Since you’re the Managing Editor of the Nightly News, I have a feeling that even if you announced the beginning of World War III this evening, since we’re all familiar with your sense of humor by now, you still would’ve made sure that there would be enough time for you to play that LBJ sound bite.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this evening.

First of all the report by Mr.Costello about the security breeches at airports which is quite disturbing especially to learn how many screeners were fired or suspended by the TSA. The incidents at Southwest Florida International Airport seem to cause much concern in the lack of doing the random security checks required by the TSA. The excuses of the job of being a screener being too mundane, high risk and stressful could be taken into acount. But the screeners have to be accountable for their actions and cannot decide to make their own rules with regards to their job. Too many incidents causing alot of embarrassment to the airport and the TSA. All in keeping passengers safe.

The report by Mr.Almaguer about the terrible wildfires in New Mexico and along the Utah-Nevada border. So very tragic the loss of the two pilots in the air tanker crash as they were trying the battle the blaze. The wildfire in New Mexico seems to be endless and the firefighters working tireslessly to quell the flames. It was certainly encouraging to see the firefighters saved the mining town once surrounded by flames. One hopes they can gain the upperhand on all the fires.

Ones thoughts and prayers go out to Prince Philip in the hopes he can recover quickly. It is sad he could not partake in some the the festivities for his wife Queen Elizabeth II. One hopes he feels better soon.

The piece by Mr.Miklaszewski about the letters of a US soldier Army Sergeant Steve Flaherty who fought in Vietnam was very touching. Learning after his death at the age of only 22 yrs old and having his letters in possession of Vietnamese officials now being returned to the US officials in an exchange with a diary of a Vietnamese soldier returned to the Vietnamese Officials told of some touching and moving letters. Hearing the words of Army Sgt. Steve Flaherty to his mother in these letters was hearbreaking and also frightening. One understands what this soldier is experiencing in the conflict and the loss of so many of his fellow soldiers. The true seriousness of the war. Hearbreaking and sad.

The piece by Stephanie Gosk about the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee showed of some amazing festivities. With a thousand boat flotilla along the River Thames and then a wonderful star studded concert. A wonderful celebration for Queen Elizabeth's 60yr reign.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

    Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!

Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Brian, Last night when I saw Queen Elizabeth on Nightly News I was reminded of Elizabeth Taylor who is still

considered the most beautiful woman in the world by many. Had she lived the great actress could have played the part of

her in a movie, like Jane Fonda with Nancy Reagan. Both women had the same beauty and allure, and I

believe Elizabeth Taylor was born British. I wish Prince Philip a speedy recovery. BTW, will a different facet

of your personality surface with the Venus Transit this evening?
