President Obama was in my prayers as I re-read Isaiah, Chapter 49, and
the story of Deborah and Barak, Judges, bc the Palestinian push for
statehood puts the president and U.S. in tight spot. Quoting from the
Louisville Courier Journal: "But I think our fundamental message is going
to be if you support Palestinian aspirations, if you support a Palestinian
state, the way to accomplish that is through negotiations with Israel.:"
Godbless.our nations' leaders as they strive for peace
That said, maybe the two-state solution should not be put on the shelf,
maybe still a viable solution, and if you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem, and maybe the Quartet should intervene
now.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine broadcast this evening as always.
First of all the report by Mr.Lewis from Reno, Nevada on the tragic air show crash. A terrible scene of the plane crashing in the video with all the destruction in the area. So many volunteers coming to help in getting people to the hospital, yet so extremely tragic the loss of lives. Questions being raised as to the safety if these air shows and new recomendations to be made by the NTSB.
Ones thoughts and prayers go out to all those who lost loved ones in this awful accident.
The report by Mr.Bazell about the link between alzheimers and diabetes was interesting. The numbers of people afflicted with alzheimers is staggering and one can undertstand why it is the most feared disease. Considering lifestyle changes in prevention of diabetes can be a first good step. One hopes more treatments to prevent the onset of alzheimers can be discovered.
Very sad the passing of two daughters of fathers in politics. Kara Kennedy and Eleanor Mondale both at the age of only 51yrs old. They both fought hard against cancer and it is truly sad to hear of both passing away.
The piece by Ian Williams about the man bringing jobs back to the United States from China was encouraging. China was the leader of many of these factories, but things have changed and the work done in these factories should be coming back to the United States.
Sad to learn of the passing of Dolores Hope.
And in regards to Mr.Costello's report about the satellite falling towards the earth. One hopes that nothing or nobody gets hit by anything. Especially after it has broken up into 100 different pieces.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!
