I so hope I get to stick around to see these old sixties radicals that have done so well for themselves dragging us down get what they have coming.
With malice toward some! paraphasing Abe Lincoln of course. BTW an
Indiana University professor loved that book With Malice Toward Some TGIF
Mayor Bloomberg did the best he could to protect Wall Street from the Protesters but he forgot there is a City Council who actually work for the citizens. All the talk about President Reagan these law makers sprout it seems his idiol Lech Walesa is coming to the US to support the Occupy Wall Street Protesters. Many Americans might not even know who Lech Walesa is because well US history even for those who lived during it seems to be forgotten. I heard Herman Cain support the end of the funding for education and teaches. Well that was a surprise as Herman Cain went to a segregatedschool as a youth in Georgia and attended Morehousea black college. I guess the Brown vs Board of Education case decision of 1954 got pass him and the land mark bills that brought desegregation to all school in the USA. Our Law Makers will make sure these CEO's keep getting those big rise and with the help of the American voters the rises could reach 50 per cent with enough more fees, foreclosures and getting employess to work for nothing. Moody's yes the agency that gave Lehman/Bear Sterns a triple A rating while the next day both collapsed, now says the President's Job Bill would bring a Recession. We can trust the word of Moody's and S&P as did all those investors who lost all their investments following the word of these two corrupt companies. Foreign countries know better as they lost their citizens money follow these corrupt agencies who got paid. France government Treasury was told by S&P/Moody's one day everything is great and Lehman/Bear Sterns are strong but when she wake up the next day France hear of the collapse and lost their investment along with millions of others. A bold face lie for greed and it worked very well.
With all the talk of how Americans are suffering and how families are struggling to feed their families we need only look at the Jobs Bill vote with 100 % of Republicans voting No as they speak for these people suffering and even 2 wealthy Democrats joined in. When will President Obama listen to the GOP who have told him they speak for the American people and are only doing what the majority of American people want them to do. We know Americans support the bill called Let woman Die and even want more bills that remove Woman's rights as even female Law Makers support this. As such success the Koch Bros have moved on to help the GOP get control of the Senate and then the mission will be accomplished.
So many people today her in California are wearing the black turle neck shirt yes me too. I'm still trying to catch up on the tech stuff but the young kids are so helpful and willing to explain everything.
have a great day all
all of that new tech stuff does a great job of developing a very short learning curve in all of the young people who use it and it's all about short learning curve these days! which is great for processing all of those worlds without number, cleaning out the evil and leaving only the good so that they can get on with life. it used to take years to process a world without number, now it only takes months:-) every six months or so, the logarithms and sequencing change to be more efficient than ever! all of us regular folk just go about our daily business and the mathematicians record the new and improved pathways that we intuitively find doing our daily routines. wow, what a brain God gave us!:-) best, anna martina
And God expects us to use our brain:o) Have a nice weekend all!!!!
Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine Friday broadcast this evening as always!
First of all the report by Mara Schiavocampo about the Occupy Wall Street movement which has grown to so many other major cities. The protestors claiming victory over not having a showdown with police lead to a reasonable peaceful demonstrations in the area. Although, some clashes with police occurred and several arrests were made by police it stayed relatively peaceful. The staying power of this movement will be vital in getting their message across the the nation. They are well organized and becoming stronger each day and hoping to be treated seriously with their statements.
The report by Kristen Dahlgren from Seal Beach told of the tragic shooting ramage at the beauty salon and hearing from the District Attorney was heartbreaking. So very heartwrenching to see the faces of those lost and knowing an 8yr old little boy has lost his mother and his father is in jail for the murder of his mother and 7 other people. Thoughts and prayers go out to the little boy and all the families who have lost loved ones.
The report by Mr.Sanders showed how these tough economic times have effected many States. School days being reduced to only 4 day weeks, furloughed police officers, the cutting of the mounted police in one city and the flouride being taken out of the water in one city in Florida. One hopes things get better and more people can get back to work. Time will tell.
The piece by Andrea Mitchell showed how First Lady Michelle Obama looked very glamorous at the State Dinner last evening. She has worn some beautiful gowns at all the different events at the White House. Great Style and Great Taste!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Have a wonderful weekend! Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!
Lisa
Brian, As concerns the Bishop indicted on child porn, I am shocked by Catholic friends
who defend wayward priests by saying they are only human and also excuse
them because they are not married. I don't get it. What's marriage got to do with it.
The First Lady is a knock out in purple . BTW purple is my code in case I forget
my password. I am not high tech. I don't know how I did it but in a computer
error I ended up with a new computer. A true story and have a nice weekend.
Phyllis
phyllis, i am with you, i am VERY low tech. i don't even have a microwave these days since my old one died about a year ago. i may have to get a small one soon just so that i can do instant baked potatoes, that's really the only thing that i miss. my gas stove handles everything else. i am FINALLY not AFRAID of my very basic little gophone. my son got it for me so that i could call from the airport to tell them if my flight was on time . . . . . i did panic the other day because i couldn't get the battery cover back on after taking it off to read the model no. and then i broke it during the process. luckily, the customer service rep asked if the battery was 'bloated' and i realized that, yes, the little 4-yr old battery was, so i ordered a new battery and battery cover, easy fix. but my little hear was racing, yes, strange phenomena, i was having a panic attack over being unable to put humpty dumpty back together, geesh. have a great weekpend. best, anna martina p.s. for some strange reason, when she asked if the battery was bloated, i thought of ted kennedy and chappaquidick. i wonder if he didn't really drown that night because he took a silver bullet to his frontal lobe and that's why he ended up in the water. stranger things HAVE happened! the jerks from the gum nebula (it is huge, earth was buried in the gum nebula like sand in an oyster, i like to think earth is now a pearl and the gum nebula has to go, it no longer serves a purpose) are the silver bullets, that's how we find out who our most valuable players in the game of life are . . . . .
anna martina, I feel as if we are kindred spirits and love your posting. Interesting
about Chappaquidick. I remember that very well. My Uncle who worked for
the goverment was in Washington at the time. Also while I was in Washington
I got the rumor first about Rock Hudson Marilyn Maxwell walked in at an
awkard moment.. Have a nice weekend As ever, Phyllis
On Wednesday, Nightly News unveiled a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. At one point during this story, an on-screen graphic informed us that 51% of Americans "Dissaprove" of the job that Pres. Obama is doing. "Dissaprove"? Is that anything like "Disapprove"? I think that 100% of Americans "Dissaprove" of the Nightly News producers' appallingly sloppy spelling. Three minutes later, a story about Herman Cain displayed an on-screen transcript of some comments Cain made on his radio show last year. The producers attributed the comments to "Hermain" Cain. Who's "Hermain" Cain? Is he Herman Cain's evil twin. Or perhaps he's Cain's evil Twain. Later in the broadcast, during a story about domestic violence laws in Topeka, Kansas, a graphic identified a domestic violence victim named Claudine Dumbrowski as "Rita Smith" from the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Victim, advocate...whatever. On Thursday's story about the "Occupy Wall Street" protests, Rep. John Larson of Connecticut was identified in a graphic as "Jon" Larson. No one cares at Nightly News.
In the past few weeks, Brian Williams has reported several times on the recent decision by Netflix to separate their video-on-demand service from their mail-order business, and to raise the price on the combination of both services. Brian derisively told us about the decision, he told us about the backlash and he told us about the Netflix CEO's decision to reverse the original decision. But here's a story Brian didn't report: This week, Universal Studios (sister company of NBC) discarded a plan to release movies on-demand only three weeks after their release in theaters (the current delay from theaters to video and on-demand is four months). Apparently, Universal reversed their decision under severe pressure from theater owners. So when Netflix caves in to pressure and reverses a decision, Brian reports it, but when Universal caves in to pressure and reverses a decision, Brian ignores it. That makes sense. Netflix is a competitor of Comcast and NBC Universal. Brian is always happy to report stories that portray a competitor in a bad light. But he won't report negative stories about anyone in the Comcast/NBC U family. Because that's just the kind of guy he is.
Also this week, the New York Times reported that the publisher of the European edition of the Wall Street Journal (a paper owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation) has resigned after suspicious practices were uncovered between the Journal and a Dutch company. According to the Times, "Under the deal, the Journal used a third party to channel money to a Dutch consulting firm, which bought thousands of copies of the Journal each day for as little as one euro cent (1.37 American cents). The practice helped bolster the Journal's subscription rate in Europe." The Times also reported that, "...the circulation deal also led to an agreement that provided the Dutch company, Executive Learning Partnership, with two positive articles in exchange for its financial support." So the Journal paid cash and provided positive news coverage in exchange for a circulation increase. That seems pretty shady. Especially in light of the recent Murdoch/News of the World hacking scandal. This past summer, Brian reported frequently about the News Corporation's hacking scandal. For a while, it seemed that Rupert Murdoch was getting more air time on Nightly News than Pres. Obama. So Brian should be all over this new story, right? Wrong. Brian is ignoring this latest Murdoch scandal. The reason is obvious. Nightly News is partnered with the Wall Street Journal. They just released a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. If Brian reported on the Wall Street Journal Europe's circulation scandal, he would risk damaging his own credibility. And he would never do that. It's self-interest--nothing more.
On Friday, ABC's Nightline aired a story about the possible side effects associated with the birth control/premenstrual dysphoric disorder pill called Yaz. One woman in the story claimed that taking the medication put her in a coma and caused her to go blind. According to the NJ.com website, an 18-year-old girl from New Jersey died from blood clots allegedly as a result of taking Yaz. There are currently thousands of lawsuits claiming that the pill's manufacturer did not provide an adequate warning label and that the pill caused injury or death. This seems like an important story. So when will Brian Williams report it? He won't. Yaz is manufactured by Bayer, one of Nightly News's most frequent advertisers and sponsors. Brian does not report negative stories about his regular sponsors. It's one of his Ten Commandments--Thou Shalt Not Report Negative Stories About Sponsors. (Another of his commandments: Thou Shalt Constantly Promote NBC Sports and Entertainment Shows On Nightly News.) You will never, never, ever see this story on Nightly News. Brian will make sure of that.
Most people believe what their told and trust what's said. Chase CEO Jamie Dimon announced the Bank would be hiring Vets. Well here's a personal experience with proof to back it up. A Vet with a BA degree who worked for 5 years in the Military Finance Dept. dealing with billions of dollars for payment to contractors working overseas for the USA. First in South Korea and then Afghanistan with hands on experience. Well as I emailed the VP of Chase Patricia Baker who was very nice and suggest the Vet apply for a job and refer her name. With every Chase Bank posting jobs this Vet applied for every job open online. Well this Vet got a reply letter saying she didn't qualify for any job and not even the part time teller position. I was shocked but wondered why? Well after reports of how Chase is hiring unqualified people in order pass off their fraud and criminal acts to employee mistakes by pass the upper management. We hear the mortgage companies hired teenage kids to robo sign and blamed it on the kids they call Burger King kids. The 60 minute interview with young people who had no idea they were committing a crime by signing names of Bank Vice Presidents and even Presidents of Banks all over the USA. So many fraud documents the court can't keep up. Well at lease I know my daughter was denied because she is to smart in the area of Finance and the President and the American people were told a bold face lie.
Most people really don't care about the unemployed or those protesters until they experience this themselves. With more and more people getting laid off many will soon understand. At lease the Speaker Boehner and leaders kept their promise to Vote No on all job bills. The recent shocker was how the NYPC arrested visitors to NYC and even customers doing regular banking as they were mistaken as Occupy Wall Street Protesters. Times Square always has about 2/3 tourist and now they are afraid they will get arrested by mistake.
have a grear evening all
Great show will air Monday called Rock Center with Jackie Rawlings oops I mean Brian Williams. It comes on at 10 pm on Monday nights. Now I will give a review and yes I'll be fair as the group of my friends and I will be watching.
have a great day all
To all the courageous folks in the occupy Wall Street movement: Thank YOU for standing up for those of us, 'like myself', who have not. Thank YOU for shouting out for those, 'like myself' who remain silent - we too are the 99%
Law-breaking is more the norm than the oddity. The older couple whose end was
together holding hands yesterday, came from a time when speeds were slower and
traffic did not approach at the blink of an eye as we have in these times.
Limits are to set a standard of behavior we can trust to be stable. If a
vehicle is going 10 or 20 over that it is an aberration of a catastrophe that
occurs frequently ending in broken bodies, lives and property. And why we are
allowing our leaders to put us in debt, is because we are on a path of
captivity far from liberty?
