slow news day. you missed the news on Obama granting illegal imigrants amnesty today. Who needs congress??????????????

you need to do a little digging into the question the farmer in Illinois ask Obama at the town hall. Obama just sort of lied a little bit. he is not instituting any regulations but the lady at the EPA is planning to shut down the farm industry with a new dust standard. Do you think you could to investigate that or does Obama make that off limits to you???????????

Great purple SEIU tie!!!!!!!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this evening as always.

Always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast!

Another down day on the stock market and seeing the long lines forming at a job fair it shows how many people are looking for work in this tough jobs market and economy.

The report by Lisa Myers told of how one company Siemans does have 3400 jobs available, yet not enough skilled people to fill them. The math and mechanical skills required seem to be in short supply with few being able to pass the tests in order to be trained. Making it difficult for the company to expand if there are not enough people to fill the new positions. Hopefully, there will be more applicants and the jobs will be filled. Truly a difficult predicament for the company.

The report by Mr.Miklaszweski told ineresting developments on Libya with Qadhafi possibly planning to flee the country with his family. His days in power being numbered which could lead to him going into exile in Tunisia. Yet, there is no guarantee of him fleeing if it were to happen this could end the standoff with NATO.

Richard's report from Zintan, Libya told of signs of movement by the rebel forces in surrounding the capital of Tripoli and cutting off power along with fuel supplies. As Richard stated many people are fleeing Tripoi in anticipation of the city being cutoff. One hopes peace comes to the region. Time will tell.

The report by Andrea Mitchell told of President Obama's call for president Assad of Syria to step down. So many lives lost in the relentess violence against the protestors by the government forces. Yet, Assad will not go easily the threat of him using chemical weapons is frightening. It is encouraging that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia could be an ally in pressuring Assad to step down. One hopes the violence ceases.

The report by Mr.Tibbles of the rescue of the three yr old named Maggie Mullen was heartwrenching and moving. Seeing and hearing all the people coming together to rescue her frm the collapsed stage was frightening, yet they were all incredible in helping her out from under the wreckage and getting her to the hospital. Those six people are all heroes and it was touching hearing from her mother on how amazing all those people. It is wonderful she is okay and healing along with her mother. And nice to know Maggie has a couple of new tutus!

Incredible to learn how much money was recovered and returned in the areas of Japan hit by the earthquake and tsunami.

Happy 75th Birthday to Robert Redford! Nice photos shown on Life.com.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Willams. Peace to You and to All!

    Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Excellent reporting as always!

Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

    Lisa

Looking good today Mr. Will i ams as even the shirt and tie combo worked sweet.

Now with so much really bad news it's good you got to show some up lifting stories. SEC under Mr. Cox got exposed for destroying information to cover up crimes over the 8 years and even Bernie Madoff's information. Issa has a Lobbyist who worked for Goldman Sachs to make sure things went in Goldman's favor. Rupert Murdoch's son got caught lying and Dad/Son might have go step down and who knows maybe Wendi can save the company as she did save her husband from that attack. California Attorney General is kicking butt and saving the homeowners from the 8 years corrption. The New York Attorney General is doing the same for the homeowners in New York.

the candidates running for President are a dream for comedy writters as their speeches are insane. Republicans are hoping a real candidate will enter the race and even former Governor Mark Sanford is thinking about running for President. Before you say what? Remember Gov. Sanford got a pretty good grade from citizens of his State when he left office. It would be a first for the US to have a foreign First Lady who is the President's girlfriend but we have Rep. Issa who has a criminal file a mile long with no problems. Gov. Perry is threatening the Federal Chief and people laugh and so nut might think this is real. I just have to forget what ever Michele Bachmann says it's beyond believable. It seems the RNC isn't getting enough donations so now the law makers are charging for town hall meetings. Next they might charge you to vote.

I had a great day in New York City yesterday and got to go to the Harry Potter show I love New York and the people are great.

      have a good evening all

hola, brian, that is wonderful that the united arab emirates gave each of the joplin high school kids their own laptop. and i'm glad that the kids will have some sense of normalcy during their day. i'm sure it will relieve alot of parental stress as well now that the kids have something to do during the better part of the day. kudos to the school district for accomplishing that tremendous project! i'm sure the level of learning is going to be different this year, rekindled. especially with those new laptops! and the re-energized attitudes of the teachers. best, anna martina p.s. just pulled the peach melba bread pudding out of the oven. wow, does that almond extract add a sweet touch, if i was in joplin, i would share with the school district office!

happy birthday to robert redford! yes, i remember that chick flick, 'the way we were' and 'out of africa'. i get the 'sundance' catalog and he writes a note in there. i wish i could have gone to go see dexter filkins' book talk at the sundance resort a while back. i might have splurged, but it was in the morning and i don't wake up until the afternoon since i don't get to bed until 5-6:00 a.m. rats. pulled up charlie rose's august 10 interview with dexter and a pakistani official talking about our end game in afghanistan, alot depends on pakistan. japan just made them a loan for a polio vaccine program for the goal of ending polio by 2012. if pakistan does not do their part, the polio could spread again into the countries like india who have worked so hard to eradicate that terrible afflication. if pakistan meets certain criteria of the program, the bill and melinda gates foundation will pay off the loan for them. benatir bhutto was assasinated the morning that i sat on a plane at the salt lake airport on my way back to tucson from portland. i think sundance sponsored the movie of her life. dexter said in the interview that nobody knows where pakistan's 120 nukes are. i didn't know they had that many! the world can't afford to have pakistan go to a failed state. best, anna martina

HuffPost reports that NBC reports that it may be Goodbye Gaddhafi. I sure hope so, and TGIF I will

tune in to Nightly News this evening for details. And the devil (Gadhafi) is in the details.

               Mr. Williams,

Quick note of appreciation ( starting to sound like an interview thank-you note) for your honest masterful news reporting. Your basic down to earth not full of himself persona is so refreshing and welcomed. I was fortunate enough to work at NBCU Security and got to see up close it's most valuable assets : It's family....    Side note: You indirectly gave an autographed picture to my friend who works for PAL ( Police Athletic League) which she cherishes...    be well
