Why? Last poll I remember hearing about said 33% of democrats believed the gubmint knew about it and let it happen or "was in on it". Of course that was taken before Bush left office. I chalk that one up to democrats/progressives projectile vomiting their own dark little souls onto everyone else. You know like "those people are violent, they're racist, they hate the poor, they're the party of the rich Wall Street bankers, Crony Capitalist, Propaganda news and on and on and on and on.

I would not believe it unless I heard former president George W. Bush himself say it.

Tony Bennett should remember the past 70 years when all citizens of the United States made him a household name and have followed his career all these years. I am sorry I ever bought a record or wasted a minute listening to his mediocre talent. Of course, how could he have gotten all this publicity without becoming a traitor of the US.

Please leave Tony Bennett alone. He has provided the world with great talent both musically and artistically. If you have more talent then he has, please try to invent something or produce something that will help the U.S. get out of this recession and stop critisizing him. Who knows what Bush said or did not say and frankly who cares. It's too late now.

I always admired Tony Bennett and read his bio that says that he ". .
.served in World War II) which is possible. I was 15 when the war ended and
thoroughly upset because it ended before I had a chance to get in. If Tony
actually "fought in the infantry in the European Theater of
Operations" as another page claims, he was in the army, through basic
training and overseas in a few months. That too, is entirely possible. Our
basic training was actually about four months at that time.

What I consider completely improper and out of line is for some 70 year old
Floridian to declare him a traitor because he faulted George Bush for something
he SAID. People like him should be given the opportunity to SELL their American
citizenship and go somewhere else to live....

For some reason I'm more on Mr. Bennett's side, I just think Bush's folks don't want to put that out there he admitted it, to a celebrity no less.

As I said, I would not believe it unless GWB said so himself, but then I am a

robust Bush-Republican who thinks his handsome face belongs on Mt. Rushmore,

which I suppose makes me gullible. But, hey, you either love him or

hate him. Your choice. It's a free country.

Because my daughter had already bought tickets, I reluctantly went to a Tony Bennett's concert in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I'd never liked his singing voice, plus he is not much for "looks" and to make stupid comments like that only goes to prove my thoughts of him.

9/11 was a bad no matter who caused it,but it was nothing compared to the atrocities that the western world has done in the middle east for the last hundred or so years.

Gullible followers do not care anything about the truth.

In the 60s, when his style of music was fast going out of fashion, via rock-n-roll, he had the balls to openly protest and walk alongside African-Americans during their civil rights struggle, clearly risking offending many of his remaining fans. I admired him then, and I admire him now. As MLK said "The true measure of a man is not where he stands in times of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy."

This makes me realize just how important Sirius/Xm and Howard Stern are to the world of media. It's the only place where you will get the "Real" interview, uncensored and unedited.

Tony Bennett should not have been attacked like that, and the Bush person who said that the former president didn't say that, I say, prove it to me. For everyone else who lost someone in New York on that horrible day, I am sorry for your loss. People need to face reality a little bit more than they have in the past. Our participation in Desert Storm indirectly lead to the events of 9/11. Take it from someone who has served BOTH wars.
