And we wonder why employers do not want to hire. It is much easier to take jobs offshore.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast as always this evening. Looking forward to seeing RockCenter at 9pm tonight.
So very sad to learn the passing away of Dick Clark at the age of 82yrs old. He was such a major presence on television for 50 yrs. We always associate him with New Year's Eve in Times Square and he always brought the viewers excitement with the countdown to the new year. As he was called, "the oldest teenager in America". Working for 30 yrs on American Bandstand that introduced so many majotr music artists such as The Supremes, The Beach Boys and Michael Jackson to name just a few. He certainly had a passion for music and was an a great influence to Ryan Seacrest who co-hosted his New Year's Eve Special. May he rest in peace. He will be greatly missed by many, many people.
The report by Kristen Welker about the Secret Service scandal told of how 3 members of the agency are now leaving. Two of them being Supervisors which is terribly disturbing and one wonders of the decision making judgment of these members.
The report by Mr.Potter told of how the people of the city are weary of all the negativity being brought to the area due to the scandal. Tourism to the city is certainly effected and many officials are not speaking about what happened. There is much to sort out with two investigations for the Secret Service and the US Military being involved in the incident. One hopes those responsible are brought to justice.
On another note it was wonderful to see the couple, Merle and Patricia Butler who won the Mega Millions in Red Bud, Illinois. The piece by Janet Shamlian told of how the people of this small town truly are happy this couple won. Hearing what the other people in the community were saying about them was very nice. Congratulations to Merle and Patricia Butler!
Great to see so many Olympic hopefuls in Times Square showing off their skills!
Wonderful piece by Anne Thompson about Major League pitcher Jamie Moyer.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
