I found that video of the adorable baby polar bear earlier today and I won't say how many times I watched it but I have a feeling you probably viewed it a few times yourself.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A great broadcast this evening. Wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast and in the studio! Nice to see him in New York!

First of all Richard's analysis of the 16 bombing attacks in Baghdad which certainly are horrible and tragic with the loss of so many lives. With the US Troops withdrawn from the region the violence appears to have returned and the government has no control over the chaos. As Richard stated the government in Iraq is collapsing after the US Troops handed over control to Prime Minister Maliki. Returning to a civil war as happened in the region from 2006-2007 then the "surge" of US Troops quelled the situation. The two groups of Shiites and Sunnis are fighting again with Sunnis fighting for survival while the Shiite government is in power. So very tragic for all the citizens living in the region as one truly hopes the groups will end their fight. Only time will tell as this is a never ending battle. So very sad.

The report by Kelly O'Donnell telling of Congress coming a a deal with the two month extension of the payroll tax and unemployment benefits is encouraging. It always seems to come down to the wire with the parties arguing over major issues affecting millions of Americans. Of course, they will be right back at the issue come two months from now, but at least there was a temporary agreement made by the parties. Right before the holidays.

Very cute polar bear being raised by people. So cute at only 7lbs!

Another incredible Christmas light display in Virginia. Amazing how these people are able to put together the huge displays.

The update to the "Making A Difference" segment by Chris Jansing about the Hidalgo family who was facing hard times with thew parents loss of jobs and home in foreclosure. It was great the Texas family helped them and now the father has a job and they are working out the finances of keeping their home. It was wonderful to see the Hidalgos decorating their Christmas tree. Two families that have formed a bond.

      A nice heartwarming piece!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Travel Safely! Peace to You and to All!

Hope You and Your Family Have A Very Merry Christmas!

      Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Wonderful to See You in New York! Excellent Reporting as Always!

Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

GOP called the need for 167 million Americans tax cut a high stake poker game and wanted to see who would blink first. President Obama stayed in DC to make sure the House/Congress/Senate did the job they were elected to do. Well the People won this time and next year the GOP will again play games with the lives of the American people. We get what we voted for and it seems nothing. Cantor the wanna be Speaker of the House pushed Boehner aside and took over demanding President Obama tell Democrat Senators to come back. But it seems Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said no way and even many House/Congress members have left. All the freshman Tea Party Law Makers left so Boehner has few law makers left and Cantor knows he's got the top job. All this fuss because the President wouldn't sign the pipeline bill.

MERRY CHRISTMAS/ HAPPY HANNAKA AND SEE YOU MONDAY I'M OFF TO VISIT FAMILY FOR A FEW DAYS.

        have a great evening all

I will have to eat my words. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is the coolest negoitaor in Washington

but, hey, I am biased. Mitch is from Kentucky. Have a safe trip, Jackie.

By the pusillanimous standards of network news, Brian Williams intro to the night’s lede, that House Republicans had caved and were quickly signing on to the payroll tax cut extension they had just rejected, was a masterpiece of bloated evasion. Note the assiduous attempt to refrain from any interpretive journalism, to call this what it obviously was, *a Republican defeat*. So scared is NBC of its own shadow and any possibility that simple truth telling will be taken for “lib’rul” media bias, NBC can’t utter a simple declarative sentence. Here's the gaseous intro:

While life in this country has gone on – as it always seems to – despite what’s happening in Washington – over these past few days the Capitol has been consumed in gridlock over a payroll tax increase that was coming in the new year. It’s the kind of gridlock we’ve seen a lot lately, only this one ended a bit differently and it ended just tonight. The president said today enough is enough, and he threw down to the Republicans in the House. One thing led to another. Phone calls were exchanged, and then tonight House Speaker John Boehner said, quote, “We reached a deal.” Now, the questions: For how long? What does this mean? And how do they get there. [throws to Kelly O’Donnell]

Will President Obama now seranade Kentucky's Mitch McConnell with, "I owe it all to you"?

              Just asking!!!

Obama won nothing it was the American people who won this as 160 million people stood up and demand Congress/House work in the best interest of the people. Even if the GOP called this high stake poker, it's no a game to play with Americans lives.

I see it as a victory for President Obama with the support of 160 million people.......and

Mitch McConnell, and Mitch is a good man for the President to have in his corner and now

everybody will have a very Merry Christmas. We are all in this together! As my son-in-law (Jason)'s

grandfather once said, "If you want real help, get somebody from Kentucky." It was in

reference to WW2 but applicalbe to Mitch McConnell. Merry Christmas, Jackie and Happy Holiday

                  Phyllis
