Good Evening Mr.Williams, A great broadcast this evening. Certainly an impressive tented area for the Education Nation Summit this week. Improvements in education is vital and these discussions are needed to help make a brighter future for students.
Now on to the broadcast. First of all the report by Mr.Costello about the Washington Monument and the video of the moment of impact of the earthquake. Seeing the falling rocks inside and the shaking of the structure was scary. Fortunately, nobody was injured during the quake with everyone of the tourists getting out safely. Hopefully, the assessment by the engineers will make sure the structure is structurally sound before opening later next month.
The report by Kelly'O'Donnell about disaster relief and how FEMA is running out of money was disturbing. All the political arguing is at the expense of people suffering with damaged homes or no place to live because their home was totally destroyed. So many disasters this year and FEMA was overwhelmed in terms of money for disaster relief, but the people are is desperate need of help and the politicians truly should stop bickering over budgeting money and go ahead with be able to provide the assistance.
The report by Stephanie Gosk about the women of Saudi Arabia finally being allowed to vote although not until 4 yrs from now is a significant step. Women are extremely restricted in terms of going out of the home, driving and clothes as to being covered. All the revolutions in the Middle East this year could have driven King Abdullah to this decision. Women gaining some freedoms in this region is a remarkable change and hopefully will lead to more good changes.
Dakota Meyer brave soldier saving 36 of his fellow soldiers and Medal of Honor recipient will make a fine FDNY firemen.
The Making A Difference" segement by Anne Thompson about the "Leaf Program" bringing students outdoors and teaching them all about the environment was inspirational. All the students seemed so happy and motivated in learning of the outdoors. Leading to very bright and successful futures.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All! Best of Luck of NBC at the News and Documentary Emmy Awards tonight!

Tonight's Nightly News had a spot regarding Education Nation that featured children reciting the Pledge of Allegence, guess what? You left out "under God" again.
This nation will never have great education without Him!
I agree with you.....Never without God.
Brian when our daughter was about seven I bought a book on exploring
Nature w/Child and we took a walk together through the woods. To make a long
story short. I got a bad case of Poison Oak, even in my eyes and had
to seek medical treatment. I tossed the book, a first for me. Phyllis
Hey remember when you folks were pushing that the top banks have "socialism" so the rest of the country should just accept it too? You'll understand then that no one in their right mind gives a crap if a bunch of little socialist take over the big socialist's playground and what happens to either.

Dave, Today is my birthday (Libra), and so is Bridget Bardot's. Looking good

to see her movie "And God Created Woman" in Louisville. Phyllis
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Phyllis!!!! Hope you have a great one.
Thanks, Dave, I did not celebrate by going out to dinner because of a bad leg,
but I compensated by doing everything I wanted to do while contained in the house,
which reminds me of the line in the Scarlet Letter about Hester "only the house
could contain her. O, Mother Nature is coming through for me with a
biggie in the Virgo Constellation for my birthday. So still a great Birthday.
