owning a home is becoming more difficult to achieve. One hopes things take a turn for the better, but it will be a slow recovery.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!

Good for David McCollough for telling the graduates that they're "not special". Twenty, thirty years ago such a speech wouldn't even get any publicity, but back then not too many kids had a sense of entitlement like so many do nowadays.
In the late 50's, I read a short story entitled "The Special People" in The Atlantic Monthly, and the gist of
it was that the special people were students in cliques who made life miserable for those who did not
belong in the in-crowd. Anyway, if they were the ones David McCollough told "You are not special"
I hope the phoneys got his message. Or if he meant they were not the superior special people,
I hope they felt good about themselves, Either way, Mr. McCollough got it said.l
Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast this Tuesday evening as always.
First of all the report by Mr.Almaguer about the dangerous wildfires burning in 9 different States and having caused so many losses of homes as well as thousands of acres of land. Some people were allowed back to their homes, but many others will have to prepare to evacuate. Seeing the aerial assault by helicopters on the fire and the extremely dangerous conditions for the firefighters in battling the blazes one hopes the firefighters will gain the upper hand and be able to quell the flames. It was staggering to learn that 800 firefighters are battlling the fires and most of them are volunteers. Some having lost their homes to the fires themselves. The fires in New Mexico seem to be still uncontained and already destroyed 125 structures and wiped out neighborhoods of homes. So very tragic the loss ot people's homes. One hopes the fires will be quelled soon. Thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by the terrible wildfires.
The report by Anne Thompson about the fall of net worth of families in these tough economic times showed how the Middle Class was hit hard by the economic crisis. People seeing the value of their homes disappear with housing prices falling and it will take a long time to recover. So many people in debt due to borrowing for education loans and finding it so difficult to get out of debt. Even though there has been some improvement it is still an extremely hard climb back to recovery.
So terrible the continuing crisis in Syria with endless violence which seems to be leading to civil war. One hopes the violence ceases soon.
Nice interview with Jenna Bush Hager talking with her grandfather Former President George H. W.Bush along with his celebrating his 88th Birthday. Very moving thoughts about his family and growing older.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

Brian, I was just reading that Syria hosts Russia's only Naval Base on the Mediterranean Sea, which ups the ante,
in a manner of speaking. "The Mediterranean is the key For 300 years the Russians have tried to pry open
the straits and debouch into the Mediterranean. ........Now more than ever control of the Mediterranean
means control of the world." A great broadcast, and you were terrific, as always. BTW, Quotes from
Alas, Babylon; Pat Frank
Fast and Furious approved in 2006 by Congress and a yes vote from Rep. Issa with pride. Today Issa is charging Holder with Fast and Furious as Holder ended the program when he took office. Issa wont allow the documents to be presented. Now the Committee wants Holder to violate the Law by allowing States to use Homeland Security Classified information to deny citizens from voting. Just think with the enemy has friends with every Republican elected official and you can bet if Holder were to illegally release that information he would be impeached. It's called entrapment and violating the Voting Law. No problem with voting fraud found but Mitt needs to win so the GOP has to fine a way to end minority voters. The member of Committee on Intelligence made a mistake by thinking that leaking classified information was only to hurt Obama and help Mitt. But Obama called for an investigation and now there is no Scooter Libby to fall on the sword.
Jamie Dimon was asked by the Senate Committee to give them bills that can protect the Banks so they can continue to have the freedom to gamble with customers/investors money. Mitt promised to give the banks that second bailout President Obama has refused. Mitt Romney just promised Wall Street the United States of America and the people will not have a President.
