News from the West Coast is three hours late. George Zimmerman's lawyer didn't know his client had received 200,000 dollars from his website that everyone knew about. Even the Judge seem to not know but he did believe Judge Zimmerman's statement that George was broke. Nice to see even the Judge was lied to by a Judge/lawyer. George did live blogging for a while after setting up his personal website and his own attorney spoke of it long before the hearing but seem to forget to mention it under oath.
All this fuss about President Obama slow jam on Jimmy Fallon. As some say it's a disgrace for a President to do that. Mitt was great on Letterman doing the top 10 but that's ok. Obama travels to colleges to support keeping the student loan rates. Mitt goes to colleges to give a speak on oil drilling, don't buy a home if you can't afford it, fine a college you can afford or don't go and how he will pull a magic act on recovering the economy that Obama can't do. Mitt changed his position on the Dream Act in hope of getting votes as he sent Rubio out to announce, but Speaker Boehner said it would never happen. Newt was smart to stick around his services might be needed. Boehner said the voters would rather have medical funds for women/children cut to save the student loan rate. Women will no longer get breast cancer screening/kids wouldn't get their needed medial shots. Mitt sees that as a correct move. Mitt was faced what no husband would want when Ann had breast cancer/Multiple Sclerosis but with quick expensive medical care Ann is doing well and proof that quick regular doctor visits can save your life. But the new policies will assure American women don't get that help and even children are left to suffer because elected officials don't see that as important.
have a great day all
Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this evening. You did a great job on "30 Rock" last night! From the clip it looked really funny on the West Coast version, though I wish you could have been on the East Coast version. It was a great job by the cast doing the Live Show!
Now on to the broadcast. First of all the report by Kelly O'Donnell about the debate between political parties over how to pay for the extension of the bill to keep the interest rate on college loans from doubling. It seems both parties agree on the extension, but are fighting over where the money is going to come from to pay for it. It is a real problem for students and parents trying to afford to pay college and if the interest rate doubles it will make it impossible for some to afford. Many students rely on these loans and hopefully they will be able to stay at the college of their choice. Time will tell when a decision will be made on this bill.
The report by Mr.Tibbles about the emergency response to the Delta flight that had to be quarantined on the runway for 2 1/2 hours because of a possible health threat certainly showed how response teams should react in this situation. The woman who was thought to have contracted monkey pox turned out to have only bug bites was thoroughly checked by the response team in this emergency and it was good all the passengers were understanding in the hours on the plane. Officials took extra precautions to make sure there was no health threat to anyone on the plane, but was prepared to handle any emergency.
The piece by Anne Thompson about the Space Shuttle Enterprise flying over New York on top a 747 airplane was impressive and exciting to see. It was be truly great to have it exhibited at the Intrepid museum later for the public to view. The end of a great era of manned space missions.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Have a wonderful weekend! Peace to You and to All!

Brian, a terrific broadcast, and I do not agree with Karl Rove that President Obama is shallow because he
did not deny his inner Al Green, quite the contrary. I am a robust GWB Republican, but Rove lost me when
he meddled with the Jack Conway-Rand Paul Senate Election in Kentucky. I am still seething as I am not
over all that. Have a nice weekend! Phyllis
here's to kentucky, i planted kentucky wonder green beans, i am sure they will be delish, i want them for making french lyonnaise green beans. bought a 4-pack of big boy tomato plants, a $3.49 husky cherry tomato plant and a $3.49 basil plant, it has 3 small plants in it. i am almost done planting, i just have the cherry tomato plant left to go into the garden pot tomorrow. lots of good garden soils; potting soil, mulch/compost and topsoil. the veggies were the first priority. i have a wee bit of space for flowers like petunias or snapdragons, those will go directly in the ground, the veggies are in pots since the trailer park cats decided that the areas i prepped for the veggie garden two years ago were great litter boxes once that year's dead plants were pulled up, ugh! that's okay, i can control water much better in the large patio pots and i can use large chunks of fruit tree fertilizer sticks, which work great. i can't wait to harvest the first maters! i have two more pots that i can plant zuchinni seeds in. i haven't done zuchinni in pots before, it will be interesting. so, here's to women and children's health with fresh veggies as a great start! just a few peaches this year since the frost in mid-march got the early blooms from the warm weather. the trees can probably use the rest. this year the veggie garden in my prayer garden is going in as a prayer for cancer cures. i'm glad that i had a wee bit of energy to plant, last year, i didn't and i missed my fresh veggies! i have run out of room on my little trailer lot for planting. there is another little peach tree coming up by the pink rose and a teeny, tiny one coming up in the irises that bloomed so beautifully this spring. the peach tree that came up in the red oklahoma rose is as tall as the roof now and is spreading out very nicely, it was loaded with peach blossoms this spring before the frost got them. in a couple of years, i may have to take some of these peaches to the local farmer's market! the trees i planted on the lot keep my trailer so much cooler than the folks who are on the gravel lots, the breeze that comes in the windows is wonderful! hope everyone is well, best, anna martina
anna martina, let me know how the Kentucky wonder green beans taste! Everthing is well, and if it
were any better I would have to explain it:o) Have a nice day. Best, Phyllis
Good Evening Mr.Williams, A nice broadcast this evening Monday, April 30th.
First of all the piece you with President Obama and other top leaders in the Administration about the night of the raid on Osama Bin Laden's compound by the Navy Seals and the ultimate killing of Osama Bin Laden. Hearing from Admiral Mullen and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton it was definitely a feeling of tension inside the Situation Room when the planned attack was being carried out. It is understandable why President Obama would say, "It was the longest 40minutes of my life" since one did not know how it would end. The statement by Secretary Clinton about all feeling together as one body certainly told of how all of them were part of the decision making process to have the US Navy Seals carry out this mission. One would hold one's breathe until it was over. A historic event.
The piece by Mr.Smith about the building of thr World Trade Center tower was truly moving and it is amazing it will be surpassing the Empire State Building. Much emotion being felt by the iron workers who are steadily building the framework of the buidling. The view is incredible and it was heartwarming to learn names of those lost on 9/11 are written and will continue to be written into the structure. It is appropriate the height is going to be 1776 feet. It is definitely a place of rememberance of those brave souls who were lost on that day.
The "Making A Difference" segment by Kristen Dahlgren about Former Olympian Jeremy Bloom and his organization called, "Wish of a Lifetime" granting wishes for Seniors was especially moving. Seeing that couple renew their vows after meeting 68yrs ago during World War II was heartwarming. What a wonderful organization.
