Brian, another terrific broadcast Tuesday night, but what is this about the

Ohio political leader, blasting GE'S CEO Jeffrey Immelt who has done\ a U-Turn

on outsourcing? I guess the good news didn't make it to that part of the country. Or politics as usual.

Thank you Mr Williams for another fine newcast. Could you please ask Anne Thompson to stop smiling and chuckling during her conversations with you from the scenes of disasters and devastation? It was annoying during last years' oil spill and it's even worse now in the aftermath of Irene. I imagine she is excited to be on the air at her age, but these expressions are beyond inappropriate.

          Thank you.

            Brian,

Obama is President of the United States of America. Bohener is Speaker of the

House. Protocol is respected in the Military and in a large company, like

General Electric. Is it correct to say that Bohener has no respect for the

presidency? I think so! Have a nice evening!

              Phyllis,

I think you may have it backwards. It is Mr. Boheners' house the president should be asking to come into to give a speech to the house and the nation. From what I have read, it was the president telling Mr. Bohener that I am coming into your house and giving a speech on Wdenesday. The disrespect was on the left foot, not the right.

Chuck Todds report was a complete fabrication!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The buck stops with President Obama.but Boehner doesn't give a because

he is too self-centered and does not see the big picture. We will have

to agree to disagree. No changing my mind on this issue.

This petty move by the white house of trying to schedule this nothing sandwich on the same night as the Republican debate (scheduled months ago) is probably the best part of his 'jobs program" Stupid move...........

Dave, with all due respect to you and Brian, I think Boehner was the screwup

not President Obama who bends over backwards to get along with 'em.

Boehner picks fights with the president. And I hope it backfires! Phyllis

With the back an forth of who has the right, seems each former US President never had this problem as the respect and orders of the President were enough. Often we heard all the the Law Makers say if the President ask he gets. Now it's as if a child ordering their parent. Speaker Boehner might want to put King Cantor in his place first as Cantor is calling the orders right now. The news Chuck Todd forgot is finally a real Republican who could give President Obama a good run for the White House has spoken up. Chuck Hagel gave an interview and still one of the best we have in the USA, no wonder President Obama asked for his help. Right now we have the circus clowns and Sarah is only speaking where she can make big bucks.

The so called over rated disaster is proving to be one of the worse as we see. President Obama was right when he told Congress we could need the disaster aid, but they decided to cut it anyway. Virginia Gov. McDonnell who supported it is now against it because Virginia really got both earthquake/hurricane damage. Other Law Makers are sticking to the mission for victims to deal with it on their own or ask the President. With another Hurricane on the way it seems the GOP will give nothing to the victims unless President Obama caves in to their demands.

Dick Cheney is giving so much information about the War Crimes he and his friends committed it gives the United Nations more facts to charge Bush/Cheney with the War Crimes they committed. Some of Colin Powell's employees are willing to testify of the crime ordered by Dick Cheney in his capacity of VP with Executive Powers. Cheney ran every department in the US Government and is proud of it. For all those years the Media had been hood winked by the White House and our soldiers were lied to. As more people speak out on the 8 years of crimes, maybe we can learn from it.

                      have a great evening all

We are to believe the progressives we have in Washington are the smartest people ever to be assembled. Knows all the right things that need to be done to save America but most of the time, their actions says otherwise.

Our Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis, gave up her limosine and bought a Chevy Equinox to show her support for the American auto workers. Only Problem is the Equinox is built by Canadian auto workers. We have NO smart people in Washington, only selfish, partisen, greedy people with their hands out.

meanwhile, down here in sierra vista, i am trying to find out if there is an organization that can help my poverty-poverty level neighbor, she's barely on the first rung of maslow's pyramid, with getting her gas furnace fixed in time for winter this year. cochise county does have a home repair program, i have a call in, i know that years ago, somebody replaced my then neighbor's dead water heater and fixed some nasty leaks in her flooring underneath the trailer. i went a little crazy last year with them not having any heat. it was a cold winter! i lent them my down comforter and gave them some warm clothes and socks and a little portable heater that i had but those little electric heaters are expensive to run! i should have been thinking about my deceased parents' house on that day, which flooded out from ruptured water pipes in the ceiling that we didn't know about until 3 weeks later and all of the drywall, every last bit, had to be trashed. it was a city wide problem, those water pipes in the ceiling, i wish the radio had mentioned something on day 2 or 3! but i think that poor house was full of so many demon spirits that my daddy was collecting on his runs to walmart that it needed to be gutted. the other night i pulled up a junk email that had 'bho' in the address line. i thought maybe 'bhota' and it did come up but what also came up was 'bhopal', india. i pulled up those links and holey-moley, i found the horrible bhopal union carbide poisonous gas disaster in 1984, 17,000 dead by final count. i did buy family-size packs of chicken thighs in safeway for $.88/lb. for chicken tandoori, i skinned them and cleaned off the fat that night and frozen them in 4 thigh packs. i guess everything is back since yesterday and union carbide wanted it's puny settlement money back, but no go. they should have done the work. so, i'm glad that some work is being done while congress spins it's wheels, goofy people. somebody must have bombed the hill in a parallel universe at some point in time and they haven't recovered yet. i hope it's raining in the wheat fields of russia, in kenya, nairobi, somalia and that fourth country. somewhere along the road here, maybe libya, egypt and the rest of the middle east are due for rain, too, not just an anomaly rain, but something starting a regular pattern that they can count on to plant wheat and grains and raise animals on good pasture land. assad has to go before syria gets any rain. the rain is for the people, not for a dictator. this must be the 'road less travelled' road. best, anna martina

Good Evening Mr.Williams, a great broadcast this evening as always. Such devastation caused by Hurricane Irene. It is understandable it is the top ten costliest disasters. One truly hopes that all those still without power receive it soon.

The report by Anne Thompson from Patterson, NJ showed how the rivers have crested, yet will take some time to recede. It was heartbreaking to see people view their neighborhoods completely engulfed by water and to hear many state they do not know what has happened to their home.

The report by Mr.Mott from Vermont showed how neighbors are helping one another in terms of pumping water out of the basement for example. As one man stated the community effort has been amazing. It was encouraging to see supplies delivered to those who so desperately need it. Such huge losses and it is so very tragic.

The report by Mr.Pete Williams showed how our nation is still ten years after 9/11 not prepared for a major catastrophy. Hearing that no rules are in place to know who would be in command and no means of how first responders would talk to eachother is staggering and disturbing. Some things have improved in terms of keeping are nation safe, but there is a long way to go.

The report by Mr.Potter from North Carolina showed how the spirit of the people in the area is truly strong and resilient. Cleaning up and rebuilding businesses and homes is the way to move forward. One hopes the restaurant and other businesses will open by Labor Day.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all the people effected by the storm. May they all be able to rebuild and have a bright future.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

The people in Vermont need to get a grip and quit griping about the lack of power. I'm sure repairs are being made as quickly as possible. Parts of Harris County, Texas were without power for 3 weeks after Hurricane Ike. While there was some griping, and it wasn't pleasant,... most of us just got on with life.

I have been thru many a hurricane including 4 or more major ones. In all the major ones we were without power a minimum of 2 weeks or more. Crews from other states came to help as they always do for each other. All worked beyond their call of duty and also fed some of me and my friends, as we were in dire need of a good meal. I was much younger on that one, but these linemen and woman are the best of the best in their profession. All power companies are strictly disciplined, courteous, as well as highly trained professionals that know what to do, and when to do it. They cannot jeapordize themselves or others just because some people are more important than others. Remember, the severely ill,[hospitals, etc.], are usually priority.

Shame on you,3-days without power is nothing.

One week without power!! I wish after hurricane Rita(which was just about ignored on nightly news) we had power restored after one week!! The official from Conn. who said that 3 days was too long for crews to reach there sounded like an idiot. Does he know how long it takes to drive from Denver to Conn.? Three days!!! I know people who were here in the SW Louisiana area after Rita who were without power for 6 WEEKS!!! And having to protect the electricians from the public!! They should be ashamed!! The workers who came here from all over the country were given food and drinks from our residents out of gratefulness!!!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A great Thursday Sept.1st broadcast as always. One really hopes all the people in States still without power have it restored quickly.

The report by Anne Thompson from Connecticut. showed how power crews are coming from all different States to help in restoring power for the residents. Staggering the numbers of people still with out power in New York, New Jersey and Vermont. Seeing the one family using their deck as living quarters proves how many are making the best of it for the long duration until power is finally turned on in the area.

The report by Janet Shamlian from Oklahoma City revealed the massive wildfires spreading all over the region and how tough a fight for firefighters battling mother nature with drought, high temperatures and winds. Heartwrenching to see the family home destroyed with all the precious memories. Simply tragic. One truly hopes the weather improves to help the firefighters quell the flames.

The report by Mr.Bazell about first responders from 9/11 and the so many are diagnosed with types of cancer is awful. So many first responders effected by the horrible fumes from the wreckage at Ground Zero. The work being done for early detection and cancer screening hopefully will help those diagnosed. It is so very tragic.

The "Making A Difference" report by Kate Snow about the factory in Providence, RI that makes plumpy nut to send to children in the Horn of Africa suffering from malnutrition showed how one company is truly helping save lives of so many children. Seeing the malnourished children in the hospitals is hearbreaking, but seeing the one child still weak, but improving due to eating the peanut paste product is encouraging. One hopes all the children receive help in order to get healthier. Saving one child at a time.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

                                      Be Well Everyone!

Happy Birthday Stephanie! Enjoy a great birthday!

Seeing how McCain brought Palin onto the stage, she could be from the House of Prog Central Casting. read about the classical music composed by charles ives, an 'american maverick'. interesting, he has a composition named 'concord' with 4 movements, one each for emerson, hawthorne, alcott (father of louisa may alcott) and thoreau. the transcendentalists. maybe that's what we all have to do to get the crap in nyc and dc to behave. then, they would have no vortex to power off of . . . . methinks. concord, lexington were the ride of paul revere and the first battle of the american revolution. he has another one called 'the unanswered question', which is, of course, why the hell are we here?! there is a very interesting background, unchanging 'silence' by the druids through all of the cacophony of the question being asked over and over and over again. perhaps we are here so that nature can be. not the other way around. and it is only through nature that man can then be. no wonder we're in such a world of hurt, of course, texas is finding that out the hard way, no rain, no nature, no man. maybe the old growth forests of the east coast are coming back in a higher realm in those ghost suburbs that died because of the mortgage lending debaucle. that would be awesome:-) if so, they may be very close to us and those that can do what the native americans call 'walking between the worlds' may find a door that they can go through to visit and come back out of when they are ready after their spiritual regeneration. a little transcendental, perhaps:-) best, anna martina

Two slaps upside the head of the NBC Nightly News on Friday for 1) ignoring Obama's taking-out-the-trash Labor Day weekend announcement that he was backing off stricter EPA ozone pollution standards, because the only criticism Obama's move would lead to would come from lefty environmentalists, and, hey, who cares what they think? Not Ben in Boise or Harriet in Omaha. And 2) very briefly reporting the feds' suit against banks who knowingly sold worthless mortgage-backed securities without mentioning that GE, owner of GE Capital and major stakeholder in NBC/Universal, is one of the defendants. How do you people sleep at night? You're not journalists.

Two things destroyed America. Subprime and not defending the country from terrorism. Both occured during Clintons term. The new book: August 7th 1998 A Day in Infamy, clearly shows that Clinton is responsible for most of America's problems. Go to 1998usa.com Every voter in America should read this book. Click on the home page. It is a good read. Clinton was busy doing other things at this critical point in US history.

making chorizo for portland trip, we're going to the coast the day after i get in:-) never been to the oregon coast. got my yard weedwhacked from that knee-high grass and overgrown bushes and pruned dead branches on oleander from freeze, finally. still raining in sierra vista every other day or so. boy, t.s. lee sure did make a point of not even getting a teeny tiny bit of texas wet . . . . he pruned top branch of peach tree that broke back when i was thinking about buying a ring on sundance site called 'ophelia', garnet. weird. one theory was that ophelia (shakespeare's 'hamlet') died because the tree branch that she was sitting on broke and she fell into the deep water and drowned . . . . . poor ophelia was probably as crazy as i was from january 1990 to mid 1995. that was awful. hoping for better energy for my vacation. have to dye my very grey hair so that my son doesn't have a cow! best, anna martina
