1993 Republicans spoke of the Health Care Plan but wanted a mandate. Many called the Bill as big as FDR's 1935 SS Act. Speaker Gingrich said mandate ok to Hillary's health care plan. Remember that was an interest of the GOP because Clinton was bringing a balance budget and what should the USA do with the money. President George H.W. Bush was a big supporter of the mandate but few reporters even talk about that. Just think if a Republican President was in office we would already have Health Care Bill because it was their idea in the first place and Obama stole it.
The case of Trayvon Martin was clearly a cover up and even the State Attorney fired the investigator who found Zimmermann guilty. This is one of the criminal cases that many wish were lost unsolved as it will open the public to those who are corrupt. Usually we learn the truth long after all the parties are dead.
The US Supreme Court case is interesting reading because every reporter but Savannah Guthrie who knows exactly how the legal system works as a grad of Georgetown Law School. Justice Ginsberg set the record right as she said we have citizens pay into Social Security as no choice because one day you will be old and use that income. We all get old and need health care too. Most of the protesters are using health care funds are will be using it soon. Rick Santorum is a health care Lobbyist and had to go to protest for his employers. Some of the Law Makers speaking against the Bill are today receiving much needed health care paid by taxpayers. Paul Ryan has a plan to select who gets a voucher while making all Americans pay. Much like all Americans have to pay into Social Security but a selected group of chosen Americans could receive that benefit.
We watched Bin Laden relaxing and watching US news and now it seem the good looking young President of Russia likes USA and Hollywood. The conversation between Obama and the Russian President was spin for political reasons as some reported but listening it made sense the President has to continue his job until a new President is sworn in office. Much like President Bush did after the Nov. 2008 election. Poor Mitt can't stop making a fool of himself and the World is watching and laughing. One foreign newspaper said a picture with candidate Newt Gingrich cost 50 dollars. After Mitt gets all the delegates/super delegates he has been working on the Debates between Obama and Mitt will be interesting for the US and the World.
have a great day all
Good news that chocolate is good for high blood pressure and for me that would be the "best medicine" on the
market.
BTW, Brian, according to one astromner, Venus and Juptier were so close together that they appeared as one
star and that is what the Wise Men saw at the birth of Christ. Have a nice evening.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine Tuesday broadcast this evening.
First of all the report By Pete Williams from the US Supreme Court about the second day of arguements concerning President Obama's healthcare bill. Much more intense arguements today on the issue of how much power Congress can have over commerce and forcing people to buy certain things such as health insurance. It does appear there is a divide amongst the Justices in that Judge Kennedy stated some doubts about these changes. The cost of treating someone without health insurance shifts to those who do and it effects the rates and cost of care. There was definitely no cleat victory for either side as protests For and Against the issue continue outside the steps of the Supreme Court building. Time will tell when the Justices come to a decision and the law is actually written.
The report by Andrea Mitchell from Havana showed a historic visit for Pope Benedict XVI since there has not been a Papal visit since Pope John Paul II. The Pope is urging reform for the region, yet the government is pushing back on the idea while it is still a fragile economy. There does seem to be more religious freedom and seeing the masses being celebrated was encouraging. It will be very nice for Pope Benedict XVI to celebrate mass in the giant square tomorrow.
The report by Mr.Almaguer from Denver about the terrible fires showed how much area has been affected and so many people out of their homes. So tragic to hear the loss of two lives and one missing. One hopes since the winds will be calming the firefighters will gain the upperhand over the flames.
Very nice piece about the "Hiring Our Heroes" program to hire Veterans returning from deployments and helping them find jobs. Truly inspirational.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

So, a few weeks ago a flight attendant went crazy and now a pilot goes bonkers in the cockpit . . and people have the nerve to question me when I say I haven't been on a plane in thirty years.
A coworker from about twenty years ago told me that a pilot friend of hers used to drink (among other things) the night before a flight. I believe they're on some 24 hour no drinking rule before a flight. I can only imagine what they're doing now twenty years later.
Christmas came early for California as Magic Johnson's group brought the LA Dodgers and things are looking up. Jobs Jobs and more jobs.
