Regarding the story about Brittanica, to be honest, I would've thought they shut their doors years ago and just faded away, much like the typewriter. The internet has been around for twenty plus years now, surprised they lasted this long.
My husband said the same thing about "The Great Books" when I told him I was going to study the books
(I own a set) and he said he wished I would become computer-friendly. Be careful what you wish for:o)
and I own a piano too. And TGIF
Good Evening Mr.Williams, Nice to see you back in New York! A great broadcast as always this evening. And always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast this time reporting from Kabul. A truly tragic incident of so many lives lost due to the US soldier going on a shooting rampage. Simply a terrible tragedy.
Richard's report from Kabul told what happened the night of the shooting when the other US soldeirs went out to search for the missing soldier. Tracking his movements by drone they found himm crawling through an open field then confronting him about the shootings. He basically saying, "I did it". So far after getting a lawyer he has not spoken further, yet many in the region believe he should be put on trial in the region and given the death penalty. Hearing about how the families perished and seeing the wrapped bodies in the back of the truck was heartwrenching and simply horrible. The government told the people they would be safe near the military bases and now this incident happened. It is a terrible tragedy and one hopes the investigators will find out why this all happened.
Always Excellent Reporting Richard! Please Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well!
The report by Mr.Almaguer about Fort Lewis and the history of soldiers with problems coming from the base was disturbing. The military officials need to make sure the returning soldiers are receiving the best possible care. So many cases of soldiers convicted of killing Afghan civilians, the D.C. sniper and others. Plus with so many deployments the problems are crucial in detecting and helping the soldier recover. It is quite a tragedy to hear of a soldier causing such a terrible incident.
On a weather note the temperatures around much of the MidWest and EastCoast is feeling like Spring!
The "Making A Difference" segment by Rehema Ellis about kindergarten teacher Olivia Neubauer who just turned 100yrs old was very inspirational. She truly has made a difference in so many children's lives. A nice piece!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!
