The date filming began is a pretty arcane question... Not exactly worthwhile trivia. Might as well ask the name of the head custodian on the set.

Exactly. I got 2 questions wrong. That one, and the one about how much money it made its opening weekend. How is anyone supposed to know that off the top of their head? Francis Ford Coppola probably would need to look that up.

If I remember correctly, "Johnny" was Frank Sinatra and they made him an offer he could not refuse,

a dead horse in bed with him. BTW author Jackie Collins, reads the book "The Godfather" every year.

Johnny was sort of loosely, unofficially based on Sinatra (depending on who you talk to). And the horse's head "offer" was made to Jack Woltz (movie producer) to get him to let Johnny Fontane star in an upcoming Woltz movie.

"NOW YOU GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE!!"

thank for clearing it up and it all comes back to me but I don't get "get the hell outta here" all in caps.

Jack Woltz? Hit the Road Jack? Just asking, Charlie.!!! Author Jackie Collins is not going anywhere!

It dawned on me this morning that it may be a line from the movie "The Godfather" Right?

Yes, Phyllis, it is. After Woltz explains to Tom Hagen, quite angrily, why Johnny Fontane won't be getting the part in the film, he says that to Tom.

Lousy thing to realize: this movie came out 40. years. ago. Going by way too fast, it seems.

I concur with Jogrinder - the questions should be limited to the movie itself. Incidentally, Calo is the person who made the remark about women and shotguns in Sicily, not Carlo. You probably misled lotsa folks with that gaff.

One question asked is about "women in Sicily being more dangerous than shotguns" none of the given answers are correct. according to the test the answer is Carlo (The name of Connie's husband) but in reality the answer is Calo, who was one of Michael's body guards in Sicily

You are correct! That was a typo that has now been fixed.

Lets see more questions about dialogue instead of stupid questions about Oscar nominations and production years, this quiz is almost as wasteful as Godfather 3. I'm still waiting for Godfather 4 Fredo's revenge, Fredo returns as a rotted zombie and takes out all the remaining living cast members including his younger brother Michael. I'm sure if produced in the right way this movie would come off better than that abortion number three. F.F.Coppola should be ashamed of himself!

Great idea. Michael Gazzo (Frank Pentangeli) could be Fredo's zombie co-star. Fredo: "Frankie, seeing you reminds me of the old days - New York - um, except for this whole zombie thing we've got going now."

I got all the questions that were relevant to the story right--and even the staten island filming location, but I could care less about how much the film grossed in the opening week, how many awards, etc.

...and I'm not 'godfather material...' One way or the other, either MSN's signature will be on my certificate or their brains....(true story, lol)

The Godfather was nominated for TEN Academy Awards, not eleven. Any wiseguy worth his prosciutto knows the 11th nomination was thrown out before the awards were held.
