A friend just shared something with me that coincides with the latest poll shown here and I think others will enjoy it also.

In 1981, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope. Now, 30 years later, we have Barack Obama, No Cash, and No Hope. Now how is that for progress?

Clever and funny but even Ronald Reagan would have the same problematic

situaton with the Tea Party that President Obama is having, and I blame

the Teabaggers for the mess our country is in, not the president. The

Congress, on the other hand, should be recalled if they don't cooperate

with President Obama. It all started with that moron in the Congress

shouting "You Lie " to President Obama which was a national disgrace.

      #1.1 - Tue Sep 6, 2011 11:06 AM EDT

There is a lot of blame to go around in Washington but one thing that cannot be disputed is that this president is THE most unqualifed man we have ever had in office in my lifetime. Ralph Nader would have been better!!!

        #1.2 - Tue Sep 6, 2011 11:34 AM EDT

His presidency has qualified him in my opinion because President Obama has been

put to the test and passed with flying colors. Sure, I wanna former Pres. George

        W. Bush to have a third term which he did deserve but it wasn't in the cards.

Jimmy Carter was the worst president in modern history, and both my

husband and I agree on it. Sorry I voted for him; my husband will never

let me live it down. A good man, however.

Many feel the same we as Obama is even worse then the War Criminal President who beat Nixon's record and we even have a Vice President who proudly admits crimes that reach the Hitler crimes and we still think Obama is worse. Our House/Congress/Senate are not doing their job as to send jobs bills to the President and we saw the childish games played regarding the ceiling debt but even that can't compare to how man Obama is as President. Americans have suffered three disasters and the law makers cut disaster funding but it's all Obama's fault. Speaker Boehner announced jobs were not on his agenda but it's all Obama's fault. Obama cuts his vacation to take care of the Hurricane disaster while the House/Congress/Senate continue their vacations and do fund raising but it's Obama's fault.

Obama is to blame for just about everything and anyone of the circus clowns running for office can do better. As each are controlled by Corporations/Banks. America might just as well hand over the country to corporate America and just accept the lost of freedom and democracy. We can always look back and blame Obama for it.

            #1.4 - Tue Sep 6, 2011 12:58 PM EDT

The tea party started when Bush and the democrat controlled house and Senate decided to bailout the progressive bankers in New York (the tiny island nation that carried out the worst attack on America in history) Blaming the Tea Party for "this mess" is like Madoff blaming the FBI for him not being able to pay off that months ponzi players.

              #1.5 - Tue Sep 6, 2011 1:55 PM EDT

OBAMA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPEN SINCE 2001. No one else is to blame it's all his fault and the is what people believe. Texas has another wild fire and the Governor cut firefighters funding by 75 per cent and now President Obama is to blame for that. Future and pass problems are all President Obama's fault and that just what is being told.

                #1.6 - Tue Sep 6, 2011 3:46 PM EDT

Dave, As far as I am concerned Rand Paul, the Tea Party's darling, has created

a sexist =racist climate in Kentucky and that strange man should be recalled

as he is not fit to represent us. The election was probably rigged anyway.

AG Jack Conway is the better man.

Brian, Kelly said something to the effect that Congress should be replaced,

and I totally agree with her. I am still supportive of President Obama, however.

What a beautiful dog is Mishka and I am properly impressed that she talks

with such sweet words. Have a nice evening. Phyllis

President Obama hasn't given his job plan but he's already attacked. Congress has no plan until we get a Republican/Tea Party President in office.

Mitt Romney has a plan and his advisers are the same one's that were used from 2001 until 2008.

                  Meet Romney’s economic team

By Conn Carroll Senior Editorial Writer

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney announced his “economic policy team” via twitter today including President Bush Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Gregory Mankiw (2003-2005), President Bush Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Glenn Hubbard (2001 to 2003), and former Rep. Vin Weber, R-Minn.

Great plan as it would put the US back to the same policies that brought the Recession. At lease it gives the Corporations freedom to do as they want and the Wealthy will not have to pay taxes. Voters will love this job plan because as many have said they just don't want Obama in office.

I like Romney's idea of abolishing taxes on dividends and investments. My

husband and I receive GE dividend checks and the extra money would be nice.

lay off over half of congress, their benefits, and travels. instead of laying off our firemen, policemen, and cutting our teachers salary and giveing them 30 -40 students to teach. wake up NBC, these kids will one day run our country they need all the help they can get. give us a raise on social security we haven't had one in over 3 years. how many has congress had, compare our benefits to congress. how do you think we get our medicine, and food and gas. GIVE US A RAISE, LAY OFF HALF OF CONGRESS....

I think the recent poll missed an important question - why is the country headed in the wrong direction? Sure the economy is awful and will be a big part of the 2012 election. For myself though (and I suspect quite a number of others) I am equally concerned about the potential candidates. Much as I want to see the economy recover and jobs come back, I have to say that given a choice between a candidate who might not get the economy moving and a candidate who might bring in fresh ideas but has the social outlook of a Perry or Bachman - I will choose the one who might not get the economy moving without a moment's hesitation. The economy might very well not be the first thing that determines who I vote for.

p.s. Someone should point out to Bachman that the earthquake and hurricane only happened after she and Perry entered the race - it might not be Washington politicians that God is warning about.

President Obama inherited this jobless economy from the Republican, Former President George Bush. President Obama stated in his campaign that it would take two terms to turn the economy around. How quickly the Republican/Tea Party has forgotten that they caused this jobless economy. The Republicans have outsourced jobs over sea until the Republican have outsourced Americans out of jobs. The high Gas prices put the economic into a jobless status. Gas skyrocketed under the watch of the Republicans. Problem solving is getting to the root cause and eliminating the root cause. The Republicans are the root cause of the poor economy, therefore, why reinfect the economy electing a Republican/Tea Party as President. The low poll rating reflect feed back from Republicans and the News Media is misleading the public stating that most Americans have rated President Obama performance low. Please reflect President Obama's rating when he gave stimulus money to a family so they can eat, and have shelter during these hard times. Ask this family to rate the President Obama performance and provide the feedback on the Nightly News.

NBC news has finally gone to the dogs

In delivering the results of the NBC/Wall Street Journel poll, you could hear tell how painful it was for Brian and Chuck Todd to give the results by watching their body language and voice deflection. I thought maybe NBC would get out of the Whitehouse tank after Comcast took control but they just double downed and got worse. Brian cannot bring himself to bring us a story with the slightest negative aspect to the Obama administration.

Missed the SOB comment from Jimmy Hoffa. Never has brought us a story about the Fast and Furious gun runner cover-up. Was very fast on covering the grade transcript that was leaked on Rick Perry even before he announced he was running. Still not even sure Obama went to school as he is not proud of his grades either.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, Nice to see you broadcasting from Los Angeles this evening. Hope you had a good Labor Day Weekend. Truly busy week with so many things happening.

The report by Mr.Gray from Texas showed some awful wildfires and it is so tragic the loss of so lives, so many homes and acres of land. Heartbreaking to hear from people who have no idea what has happened to their home. Information is key to allowing these residents to know the state of their home, but also the firefighters have a terribly tough job trying to keep the flames from spreading. Staggering the number of people in shelters along with other families staying with relatives and friends. One hopes so much the firefighters are able to quell the flames if the weather possibly improves for them to make some progress. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the people effected by the horrible wildfires.

Also, one hopes the wildfires in California can be quelled too. And the winds calm so the firefighters can gain an upperhand on the flames.

The report by Mr.Todd on the poll numbers for President Obama told of how people are thinking of the state of the nation. These are tough times for many Americans and they wish something could be done.

The report by Kristen Welker told of how disappointed people are with Congress and how many have lost faith in Washington to get anything accomplished. Frustrated and fed up with Congress and Washington totally.

Interesting statistic from Kelly O'Donnell on how Americans want every member of Congress to be replaced.

One hopes things improve for the future. Time will tell.

The piece by Anne Thompson about the dog who "talks" and has become an internet sensation was really cute. Mishka is a nice dog and one will never tire of hearing and seeing Mishka. Nice piece to make you happy.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

                                  Be Well Everyone!

                                    quotes:

"Britian was undone as a global power not because of bad politics but because of bad

                                    economics.

The test for the United States is political (yeah, tell me about it Pres. Obama

will say) and it rests not with the United States at large but with Washington in

particular. Can Washinton adjust and adapt to a world in which others have

moved up? Can it respond to shifts in economic requirements and political

                                    power?

This does not mean we are entering an anti-American world The world is

changing but it is going America's way. America's ideas and ideals are

overwhelmingly dominant. The United States has a window of opportunit to

shape and master the changing global landscape, but only if it first recognizes

that the post-American world is a reality--and embraces and celebrates that

fact. The United States is not fundamentally a weak economy or a decadent

society. BUT it has developed a highly dysfunctional politics. " I repeat:

But it has developed a highly dysfunctional poltics." I am sure President Obama

                                    would say Amen to that.

The result is ceaseless, virulent debate about trivia, politics as theater, and very

litle substance, compromise oraction. A can-do country is now saddled with a

do-nothing political process, designed for partian battle rather than problem solving."

Question:  Is the Country headed in the right direction? Majority Say No -- But What Does This Mean?  Ask the Question: Is President taking the County in the RIGHT direction? Answer: YES.

The Wrong Direction Answer is the result of the Tea Party Members of Congress who say they want to cut the deficit. But what they really want is: 1: gut the programs they don't like, and 2: Set the stage for an Obama Loss.

Did anyone notice that that C Todd noted that "Our pollsters are concerned that’s kind of numbers you have when the public starts to give up on a president as a problem solver."

Thought pollsters reported the data and the news presented the results for the viewers to determine the importance.

In this case, NBC is apparently 'concerned' for us....at least those who voted for/support the President and the Adminstration.

Fox News is not perfect, but they at least have the stated goal of "we report, you decide..." Wish I could say the same for the other supposed journalism news channels.

I have been a faithful listener to your nightly news. As a moderator of the MSNBC Republican debate two days ago, I was appalled. Asking Rick Perry about the number of prisoners executed in Texas was out of line. Thought you were a smart, class guy. Did the network put you up to it?
