This is not about Healthcare, it is about the Government telling you that you must buy something that will make their friends wealthy...SEIU and that they can use as leverage to get campaign donations from, namely Unions and others that want favorable treatment or delays in having to pay the fines. Today it is healthcare...tomorrow it is electric cars, other people's contraceptives, other peoples internet, other peoples cell phones, (in Washington State, people were buying huge Frappacinos with their food stamps cards) and abortions.
Healthcare rates have already doubled and the vast majority of people will have their employer provided healthcare dropped and will have to pay for their own coverage or be fined by the IRS.
Seniors and the disabled have the most to lose. Under Obamacare, if you are beyond an age that they feel is appropriate, they will stop paying for anything to extend your life or to make your life more comfortable (knee surgeries etc.). The feeling is the money is better spent on the young and healthy.
Here is the reference to Obama's adviser on Healthcare, Rohm Emanuels' brother:
By the way, this is hardly a right wing paper.
katie: There is not one fact in your comment....just a bunch of falsehoods that you believe...but are incorrect.
If it is considered illegal to "make" someone buy insurance, will they stop "making" me pay more for my health care to help pay for someone who refuses to buy insurance?
Nicely played, Sandy!
Ditto. If President Obama does not want to be a one-night stand with small business there must be a
plan as well to lower payments of health insurance, in general, as well.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine Monday broadcast this evening.
First of all it truly appears the biggest place to be was at the Supreme Court where three days of arguements will be heard about President Obama's healthcare bill. This decision by the Supreme Court after hearing from both sides will impact everyone.
The report by Mr.Pete Williams outside the Supreme Court showed how large crowds gathered overnight in anticipation of getting one of the tickets to be in the courtroom. A challenging arguement concerning Congress being able to regulate commerce and whether that means it is forcing people to buy health insurance. A major issue for the court to decide and it is vitally important to all Americans. Time will tell.
The interview done by Matt Lauer with Karilyn Bales, the wife of Staff Sergeant Robert Bales who is accused of killing 17 Afghan civilians including 9 children was heartbreaking and it is truly difficult for Mrs.Bales to believe her husband could have done this terrible thing. It was interesting to hear her state how much her husband shielded her from knowing. And how she did not know of his traumatic brain injury while serving in Iraq. It was truly heartbreaking and ones thoughts and prayers go out to her and her children during this extremely difficult time. One hopes the investigation of the incident uncovers what happened on that night. Simply tragic.
The report by Andrea Mitchell from Cuba about Pope Benedict XVI visit to the region showed how well the Pope has been greeted by the people. Nice to see the Pope celebrating an open air mass. Then tomorrow meeting the Fidel Castro and his son.
The piece by Mr.Taibbi about director James Cameron's trip down to the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean was amazing. Quite the adverturer and to travel so far down in a one-man submarine to try and see the mysteries of the deep ocean. Incredible.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Brian if nothing else this Supreme Court Health Care question proves how little Americans know about the Constitution and the laws of the Government. 1993 the Republican fought President Clinton and demanded a health care mandate wow and now their against it. Few Americans even know 1935 the Social Security Act was formed under the same rule of the Constitution. You can't fix stupid and this is so funny and even the Justices are laughing behind the scenes. To bad Ted Kennedy gave Obama the Romney blueprint to Universal Health Care. I remember President Reagan speaking of this Bill and how the Republicans had line up the bill designed with the Social Security Act. It's funny to hear people say they don't want to pay into health care but accept paying into social security. Ask one sane American can they refuse to have Social Security out of their pay check. Treating people like their stupid as worked well by the GOP. Rick Santorum is a Health Care Company Lobbyist and it's his job to fight for the Health Care Company. Romney is just mad he wasn't able to use his same Health Care Bill in a campaign for President. Nixon was the first President who wanted Universal Health Care. We watched video from the same Law Makers today as they changed their position because the Bill was made into Law by a Democrat President. We see taxpayers pay for Dick Cheney's health care and heart transplant and other Law Makers and their families get full health care benefits paid by taxpayers. A Lt. Governor of Wisconsin found herself with cancer and high medical cost and her husband's free health care as an State Assemblymen saw his coverage wasn't enough. The high cost would have wiped the Kleefisch family and their two little daughters. Well thanks to being a good Republican, Governor Walker hired Rebecca Kleefisch as Lt. Governor there by allow her medical cost to be paid by taxpayers. Many people run for office for the free coverage and the large pay for little to no work. Attorney Celment lost round one and now he's on to round two with the full knowledge he will lose. A fresh year law student as in Law 101 clears up the Health Care Bill is Constitutional and will stand. Now the only hope is for 5 Justices to violate the Constitution again. Justice Thomas already votes without hearing a word as he and his wife have been working hard against the health care bill and being paid very well by the health care companies and the Koch Bros. Watching those Americans who support ending this health care bill but are the same ones using it is just to funny.
I feel bad for Mrs. Bale as with all the evidence and the few victims that survived with video still she loves her husband so much she can't believe. Officer Bales remembers before/after but not the action of murder. I remember when we heard about the My Lai Massacre as Americans didn't believe soldiers would kill 350 women/children in cold blood. But we learned it was all true but was covered up for a time. Lt. Calley denied it until he was old and in 2009 at an event he admitted and apologized for that massacre.
As the police and Zimmermann do their best to make the murder of Trayvon, to be Trayvon's fault. But the leaked evidence isn't matching up with the facts. One person cleared up this topic. If Allison or Jordan Scott had walked to the store and brought skittles/ice tea while wearing a hoodie and some man was stalking them and the man shot and killed. Well the man would be in jail on the sight and the Stand your Ground would not have been a defense because these young ladies are Governor Rick Scott's daughters. We hear of women and kids being stalked and put in fear and women use mase and kids run or kick and scream. Trayvon screamed for help but it was to late. Trayvon was still on the phone and the details as he gave his girlfriend who the police never questioned in the weak investigation. Even two women who watched and called the police were not questioned as the police ended the investigation with Zimmermann's answers.
have a great day all
Brian, President Obama is now behind the 8 Ball with the Republicans because of the open microphone,
but the president is "not hiding the ball" with Russia. And that's a good thing!
