- Facebook IPO could value the company at $100 billion
- Obese third grader taken from home, placed in foster care
- Stalin's daughter, Lana Peters, dies at 85

I'm hoping to get this to Brian Williams or his staff...
I have had a question and possibly an idea for a story, especially now that Rock Center is on, in that it is a little more involved than could be done on Nightly News.
My question and/or thought is this: Take me through the steps and do the math to explain how a $100 barrel of crude oil becomes $4.00 a gallon gasoline. It is something that affects every american, yet I doubt but a few understand the process.
Long time NBC viewer!

More folks doing jobs Americans just won't do.
How about a story on the American Airlines CEO, COO and CFO pay raises- millionaires all - Must be great to increase your pay while blaming corporate failure on "labor".
Did you really think that you , a self-proclaimed “fire guy”, would be exempt from being interrupted by a fire alarm? I remember when Conan was in the building his show got hit with that and I believe it’s happened more than once on the Today Show, turns out your turn just seemed to last so much longer than theirs.
Brian, today was not my day either except I wasn't on TV like you so I suppose it is like comparing oranges
and apples, but my husband was out to lunch with friends, and his lap top computer started making
this loud noise and continued for hours. My husband's cell phone was turned off, and my not being
high tech I did not touch it because I did not know what the problem was. Later I found out but I won't
go into it. Anyway, you have infinite patience and are a class act. Phyllis
Brian great report as must still look to spread the blame and even are clueless as to what is going on today. With the few good Anchors left it's hard but you do the best you can with what you have. Viewers attack because they are watching Fox News which really has taken control over Americans.
Now to facts 1933 the Glass and Steagall Act put the citizens first and set laws protecting them. Then in 1999 the players set in plan to repeal that act and well we see what happen. Few Americans are clueless to what has been going on and don't know when the country went wrong. The rush to fix the 2000 elected had to happen or the country would be still growing with jobs and economy. With the success of the appointment of a President the mission was complete. Our last hope was US Treasury Secretary Stan O'Neal who saw the Recession coming and warned the President/Vice President and Congress. O'Neal took office in 2001 was appointed and quickly fired 2002 after that public information. Now the country has been successfully integrated in just about every Department of the Government. Few even knew 2004 Fed Chief Alan Greenspan and US Treasury Secretary John Snow put the robbery in play, except Snow got caught in his crime and the move to get another inside crook to replace him. Goldman Sachs CEO Hank Paulson was appointed and he brought along employees to do the work. Goldman an investment company quickly added banking to get the free Fed/Bailout money set up. At lease we know how it started and who are those involved. Hank even gave inside trading information to friends and the Law Makers saw they could make millions doing the same thing. The smartest man in the group was California used car salesman/convicted criminal Congressman Issa. Issa saw he could commit crimes as a Congressman and it's legal. Issa had pennies when elected in 2001 and reported today Issa's financial wealth as a Congressman is 300 million dollars and that's not adding his salary.
Many looked for more from the Murray case but few remember Michael Jackson had many many other doctors who gave Michael drugs. Many Doctors turned down many for their services even with the 250 thousand a month salary but Murray went for the money. California has many rich celebrities using drugs and that doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. All the talk about cracking down on drugs is just talk.
Brian don't even try to explain how a barrel of oil cost 100 dollars but the price of gas is still 4 dollars. It's been explained since 2000 and still people don't understand and never will. Those that paid attention understand those who just watch your lips move never will.
see you same time same place
That must be some of that Progressive honesty again. Yeah Issa had pennies before he went to congress. Only problem with that line is it was 300 million dollars worth of pennies.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this evening while handling the situation with the fire alarm blaring in the building as a true professional. You did a great job during the broadcast while the sounds of the alarm kept ringing. Your humor was wonderful especially when you went to the first report by Mr.Costello. Truly a terrific job Mr.Williams.
First of all the report by Andrea Mitchell about the attack in the British Embassy in Tehran which certainly brought back scenes of the attack on the US Embassy in 1979 when US hostages were held for 444 days. Seeing the government militia group storming the embassy in breaking windows amidst other actions. There are questions as to whether top officials in Iran gave approval for the attack since there are extreme tensions between Iran and Britain along with the United States and other countries. This government militia also being responsible for attacks during the student protests of elections in 2009. A tense debate topic amongst all world leaders.
The report by Mr.Costello about American Airlines filing for bankruptcy told of another major airline facing huge mounting debt in the billions relating to American Airlines. Customers should understandably have some concern about scheduling flights, frequent flyer miles and the future of the airline. One hopes things will get better, although it will take a long time. Meanwhile, people still have to fly airplanes to get to destinations. One hopes for a positive outcome.
The report by Mr.Potter about the mexican drug trafficking at the border was alarming and seeing the aggressive drivers showed how detemined they are to not get caught by authorities. Incredible to see them drive their cars into the Rio Grande to try and escape. A dangerous fight for the authorities.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Brian - you were the epitome of cool last night.
Brian, You got rave reviews on AOL on how you handled the fire alarm last night. Cool, classy and
professional were the words most used and one blogger wrote Fox would have mistaken it for
the Second Coming! And they love your sense of humor!!!! You outfox Fox!!!!
Nice timing, Brian.
Dear Brian, I am an avid follower of your news broadcast. Also, you gained a whole bunch of credit for buying the Mustang when you first started in the seat. However, last night was deplorable. ANYONE hearing a fire alarm SHOULD ALWAYS heed the warning, especially in front of a national audience. Nothing less than an all clear from ONLY the Fire Department would be proper. Especially in front of the children, nothing short of SHAME ON YOU and the entire crew. Granted, I am not sure what you could of done but evacuation should be the number one priority. Taking the 'never mind' from the producer is akin to the ole 'trust me' from the used car salesman!
Brian, Big day for stocks, so the economy must be getting better. I hope the Rev. Billy Graham is home
for Christmas with his family and their prayers for him are answered. Your broadcast this evening
was successfully completed, and my husband and I are sure glad of that. I remember the
Tom Brokaw scare with mail delivered to NBC. Anthax? Amthax? Anthrax, that's it, thanks to my
husband who got the correct spelling. Have a nice evening.
