What we're following:
- NBC Poll: Romney & Santorum neck-and-neck in Michigan
- American journalist, French photographer killed in Syria
- Heart attack with no chest pain more likely in women
- Bank overdraft fees targeted in federal probe
And did you see...
- Google to sell augmented reality glasses by year's end
- U.S. motorists logged fewer miles in 2011
- White House to propose corporate tax cut
- President Obama sings "Sweet Home Chicago"

President Obama has a gift for singing, and I am okay with a man who can walk and chew gum at the same
time because Kentucky's AG Jack Conway said a Kentuckian is one who can walk and chew gum at the
same time and that makes the president, in my mind, a true Kentuckian. BTW, the First Lady will visit Kentucky
on Thursday.
Hi Phyllis just wanted to say how right you are about Jack Conway. I have a friend from Kentucky and he keeps me up to date. Conway is fighting prescription drug abuses, violence against women and the history making 25 billion mortgage settlement. To bad Senator Paul is blocking legislation on banning synthetic drugs that is killing so many people. Maybe enough Law Makers will fight to ban those drugs.
Thanks Jackie, and I still wish Jack Conway was our Senator, but, as Attorney General, he best represents
us in Kentucky. Rand Paul is an embarassment and he has created a racist-sexist climate in our state,
which bothers me no end. One way or another, Paul has to go. I am with Jack Conway all the way, and I
hope he reconsiders his decision not to run against Mitch McConnell in 2014. Have a nice day! Phyllis
What a difference 4 years makes. This time in 2008, gas prices was the topic of every news cast. Here we are in 2012 with gas prices the highest in history for this time of year(higher than 4 years ago) and you hardly hear a peep on the news.
What could the difference be? I bet it is because of the rip roaring economy we now, people does not care what the price of gas is.
Haven't heard one speech from Princess Nancy Pelosi about it. I think I can call Nancy Princess since Maxine Waters can call Boehner and Cantor Demons.
The funny thing about those high gas prices in 2008 that and the eveel speculators that "caused the housing bubble to pop". They were the Ivy League endowments, the 3 biggest state pension funds and the Rotten Big Apple's Major Banks who were backing Obama in 2008.
Strange huh? bahahhaahaha
Here in California our gas prices went up to $4.91 in 2008 because of President Obama and now their up again. Oil companies announced history making profits in 2008 and looking to do it again. At lease when President Bush was in office prices were under two dollars for 8 years and even Dick Cheney said the US gas prices would be lower with the US controlling Iraq oil fields. Now we don't get much oil from Iran but fear and lies work as Wall Street just pushes the prices up just in case and when all this goes away Oil companies will again announced record breaking profits again. Obama took office Jan. 2009 but if people want to believe the prices were high in 2008 who am I to correct them. Maybe this fear tactic can help get the Keystone pipeline bill passed and wow another oil spill this time in the hearthland and you betcha we can always blame Obama.
The 5 major banks have announced they back business man Mitt Romney as he has worked with them before. At the meeting in Palm Springs California billionaire backers and Banks/Corporations met to assure Romney would be the selected nominee. Meg Whitman is Romney's campaign out here. Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said on Wall Street Journal Report that he didn't think President Obama understood how much Americans need banks and how Romney was clear and better suited to handle the problems. LA Times reported our high prices and FYI in the last stop before crossing into Nevada the prices were 6 dollars in 2008. We got hit hard and the last gas station before the long road to Vegas was over the top but drivers had no choice but to pay.
Obama made a promise to double U.S. exports by what ever date and he is making it true by shipping all our gas overseas.
Obama says he is producing more oil now than anytime in the past 8 years. That is true but only because he cannot shut down the production in North Dakota. This is all private land, he would shut it down if he could. He has most of the drilling shut down on government land.
Got two refinerys here in PA shut down and third will be shutting down.
A California class action case exposed the overdraft fraud. As the Judge found the Bank guilty he explained how the scam was done and it was a really slick way of robbing people blind. I wonder what the Banks will pull off next. Most people still have no idea their being robbed as it helps with the Banks profit. Looks likes Consumer Protection Department has alot more work to do in the criminal wave. I got to see friends statement and it was really cool how they used a system to guarantee overcharges each month when person has direct deposit. As Banks set up credit cards for overdraft it was just to easy and made the banks big profits.
None of the candidates don't seem to have a plan for recover of the economy or jobs but the issues for election is ending women's rights and disenfranchising voters. While current elected Law Makers are busy raising donations and fighting each other only the President seems to be working on the economy and jobs. Let's hope voters elect candidates from their State to work for them and not themselves on election day.
It seems President Obama can really carry tune and he's not a one hit wonder. It was nice to see him enjoying himself with so much insanity in DC right now. With all the Constitutional laws in place for women you really have to wonder why the GOP is fixated on women's private parts. I was surprised Santorum objected to life saving abortions for women when he signed for his wife to have a life saving abortion. Mitt Romney supported his wife Ann who used medication in birth control when she was diagnosed with Multiple Scoliosis. I have noticed only religious leaders were called to discuss women's medical needs but not one woman or doctor was asked.
have a great day all
Is this the same Santorum kid who that Old Man on CBS' DeFace The Nation tried to tell Santorum was still born and Santorum had to tell him NO the child lived for 2 hours?
I saw the Face the Nation show and Rick can call it what ever he wants but in the hospital it's called an abortion. Karen was 19 weeks in her pregnancy and tried to save her baby. She got an infection and it was causing her to die as a big decision had to be made that no parent wants to decide. The doctor used a drug to induce labor aka abortion as Karen/Rick were told their baby would die outside the womb. Rick did the right thing for his wife and kids as Karen would have died because of the infection and there was no way to save the baby. Rick/Karen were blessed after the lost of Gabriel and have Isabella. Even Doctors don't have the answers as to why a body rejects the fetus. I saw a lovely young couple hold their son for about an hour as he died from spina bifida, he was such a beautiful baby and my heart broke for the young couple.
Read on some low rent website that FLOTUS was on another vacation to Vail, CO. Was that true??????????
I did not see anything about it on any MSM reports.
Yes First Lady Obama and her daughters took a two day vacation at the same place our First Lady Laura Bush and her twin daughters stayed at. Yes Mrs. Obama used a friends private plane but even that might be wrong. Vail is beautiful and alot of wealthy people visit. It was funny to see Jenna Bush fall over her sister at the ski slopes, but it seems no pictures where taken of the Obama girls.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this evening as always. So very tragic the situation on Syria and especially the city of Homs. So extremely tragic and sad the loss of American Journalist Marie Colvin and French Photojournalist Remi Ochlik. Thoughts and prayers go out to their families. May they Rest in Peace.
Richard's report from Harbiye,Turkey on the Syrian, Turkish border it showed the atrocious scenes of what is happening on the city of Homs in Syria with a constant barrage of rockets snd gunfire upon the city. As Richard stated it is hard to find any peace in the city at all. The tribute to Journalist Marie Colvin who was tragically killed was heartbreaking and hearing her voice on her final report from Homs was haunting and extemely sad. Reporting for the British Sunday Times she showed just how horrific the situation in Homs and seeing the apartments turned into clinics with wounded civilians was terrible. Hearing her speak about a baby being lost was heartwrenching. Thoughts and prayers go out her family and seeing and hearing from her mother brought tears.
It was awful to hear Richard state he couldl hear the shelling happening in Syria and with the 30,000 people of Homs having almost no food and supplies it is tragic. One hopes so much the International Community can do something to help quell all these atrocious attacks and save the people.
Excellent Reporting as Always Richard! Please Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well!
The report by Mr.Pete Williams about the Supreme Court debating a Law that makes it a crime to lie about receiving a medal of valor showed how disturbing the issue. It is terrible to learn how people who never served in the armed services lied about receiving a honorary medal of valor.
As Col. Jack Jacobs, A Medal of Honor Recipient stated it is "pathetic" Protect the award and the recipient.
The idea of giving the spare change at airport security checkpoints to the USO seems wonderful.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Excellent Reporting as Always!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Good post, and I would only add it may be a solution if NATO was to engage Russia in a binding and mutually
beneficial relationship with Europe and the wider North Atlantic community. Have a nice day all!!!!
Russia has Europe by the nads and needs the Middle East in an uproar. More money for Russia's oil and gas.
mmmmmmmm, interesting!
PS Dave, Big maybe. NATO was not so reluctant in Libya, with the offshore drilling rights being with BP,,
Britian a member of NATO. (HuffPost buddy--You know I have a lousy memory)
