I am soooooooo impressed with Sen. Lindsey Graham's position on Syria,, in effect, to contain Iran.as well
"If the Syrian regime is replaced with another form of government that doesn''t tie its future to the
Iranian, the world is a better place," Graham said, and saying also, "breaking Syria's ties to a nuclear-
armed Iran would be as beneficial in our efforts to contain a nuclear-arm Iran as sanctions." Wow, just wow!!! another young Henry Kissinger who said "Iran can be contained (Atlantic Monthly 9/10) Also in this
magazine "The Point of No Return".....The Iranian nuclear threat will come to a head and a preemptive
attack by Israel could be disastrous. And, then, in my mind, all bets would be off and what goes
around comes around, you reap what you sow.
Brian, as you better put it about Israel, risking the consequences, which to me, is the same thing as
point of no return. The attack by Israel could be disastrous as I posted earlier. And it might
happen anyway as written in the Atlantic article. BTW, Kissinger did not consider Iran a threat
of the "same order of magnitude" as the 1950's Soviet Union, even as it "ideologically and
militarily challenges the Middle East Order." The two articles in this magazine are revelant to what
is happening now. Have a nice evening; nice tie. Phyllis
After sunday's Meet the Press, David Gregory has left no doubt that he is a totally behind the democrat pparty. His show could qualify for MBSNBC primetime.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast this Monday evening. Happy President's Day! Always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast. Please Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
First of all Richard's report from the Syrian,Turkey border which told of a deteriorating situation in the area. As Richard stated there could be a massacre in the city of Homs after the city has been surrounded for two weeks by the Sryian forces. Outside parties have joined with the Syrian government forces such as Russia, China, Hezbollah and the Iraqi Shiite Militia which makes this situation not just a local problem. US officials not seeing a clear option as they observe a country in chaos. Such a tragic situation.
The report by Andrea Mitchell about Iran nuclear program showed the US delegation flying back and forth to Israel is critical in preventing a confrontation. Even the Pentagon stating if Israel strikes Iranian nuclear facilities it could destabalize the situation. Hopefully, the meeting of Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Obama in 2 weeks may help quell the situation. Hopefully, things remain peaceful.
Mr.Williams, the piece you did about John Glenn and his 50year Anniversary of orbiting the earth certainly showed how dangerous the mission and that John Glenn was a true hero in completing the mission. Hearing about the technology of the capsule showed how far we have come in space technology. It is far too bad the manned space program has ceased at NASA and the United States has to rely on the Russians to get a man into space now. It was truly a great achievement John Glenn did 50yrs ago and it is great 50yrs later it was celebrated.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Excellent Reporting As Always!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Brian, I recall that Libyan rebels found chemical weapons in mid-November 2011 (which would have have been
Mother's 92nd birthday had she lived) and if the WMDS are in Syria as I have always believed, it is not
out of the realm of possiblity that the Syrian rebels would find the WMDs. And I am inclined to think that
since Russia sold weapons to Gadhafi and Syria, he also sold the WMDs to Saddam who later moved
them to Syria for safekeeping. Changing the subject, Jeb Bush's name came up today for a GOP
presidential consideration. Have a nice evening! Phyllis
