What we're following:
- Jerry Sandusky says he is "innocent of those charges"
- Occupy protesters removed from NYC park
- Rep. Giffords won't return to Congress until she is better
And did you see...
- Man who started the batting glove trend dies at 93
- Boyfriend of Herman Cain accuser affirms her story
- Best job outlook seen in central, Northeast states

I caught Bob Costas interview with Coach Jerry Sandusky and while innocent until proven guilty I don't buy hishorseplay with the boys. An article " A Failed Generation" appeared this morning in the
Louisville Courier Journal. Thomas L. Day who is 31 makes a powerful indictment against that generation;
"And I have fully lost faith in the leadership of my parents' generation I speak not specifically of
our parents -- I have two loving one--but of the public leaders our parents' generation has produced."
As for me, I think that generation is The Lost Generation, and I speak specifically of the ones I know.
You made me google and I just read that. You know who is to blame? All those "stupid people" who are willing to vote against their own economic best interest (hand outs form government)
Just ask any of these worthless miserable failures on TV in the city that screwed America (New York), our "watchdogs" bahaahahahaha Oh but don't worry when the chit hit the fan they and their families will be safe, they've been well paid to LIE
An awesome article, loved it. Dave, I do not remember which administration CRS), but that slogan
""It's About the Economy, Stupid" is now on the money. We are on the same wavelength, I was
just thinking yesterday when watching the News, the chit has hit the fan and it will be messy
for the miserable failures who have made it miserable for us and they will be miserable and we
will be in the money, in a manner of speaking. About time. No money, no fun. Have a nice day!
In light of the Penn. State sex abuse scandal, I think I can safely say being a victim of sexual abuse myself, many sexual abuse victims have been reminded of the trickle down effect that living in fear and silence inflicts upon those involved.
Like most cases of multiple accusers, had there only been one or two incidents of questionable nature, Jerry Sandusky might have a leg to stand on, but when you have several incidents and actually have eye witnesses, not just hearsay or verbal accusations, you have to begin to question the innocence of this guy.
The horrible truth is that Mike McQueary and Joe Paterno's silence (for whatever reason), probably led to many more victims; how many more will probably never be known.
This case will eventually die down and the band wagon banners will fade into the background but the damage the victims' lie down with every night will never go away or be forgotten for their cross to bear has been branded in their souls forever reminded of what lies outside their window.
I came across an Acrostic poem (first letter spells out a word) my husband wrote in light of this scandal. Thought it was appropriate to reproduce (with his permission of course):
P-A-T-E-R-N-O
Papa Joe
A witness to hell
Took the low road
Effortless to tell
Replete from the show
Never feeling the pain
Only victims would know.

Sandusky has alot of company and protectors who still aren't exposed. Many abusers don't see their conduct as abuse and fine others with their same view. Churches have done this for centuries because people didn't want to believe. Many are blamed for not doing more but how much is more? Notifying the head person wasn't acceptable, we learned even the police did an investigation was done with the decision to close the case. Paterno was the scape goat as the Board thought that would end the problems because a Penn State symbol had be kicked out. We learned Rep. Mark Foley had been selectively molesting kids for years but not one Law Maker who helped cover his crimes up for years was ever investigated or charged. The outrage by some is done to cover up who they are. A Judge releases Sandusky when any regular people would be held in jail to protect other kids. Voters in Massachusetts don't see a problem with Senator Brown keeping the name of his abuser a secret for all these years while this rapist continues to rape kids.
I really felt bad for Mrs. Cain as it was clear she is submissive to her husband and dodged the two victims who settled after their complaints. Mr. Cain used his wife and family to sway the view to voters. Mrs. Cain didn't know about her husbands disrespect toward former Speaker Pelosi or his joke about sexual harass victim Anita Hill as she said she doesn't watch the news.
Mayor Bloomberg lost in court as he tried to remove OWS for his Wall Street friends. Now OWS has taken their mission to Egypt and most likely Libya when they form their government. Banks might be able to use Law Makers and officials but when the newly formed governments don't use the 5 major corrupt US banks the will feel the paid. Chase CEO Jamie Dimon brags the banks biggest business is overseas well he might be singing a different tune. All Banks are Global and the success goes to a bank with alot of customers and investers. Some Americans stick their heads in the sand while the world changes. Law Makers used the smoke screen of President Obama while their No Vote and free spending/borrowing as the Law Makers place their bets against the US Economy. Now that was the best bet when you made yourself a big winner and the American people where so busy attacking the President. sweet. Even the Mafia would be proud. Rep. Issa a used car saleman who got convict for having a weapon, and promised he would change his ways. Issa saw a way to do crimes illegally and get rich at the same time. He was elected Congressman in 2001 with only his salary, in 10 short years as noted in 2011 Rep. Issa is worth 300 million dollars as his crime skills paid off and he wont be charged with those crimes. Jack Abramoff might just run for office and Bernie Madoff could be an elected Law Makers once out of jail. Issa proved Crime does pay if your a House/Congress/Senate elected official. Martha Stewart was convicted of inside trading and didn't make as much money as the Law Makers but she went to jail.
Perry suggest Law Makers work half a year and get half their salary. He didn't look at Speaker Boehner's scheduled for the House/Congress. Boehner has 72 days of work for the year of 2011 and 293 days for fund-raising, vacations, backroom deals, campaigning, inside trading and working with lobbyist. Now the Law Makers work 2 months and a week out of the year, so Perry is a little late.
The biggest scam was by Chase. Several soldiers who applied for Chase jobs were turned down but Chase ads run they hire Vets. I wasn't shocked because I had suggested my daughter apply to Chase and got first hand knowledge of how it works. She applied for every job listed. Her background is a college grad. and 5 years working in Army Finance Department. She would complete orders/request by contractor and handled billions in payments as well as check to soldiers. Just think who handles billions of dollars for 5 years without knowing what their doing. She did have previous experience as a manager in a Movie Theater and working for Social Security office. But the shocker for us was she was denied employed because Chase said she wasn't qualified. It gets better she was sent a letter saying she didn't qualify for a part time teller. Now reviewing Chases qualifications for a tellers job it reads just a high school education. So our soldiers and Vets know the Bank scams with the Ads and the false reports by the Media/Press. This is how our Vets are being treated and Law Makers are helpless to do anything. Side not Bank of America and Wells Fargo did the same thing.
Brian you really got people talking after your show last night. A few friend from Massachusetts spoke of a case of the Boston Red Socks manager Donald Fitzpatrick who from 1971 to 1991 selected a dozen black kids and molested them. ESPN Howard Bryant reported at a Red Sox game a kid held up a sign saying Fitzpatrick had molested him. The matter was quickly settled but it opened up to other victims. All this talk about Sandusky as their are many others who haven't been exposed yet.
After the headline news about how Law Makers have been getting rich by inside trading it seems those who are running for office or candidates running for President are now saying they will end the inside trading. This remains me of the CIS song " We wont be fooled again" or will we? Tell them what they want to hear. 2010 the promise made for votes the Law Makers would take the majority and work on Jobs bill first, well they lied.
Why doesn't Bob Costas age?
Lynch mob comments do not help.
You are right: Bob Costas does not age but his hair is different, not the dry look he sported
when he ribbed a Coach about his slick hair.

Comments from Bloggers, not Mr. Costas do not help
On Sunday's story about the relationship between sugar and heart disease in women, the Nightly News producers spelled "triglycerides" as "tryiglycerides". Perhaps the geniuses at Nightly News weren't sure if the word began with "tri-" or "try-", so they decided their best option was to spell it both ways at once. Great thinking, guys. If the Nightly News producers can't spell basic words that are in any dictionary, how can we trust them to report important facts? We can't.
Every time Brian Williams introduces a story about the Penn State sex abuse scandal, he tells us that the correspondent is reporting from "State College, P-A". Why is he verbally abbreviating Pennsylvania as "P-A"? He doesn't abbreviate any other state names. He never says "Houston, T-X" or "Detroit, M-I". It's ridiculous that he does this only with Pennsylvania. I guess Brian thinks it sounds nifty.
Once again, Nightly News ended their Sunday broadcast with a story about the NFL. They do this in order to promote NBC's Sunday Night Football, which follows Nightly News. Sunday's story was about Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots--one of the teams that would be playing later on NBC. This is, to say the least, unethical. Ignoring real news so they can serve their own self-interests by promoting football is not in the best interests of the viewers. Is there one person out there who thinks that a 3:15 story on Robert Kraft in any way qualifies as a news story? The FCC should revoke NBC's right to air a news broadcast.
On Monday, Brian reported for the second time about the Yale quarterback who was forced to decide between applying for a Rhodes Scholarship and playing in the Harvard-Yale game, both of which take place on Nov. 19. This was just another shameless way for Brian to plug the Harvard-Yale game, which will be televised on Versus, an NBC network. The only reason Brian mentioned this story (and the only reason Nightly News ran their original 2:30 story on it on Nov. 7) was to promote college football on Versus.
On Monday, Brian took thirty seconds to brag about the fact that Chelsea Clinton would be joining NBC News. Here's some of what he said: "She's anxious to report stories of volunteerism and highlight the great works of ordinary humanity that we encounter every day." What a load of propaganda. Obviously, Brian (and Chelsea) drank the NBC Kool-Aid. Does Brian (and his pal NBC News president Steve Capus) really believe that hiring daughters of former presidents and other celebrities is a substitute for seasoned news correspondents? There are probably dozens of tried-and-tested network reporters out there looking for jobs, and many more local reporters who are ready to move up to the big leagues. But instead, NBC News handed the microphone over to the Mickey Mouse Club. Chelsea Clinton, Jenna Bush Hager and Luke Russert combined do not add up to one network-quality news reporter. I don't know about you, but I want my news to be reported by Lois Lane, not Jimmy Olsen. Obviously, NBC's hiring of Clinton, Bush Hager and Russert is nothing more than a cheap ratings stunt designed to make people tune in to satisfy their curiosity. In other words, business as usual at NBC News.
Finally, a hearty congratulations go out to Diane Sawyer. Her "20/20" special with Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly made mincemeat out of "Rock Center" Monday night. According to the website TV By the Numbers (TVbythenumbers.com), "ABC’s 20/20 CRUSHED NBC’s competing Rock Center with Brian Williams in the hour, nearly tripling the NBC newsmagazine in Total Viewers (+198%) and more than doubling its Adult 18-49 delivery (+115%)." (I added the bold and capitals to "crushed".) Way to go, Diane!
Meanwhile, on Tuesday's Nightly News, Brian spent 45 seconds telling us about Giffords' video message to her constituents--without ever once mentioning Sawyer's "20/20" interview with Giffords! Of course, Brian spent the first six minutes of his Tuesday broadcast rehashing Bob Costas' "Rock Center" interview with Jerry Sandusky--including a 4:15 chunk of the interview followed by Brian's 1:15 interview with Costas about his interview with Sandusky. Later in the broadcast, Brian spent a minute replaying his interview with photographer Annie Leibovitz from--you guessed it--the previous night's "Rock Center". So Brian spent more than seven minutes of Nightly News recapping what happened Monday night on "Rock Center", but he refused to even acknowledge Diane Sawyer's interview with Gabby Giffords! As always, Brian's favorite job is reporting the news about Brian Williams.
