Merry Christmas!

This is the third time that I have tried to post on the blog....let me see what did I write.....must be important...hopefully I get better with each try :/

I hope that you are having a wonderful relaxing time where ever you have traveled to and wanted to wish you all the best in the new year.

We continue to enjoy the broadcast...especially last Wednesday's when you had the segment on Pawn shops. With a New Jersey accent Pawn and Porn sound the same....perhaps you are losing your Jersery accent but my husband has not and it has caused him some embarrassment when he said unaware of this fact "My daughter and I like to watch Pawn Stars together"....yikes

The slip you made about "half time at a hockey game"....very easily made. Now that Winnipeg has a NHL team again we are watching hockey and NFL football constantly. I wasn't one of the Canadian friends who called in to tell you of your error....truthfully, I didn't notice. I feel that you have a very challenging job....very few could do it better (in my opinion, no one)and I don't want to be that critical "fan" that was always listing your errors or what he/she saw to be your failings. We miss you writing on this blog more than you will ever know and hopefully when the time is right you shall engage us with your daily musings once again.....my wish for 2012 would be this.

Good Evening Mr.Holt, A fine broadcast this evening. Nice to see you again filling in for Mr.Williams.

First of all the report by Mr.Melvin about the tragic fire at home in Connecticutt on Christmas. So extremely sad the loss of the Grandfather Lomer Johnson and his wife along with their three grandchildren. Mr.Johnson was truly a hero in trying to save one of the little girls from the fire by being outside the window to help her escape. So truly heartbreaking the loss of all the family members and ones thoughts and prayers go out the the mother who lost her children and father and mother.

The firefighters stating the cause of the fire was fireplace ash and discarded embers is understandable when the fireplace was certainly in use during the cold weather. Possibly with all the renovation the family should not have been living in the home at the time, but it is extremely tragic. Heartwrenching to see a makeshift memorial near the home. Simply very sad.

On another note the report by Mr.Truong showed how UPS is busy with all the holiday gift returns. Handling 300 packages per second and 46,000 packages per hour is incredible. Online sales have increased since last year and with retailers offering free return shipping such as Zappos it is good for consumers.

Nice to see Prince Philip being discharged from the hospital. One hopes he continues to recover nicely.

The piece by Mr.Mott from Portland, Maine about the program called, "Hour Exchange" where people help eachother during these tough economic times by bartering for services is a nice idea and really helping people. All kinds of skills being used to help others and it truly builds the community.

The piece by Michelle Kosinski about Siku, the cute baby polar bear who is being hand raised by zookeepers in Denmark was really nice. Such a cute and cuddly baby polar bear who will certainly grow to a big polar bear. But he is so adorable with all his antics and one hopes he remains healthy.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Holt. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Peace to You and to All!

    Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!

Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

hope everyone had a blessed Christmas.

Now all the talk is who will win Iowa. My guess is Ron Paul and even Butter Cow will again get votes as the voters seem to be undecided. Mitt will end up being the GOP winner over all and Gov. Christie will be his VP pick.

Nice to see so much Law Makers made millions during the time in office and many got to be multimillionaires betting against the US Economy by inside trading. As we see the true poker playing Law Makers fold and retire with their winnings. Only in America can a used car salesman/felon come in office with a dime an in a short 10 years using his criminal skills is now worth 400 million dollars. Yes Congressman Issa would make the Mafia proud for a job well done. Even today Issa is raking in the millions now that California has a re district plan.

Good to see Judges are getting back to making Justice decision and look for a CEO to be indicted by the AG of New York. Behind the scenes in DC things are quickly changing not because of President Obama but because of the American people standing up to the corrupt Law Makers/Corporations/Banks. We're cleaning the Government from the inside out. Now on a special note I wish Chuck Hagel would run for office he's a great leader. We should think more about a candidate who puts the people first and not a political partner.

      have a great evening

Issa was rich before he got to congress. you people do nothing but spread lies and BS

Jackie, I really feel sorry for you. You need to branch out and read more than Centers for American Progress and Media Matters. You are very missinformed about how Congressman Issa made his money.

Let me know where Charlie Rangell made all his money?

            #3.2 - Wed Dec 28, 2011 11:20 AM EST

Where is the money, Corzine? Jackie, of interest, perhaps: It has been reported Jon Corzine

paid Clinton's company $50,000 for monthly advice, mainly for buying the Euro financials that

recently collapsed." Well, as the former president has coined," you never know." Have a nice

            day all. Phyllis

you guys are so funny I forgot to tell you I live in Riverside Country oh and Rep. Issa lives in Vista, which can google. Yes we know alot about Issa even when he ran against Senator Barbara Boxer. As you calling me a liar well anyone can get the Issa record at the police department's public records and even with the court case. Rep. Issa forgot to get the weapons conviction expunged. But for people who would rather call people liars because they chose not be believe well you can understand why the country is in the mess. Many who live in States know about their officials as even another local Congressman was caught with a prostitute in a car. We're California and for some around the US they like to believe the fake stories. Calling a person a liar doesn't change the truth. Try visiting us out here in Southern California it's really nice all year around. Can't speak for those in LA but I can speak for those that live in my Country.

Oh and that MF Global robbery is bad but nothing compared to the 5 US major Banks illegally foreclosing on soldiers homes who made their payments by direct deposit. I have notice Americans don't see that as a problem but are really worried about Corzine and World investors. Americans might want to pay more attention to the US taxpayers money that was stolen over the 8 years of the crime wave. But it seems the crooks know how to distract Americans with other topics.

                #3.4 - Wed Dec 28, 2011 6:36 PM EST

If you are going to call Issa a crook, you need to lump the other 534 elected officials in Washington D.C. in with him as everyone has ripped off the american people. What is the latest report, the averae persons income rose abut 1.6% while congresses wealth has increased by 8 or 10 times. There is not one of them that can stand in front of a camara and tell the truth.

                  #3.5 - Wed Dec 28, 2011 6:57 PM EST

Your most likely right but I was talking about one of our Country Congressman Issa. I just felt being called a liar by anyone who didn't know our local news about our local Law Makers. I suppect others know alot about their State Law Makers then those who just follow the news. Oh and several of the documents were in the local news paper and that's what made me have to explain I'm not a liar that you called me. I'm sure you know much more information about your local elected Law Makers then those who don't live where you do and I wouldn't call you a liar like you called me.

                    #3.6 - Wed Dec 28, 2011 8:37 PM EST

I called no body a liar. Last I looked at websters, misinformed did not equal liar.

                      #3.7 - Wed Dec 28, 2011 11:24 PM EST

I stand corrected it was Dave but I do take concerned on your words of misinformed since you don't live in Riverside Country nor have you got the local news of our elected officials. The Riverside Courts don't record misinformed information but maybe they do in your area. Our city and country police aren't misinformed on their records. I do feel sorry for you because you seem to have a serious problem with the truth. It's sad when even court records and police reports are enough proof for some who hold on to the fairy tale.

I enjoy reading the comments from others who live in different States as I hope they get to know a little bit more of Southern California.

                        #3.8 - Thu Dec 29, 2011 12:50 AM EST

Yeah it was me who is still calling her a liar about Issa being broke when he got to congress. Issa was worth millions and millions when he first ran for congress.

                          #3.9 - Thu Dec 29, 2011 1:57 PM EST

Dave it's called assets and liabilities as you missed the news in Riverside when Jim Minarik took Direct Electronic Inc and got the company for a steal. As Mr. Issa said in 1999 he was moving into politics. Dave I know you know alot about assets and liabilities where your limited in cash but use the liabilities as present and future value. Issa is always in the Riverside news and until the courts/police records/Direct Electronic Inc are all liars one might believe Darrell Issa's words then your insight. As business have to first pay off any/all debts before a final sale the amount isn't as high as one would hope. But yes the Riverside reports and Mr. Issa's own words are complete lies because you know more then he does about his own life. To bad you can't give him a vote because with the re districting this year he wont get on office.

Good Evening Mr.Holt, a fine broadcast this evening.

The report by Andrea Mitchell about Iran trying to block traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is disturbing and will not be tolerated. This route being a major oil supply route from the Persian Gulf to other supply routes where 1/6th of the world's oil comes through. Iran has threatened to do this action befoe and now the Petagon is responding with a tough rebuttle. Possibly, Iran is responding to the Senate voting for tougher sanctions and if they did block the route it would cause oil prices to rise and hurt the economy. Also, it is disturbing to learn the Arab League having arrived in Syria is blocked from inspecting certain key areas. It is terrible to see the constant violence happening in the country. One truly hopes it ends soon.

The report by Adriennne Mong about the funeral for Kim Jong Il showed some bazaar behavior by the people along the procession route. Seeing the people of North Korea mourning and crying seemed somewhat staged, yet it is difficult to prove. The people who fled North Korea to live in South Korea paint a different picture of how Kim Jong Il treated the citizens. In causing millions to starve to death and other tortures. Much question remains as to how the son will handle being in charge of the country.

On another note the report by Mr. Taibbi showed how this winter has not produced much snowfall and many States that usually see alot of snowfall by now are not seein any. Ski resorts have snow machines sitting idle and not much snowfall has come to some Northeastern States. Possibly, there will be snowfall coming soon and hopefully to help the ski resorts. Time will tell.

The "Making A Difference" segment by Anne Thompson about Chief Master Sergeant Antoinette Kolesnikov was inspirational. She is doing so much to help the troops in her community. Wonderful work!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Holt. Peace to You and to All!

I notice many of Americans and the Media call the suffering seen by the people of North Korea as a stage. Funny how we watched the tears and emotion by Americans as we hear President Kennedy was dead, yet no one said the US citizens staged the lost. The people of North Korea loved their Leader Kim Jong Il and at lease President Carter showed respect by sending condolences to Kim Jong un, showing not all Americans are disrespectful. I hope the New Leader will make changes of peace that his Father didn't do. I have seen how the Law Makers/Media/Press/Americans are showing disrespect and lack of matters as it seem to be popular when Rep. Joe Wilson shouted You Lie to the United States President as it was seen Worldwide. Poor example to young people and the next generation. Most remember what their parents taught them.

As the Media does it's best to build up the Iowa Causes it seems few citizens are attending the speeches. Iowa news is reporting many citizens wish a new candidate would enter the race, some ask that Sarah Palin's name be written on the ballot and Rick Santorum has the answer to how the US can recover from this Recession as all we have to do is get a high school diploma and get married. Rev. Huckabee has the answer to who the winner will be and he advised the weather will decide. If it rains Paul will win and it's nice weather Mitt will win. Now the biggest problem for the GOP is the large minority voters. Now if the GOP Leaders and rush to the US Supreme Court to repeal Voting Rights or just let a selected group of Americans to vote.

                              have a great evening all

That was North Korea's 1%. If Obama and his corrupt AG get removed form office in 2012 you'll probably see a bunch of corrupt democrats on Wall Street crying like that too. We can almost bet the State Owned Media people who live and work in the city that screwed America (they were acting in their own economic best interest) will all show up on TV wearing black again like they did when Comrade Kerry lost. bahahhaha

As few friends read your comment an we understand in your opinion Obama and the Democrats come in 2000 and brought this country to a Recession and two Wars. I always fine your comments interesting conversation. Yes to bad we have that term limit for Presidents as Bush/Cheney would still be in office and we could have cleaned out those Democrats from the House/Senate/Congress. Your one of the smartest people I know to figure out Obama messed this country up from 2000 to today. Maybe Ron Paul can get in office and bring his plan or Rick Santorum could make laws for Americans to follow. Newt has ideas of replacing janitors with poor kids as young as 5 years old. Yes Dave this will be interesting to see how many voters think like you. But what's good about America is we all have to freedom to express what we think.

Good Evening Mr.Smith, a fine broadcast this evening. Good to see you fillling in for Mr.Williams this evening. Enjoy your reports on Rock Center.

The reports by Mr.Alexander and Mr.Todd from Iowa regarding the Republican Candidates running in the Iowa Caucus showed all the candidates making their final arguments for gaining the most votes. The constant attacks by each candidate towards another is certainly frustrating for the voters and some really unhappy with the choices. Each candidate expresses different views on certain issues and only time will tell which candidate will win the Iowa Caucus.

On another note the piece by Mr.Sanders about the theme parks being overwhelmed with visitors revealed how people are finding a way to dig deep in their finances to go and enjoy a nice theme park. Even though people have to wait long for rides or come into the theme park at a later time due to too many visitors they seem to be really enjoying themselves. Good for families to have some fun and for the theme parks.

The piece by Mr.Lewis about NASA sending a rocket to orbit the moon and study more about the moon's surface was ineresting and proves there is still much more to learn about the moon. Hopefully, everything will go well over the weekend with the launch of the rocket into orbit around the moon.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Smith. Peace to You and to All!

Exciting day as a group friends and I took gifts to March Airforce Base and we watched you Mr. Smith with some of the soldiers. It was a great show and you made for much conversation with the topics today. I let some of the soldiers read this blog sight to see how Americans do pay attention and yes Lisa many enjoyed your comment as one soldier asked if you were a teacher. (smile) Remember we're 3 hours later then the East Coast. I like sharing this sight as the more people listen to others the better we become. I remembered Phyllis is from Kentucky and soldiers started talking about those in their troop from Kentucky. I soldier even called his friend and told him to watch Nightly News when we tuned in tonight. So many smiles and kids were all over opening the gifts. No politics just enjoying being home and it was great. I love sharing this sight and my friends on this blog with others.

I did enjoy the space story as it was like the pass when my family watch the first man on the Moon and my GrandMother said it was fake. We finally got her to realize it was real and she was amazed. Allowing the kids to join in the mission in their own way will build on their future interest. JFK made my generation realize their is a big Universe out there.

i wonder if some of nasa's astronauts who are doctors have developed a means for taking down something like that new super flu virus that was just developed. especially after h1n1. i forgot i still had a piece of that pumpkin that i had steamed in the fridge. i put it out on the kitchen counter with the plastic wrap still on and let it get nice and green and furry before i threw it out. like the moldy bread of the civil war that the southern belles used to heal their soldiers, i wonder it it was something like an antigen. my niece calls my little trailer 'aunt martina's lab'. i hope someone is working on the lymphoma that is showing up in young men and women in their 20's. my sister's niece just had a positive run with the chemo for her hodgkins lymphoma. her friend's son was just diagnosed with lymphoma and had to undergo surgery to fuse the vertebrae from his cranium to the thoracic vertebrae. the lymphoma had eaten an entire vertebrae and there were holes in the others. geesh, that lymphoma is vicious! i hope he responds quickly to his chemo as well.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast for the first Monday in January 2012! Glad you were able to enjoy the holiday with your family. Mr.Holt., Kate Snow and Mr.Smith did a great job filling in for you. A Very Happy New Year to You!

First of all the report by Andrea Mitchell about the Iowa Caucus for the GOP Candidates which seems to be changing frontrunners every other day. Certainly many undecided voters in the State who will make up their mind basically after speeches have been made at the caucus on Tuesday evening. All the candidates vying for votes and some gaining momentum while others are subsiding. It will be evening of uncertainty as to which candidate will be the winner. The voters will soon make the decision.

The report by Mr.Mott really showed how so many voters simply don't know who they will vote for in the caucus. Such a large percentage and it does make it difficult to know the outcome. A long evening of voting.

The report by Mr.Seidel from Sherman, NY told of how winter has arrived in many States with heavy snowfall, high winds and cold temperatures. Seeing the highways shutdown and blowing snow tells of the problems all this wintry weather can cause people travelling. One hopes everyone stays safe and warm.

Nice overview of the stories over the last few days.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Looking forward to Rock Center this evening! Peace to You and to All!
