Good Monday Morning Brian
I was disappointed that this story didn't address claims by the Postal Workers Union that the Postal Services problems are because of costs forced on them by Congress.
So, the Post Office is getting even slower than now? I sent a check to the person that prepares my taxes in Februrary, he called in March said he didn’t get payment, sent another check, he called me in August and said guess what I just got thru the mail. A year or so earlier I notice late payment on my bills to certain Dept. stores, send in another payment , three months down the road I notice that those checks finally rolled in so I was given credit on my accounts, that has happened two or three times. You mean they’re going to get slower than that ?
By the way, I filed a formal complaint twice with P.O.and spoke to a supervisor, was told they check their machines every day for letters that get stuck inside, but if they do why do my checks finally reach their destination in three months and the check to my Tax preparer takes the cake at six months to deliver. You should do an Investigative Report on a certain Post Office in Queens and find out what their problem is.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a great broadcast this evening. Always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast and even in the studio! Looking forward to seeing Rock Center tonight!
First of all the report by Mr.Costello about the USPS and the slowing down of First Class Mail next year due to massive budget problems and the closing of many post offices all across the nation. Letters and bills will take one day longerv to reach their destination and magazines and newspapers even longer. The internet is the cause of the drop in the usage of what is called "snail mail" with people paying bills online and sending emails to stay connected. One always hopes everything reaches its destination on time.
Richard's report from Mali about the gold mines showed how dangerous it is to work at these mines and how tragic that children are being used to work in the mines. Seeing Richard go down into the mine showed the fragile walls of the mine being only of rock and soft mud. The wooden supports did not look strong enough to prevent the walls from collapsing. One can fully understand why Richard did not wish to stay down in the mine too long. The number of children being around 20- 40,000 working in the mines in staggering and they are suffering so many health problems such as being exposed to mercury. The mining of precious gold to be sold on the markets all over the world. It is tragic how it comes to pass.
The report by Mr.Bazell about concussions with football players and how Stanford University is having one player wear a special mouthguard to transmit the forces to the helmut was interesting and can hopefully prevent players from getting seriously injured. Reducing the risk of serious concussions in a game will help in designing better helmuts for players. Getting a hurt player off the field in the most important thing to do and keeping them safe from injury in the future. This research will hopefully help in colleges and high schools all over the nation.
The "Making A Difference'' segment by Anne Thompson showed how one woman in Massachusetts is helping so many people find jobs in this tough economy. Her career center seems to help in so many ways such as interviewing, image and self worth. Hearing from the successes of those who found jobs was encouraging and it will certainly help many more people.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Looking forward to Rock Center tonight!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Excellent Reporting as Always! Looking forward to more of your report on Rock Center! Great to see you in New York and in the studio!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

“On what basis does Amnesty International want us to arrest Mr Bush? Tell them to hang, and also please ask them to create their own country and wait for Mr Bush to visit their country so that they can arrest him to suit their wish and not here in Zambia,” Foreign Minister Chishimba Kambwili told AFP. bhahahhahha
good post GWB does not deserve this blankety blank.
On MSNBC Blog, an awesome article about Pearl Harbor's Sunset ceremony, and I immediately recalled the
poignant words in "The Last Valentine"....'His eyes were on the west, the setting sun. It was a rising sun
for others. Soon he would be with them.' Truly, The Great Generation. We are blessed to have some from
that Generation with us still. Phyllis Kunz
