Saw you comments last Friday about the Missouri woman that hired an aircraft to fly the sign over New York calling for them all to be fired. Shame on you for telling us she was upset with Standard & Poor's degrading of the credit rating. We already knew, and you did too, that she hired the plane to fly over Washington because she was upset with Congress, but wasn't allowed due to flight restrictions. New York was the second choice, but the target was the same, Congress.
Why you chose to offer mis-information is beyond me, since NBC had already reported the true facts earlier.
THANKS BRIAN AS MANY ARE SAYING IT !!!
The Kirkwood, Missouri, securities executive and single mother rented a plane to fly over Wall Street towing a banner that read, “Thanks for the downgrade. You should all be fired.”
“It feels pretty good just because a lot of times I think those things, but I don’t do it, and this time I actually did it,” Nobbe said.
Her daughter is glad her mother took a stand, according to the TV station.
“She’s very different from other moms, and I’m really proud of her because she does stand up for what she really wants,” Holly Nobbe, 11, told KSDK. “I’m really glad to have a mom like that.”
Ms. Nobbe can afford to speak out for the millions of us who say the same think and this news went National. Many want to support the destruction of the USA but let's hope Americans stand together. I don't think Congress is interested in much as their on the long vacation while millions of unemployed suffer. Not many News Stations report fair/balance news these days as it seem yet again Brian you stand alone. The USA and all Americans will be effected by the downgrade rate but a few Americans would rather that be a secret like the WMD's and Mushroom Cloud stories.
Someone should tell Bachmann that today is the anniversary of Elvis' death...not a celebration for his birthday. She wouldn't have gotten my vote anyway....but now she just sealed the deal. Don't these politicians think before they speak. When I heard that on your nightly news program I couldn't believe it. She is not a true Elvis fan like she says or she wouldn't have made that mistake.
You put up yesterday's Wall Street numbers. The Dow was down 77 today.
Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast this evening as always.
Campaigning on the MidWest has certainly kicked off to a wild start. So many things said by the candidates and sometimes they need to be careful or retract what they say to voters or to the media. Such a long way to go.
The report by Andrea Mitchell told of candidate Texas Governor Rick Perry making remarks about the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke which some are stating crossed the line and is not presidential. All the candidates truly have to be careful how they answer questions and make certain comments since that can influence voters at the polls on election day.
The report by Mr.Todd showed President Obama also touring the MidWest and speaking to voters. Many expressing displeasure at how President Obama is handling certain issues. People are frustrated and impatient with the current progress. Wanting things to get done more quickly. President Obama always trying to reassure people things will get better. It is a tough time for everyone and hopefully things will take a turn for the better.
The report by Ann Curry from Mogadishu showed how dangerous this place and the high stakes in keeping the peace within the region. As stated in the report the most dangerous place in the world. Seeing Ann Curry travelling with the peacekeepers in the vehicle it showed all the fighting has left the surroundings in ruins. Frightening to see all the weapons found in the building once held by the militant group. So tragic to see all the children suffering in desperate need of food which has been difficult for the aid agencies to deliver due to the militant groups controlling the areas. One can agree with the statement by the aid worker, "Where is the Humanity"? One hopes the aid agencies can get help to the people in desperate need.
The piece by Mr.Cowan about the San Diego police officer was so sad and tragic. Yet. so moving and touching. The police officer who was an Iraq and Afganistan war veteran now back at home at his job as a police officer helping the little boy at McDonald's only to lose his life right after leaving the restaurant was heartwrenching. His conversation with the little boy certainly did make an impact and the act of kindness towards to the little boy was heartwarming. So sad and tragic. Ones thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!
Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

It's really amazing when you think about the fact that not many people who lose a loved one would have that person on tape less than hour before their death and the San Diego policeman’s family have him on tape (via the security camera at McDonalds) and he’s doing a good deed.
One thing I noticed in the NYTimes is that they just printed Charles Murray’s obit about an hour ago, yet you wrote about him in the blog on Friday, one would think that the NYTimes would’ve been one of the first to mention his passing, yet you mentioned it four days ago, how did they miss that one, especially since he’s a Medal of Honor Recipient.
i was reading about libya and their one and only king, line of muhammad. all 5 of his children from his wives died in infancy, how terrible, so he was going to pass on the kingship to a nephew when ghadaffi took over, he died in egypt in 1983. i was wondering why that king was buried in medina. line of fatima. the article said that some of the current rebels are flying his flag and carrying his picture.
so many of those poor children in mogadishu are so terribly frail! how long does it take a child to come back from that? the responsible parties deserve to burn in hell, yowza. the irish famine was also a famine that shouldn't have happened, there was other food but it was kept from them, another wikipedia article. i hope that the children and the elderly respond quickly, that the cholera can be contained and that the feeding camps can continue to do the work undisturbed. alot of big hopes. i imagine that life is a blur for the elderly, who have a better idea of what is happening to them than the poor children, who are clueless. extreme distress. the will to life is powerful, i hope it wins out. best, anna martina
eastern libya used to be the ancient breadbasket of the middle east. i imagine that life, there, would be different if that was still the case.
I know that the government wants to cut money where they can and every time it is Social Security and Medicare that comes up. I guess with our country in the financal bind that it is in giving themselves a raise in Washington to me is out of the question. Those who vote to give themselves a raise should not be voted back into office. My suggestion is pay back what has been borrowed out of Social Security and maybe everyone in Washington should take a pay cut and cut benefits for everyone to get the feeling of what the American people are going throught during these hard times.
