The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents – #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic. _Barack mmmm mmmm mmm Obama in 2008

That's just priceless bahhaahhahaha

today is the anniversary of the day that catherine de medici and her son, the king of france had protestants killed for being protestants, i think alot of them were huguenots, tennessee williams was huguenot line, i found that out the other night reading his biography on wikipedia. it was called the st. bartholomew's day massacre. that reminder was on the ua's classical music station very early this morning, that religious wars have been going on for forever, not just today.

Thanks to Chris Jansing for the moving story on Pat Summit. Having dealt with and continuing to deal with dementia in my family, it needs to be out in the public eye so we can head off our own condition. If I wrote a dictionary, Pat's picture would be on the page for leadership.

You should close Friday's newscast with the photo/story from NPR that shows a dog protecting his Navy SEAL at the SEA:'s funeral. It leaves one so thankful for our soldiers and very sad for their family's loss.

on a very bad manic run through texas, i ended up in a small community on a backroad, at a funderal. everyone had already left, there were two gentlemen filling the grave. i said a few words and went back to the car and gave them a very large fire agate mineral that i had traded a woman in superior, az. for, the apache reservation is right around the corner there. i had found the vietnam memorial one night, lots of apache names on it. anyway, when i was leaving the small community on that backroad, a woman came out of one of the houses with two dobermans. she sicced the dobies on me. when they were about 3 yards away, they stopped running and came up wagging their tails. i rolled down my window and they licked my hand and my arm. then, she waved and when i left, she asked what unit i was with. he was a navy seal. i am part apache. truth is stranger than fiction. best, anna martina

Good Evening Mr.Holt, A fine broadcast this evening as always. Nice to see you filling in for Mr.Williams.

One hopes eveyone stays safe and sound on the Eastcoast as Hurricane Irene approaches the Eastcoast.

First of all the report by Mr.Sanders from Cedar Island, North Carolina told of how people are preparing for Hurrricane Irene by evacuating the areas possibly affected by the strom this weekend. People buying wood the put up against windows and others cutting short their vacations due to the oncoming storm. The farmers are racing to protect theor crops since there most likely will be damage after the storm. One hopes everyone keeps safe and sound. And the damage minimal to the land.

The report by Mr.Roker from Nags Head,NC told of the projected path of Hurricane Irenewhich could reach category 4 status before making landfall. Appears the whole Eastcoast will feel the effects of the storm from North Carolina to New England. Certainly will bring much rain and wind to the areas.

The report by Richard from Tripoli told of how the rebels continue to celebrate with much gunfire in the air and towards eachother since they took over Qadhafi's compound and much of Tripoli. As Richard stated they have set up checkpoints, but are still fighting Qadhafi loyalists. With no central command there is much chaos in the city of Tripoli. Seeing the rebels firing guns sporadically in the air and around children was disturbing and scary. There is much to be achieved, yet there must be some organization before any sort or transition can be made. No leadership has emerged so far.

The report by Stephanie Gosk about the journalists being held at the Rixos Hotel and then finally released today certainly sounded frightening. It was interesting to hear from John Ray who escaped from the hotel with his crew through a fire door. And disturbing to hear from other journalists who told of what the loyalists thought and did while they held the journalists. Good to know all the journalists are safe and sound.

The piece by Chris Jansing aboout Pat Summit was truly touching and told of a remarkable woman who is not going to give up even though she has been diagnosed with dementia. A wonderful woman.

Congratulations to Ann Curry on being named one of Forbes Most Powerful Women!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Holt. Peace to You and to All!

              Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Remarkable and Excellent Reporting from Tripoli!

Take Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Brian: To top the news off, there has been a mild earthquake in Central California, plus the number two in Al-Quada has been killed in Pakistan. This has been one hell of a newsweek, thus far. Here in South Central PA., the weather is cloudy and breezy. I went to the store to purchase some flash lights, but none were to be found, until I located one in another hardware store. The local grocery store was packed with dozens of panicky people:however I am more concerned about what is to come, bur not panicky. I rode out a tropical storm in Florida, but the weather here, pales in comparison to the remnants of tropical storm George. I'll be awaiting your latest blog when this event passes over. Stay safe and have a great weekend. I'll catch you on Monday night's broadcast.
