Shame the people in the UK have had their freedom to protect themselves taken away.

The US Press now attaches President Obama to the riots in the UK, it seems Obama is blame for everything even things around the World.

S&P member who made the downgrade decision had no knowledge of economics. Speaker Boehner spoke to soon about getting 98 per cent of what he and his Tea Party wanted, now he was to back away and blame it all on President Obama. S&P is so untrusted they will be out of business soon. It's like picking a rating like you play bingo.

Prophet Gov. Perry had 30,000 people attend his pray meeting but over 100,000 people waited in line to get school supplies about 6 miles from the Perry event. So much for support. It seems people are beginning to read the S&P report that clearly blames the GOP for the mess.

Maria married a man who has never changed and never will. With the help of the Media/Press all of Arnie's bad habits were brushed under the rug to focus only his his acting. Maria is hurt the information became public but after 25 years she still loves her husband. We see men and women who's spouses cheat on them or have out of wedlock children but nothing can explain love.

After learning how Rep. Mark Foley selected pages for years to assult, this might be the best thing to end the program as we know their are more officials who do the same as Foley. For a Law Maker to do such horror for so many years and get protection from fellow Law Makers it's clear Foley wasn't alone, he just got caught.

Huntsman announced he's running on his famous Father's merits to get support from the Republican Party. Smart move as Mitt Romney used his Father to get Michigan votes.

see you same time same place

100,000 people standing in line for school supplies? One of those Texas sized Super Wal-Marts having a no sales tax day?

        Jackie,

Sometimes your posts make me chuckle. This post was one of them. Had to laugh to myself with your comment about the one S&P member having no experience in economics. My first thought was, you really did not go there. I think this man worked some in private industry. I would be willing to bet he had as much and probably more experience than the leader of our country President Barack Obama.

          JustBfair keep the winnings

Mr Chambers, the chairman of S&P’s sovereign ratings committee, has come under scrutiny himself since the downgrade.

Political observers have noted that he never studied economics and that he majored in literature and philosophy and has a master's in English literature.

          here's another headlines internationally

S&P John Chambers, rating agency chief who downgraded U.S, has a master's in English Lit and no economic experience

I know you like to laugh as serious matters and would like others to have their head in the sand, but a friend in up State New York who lost 80,000 dollars brought this to my attention. I know many who don't invest wouldn't need or look for this type of information. As for comparing the President to Mr. Chambers well that's stupid as Obama is a Constitutional Professor/lawyer while Chambers majored in English Lit. But if you think English Lit makes you educated in Economics then your on your own with that one.

Jackie, Your friend only lost 80,000 dollars if he paniced and sold. His holdings may have declined by that amount as has mine but I have not lost a dime as I have not sold anything. Fact is, I have been buying.

So your man Being schooled in english lit is not the same as being schooled in economics but Exactly how does having a degree in constitutional law, of which Mr. Obama would rewrite as he does not think it is fair, prepare him for the task of president. Mark Levin is a constitutional lawyer but I would not want him for president. Michelle Baughman is a constitutional lawyer but I do not want her for president.

Maybe Mr. Chambers had a minor in economics. We have no ida what Obama may have minored in as he has his transcripts and all his college work under lock and key. Must be ashamed of them.

Jackie, I understand you are a died in the wool progressive but that does not make all other people with other thoughts idiots.

Brian, Couple comments on your newscast tonight. Read a story on the internet about a comment one of the London rioters made. It was so interesting I thought for sure you would cover it. Comment was " We just want to show the police and the rich we can do what we want". Sound like something that could be stoked here due to the class war the left plays with demonizing the rich.

It is truely a loss of national treasures we have lost with all the American soldiers lost in that god forsaken hole called Afganistan. We need to packup every last one of our people NOW and send them back home. It does not matter how long we stay or how mant taliban we kill, as soon as we leave, be it now or in 2 years, it it will revert to Taliban rule. When we leave, Karzi will be on the first plane as he will have enough money stolen and stashed away by them.

Where have all the war protesters gone. Have not seen them for almost three years. It sure appears it was a protest against Bush instead of the wars.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast this evening. Truly another wild day on the stock market today with stocks going up and down sharply during the day. One hopes things become more stable, yet it will take some time to recover.

First of all the report about the day on Wall Street told of how the stocks rallied up and down fast all day and after the Federal Reserve met and told of no change to the interest rates the stocks fell. Yet, it was better to have them end positively around 430pts. It will take some time to restore all the damage done, but hopefully things will get better. Time will tell.

The report by Michelle Kosinski from London showed how the terrible riots have caused so much destruction to the city of London and the businesses. Frightening to see how the violence has spread to so many other cities in Britain. It is understandable that 16,000 police have been called to the streets of London to keep the city safe and calm.

The report by Mr.Flether told of how people in the country are angry and feel hopeless at this situation. An awful last few days for the people in London and other cities. One hopes things become calmer.

The report by Mr.Costello on the fallen soldiers from Afghanistan being returned to Dover Air Force Base told of how hearbreaking it was for all the families. Somber and hearbreaking. So Very Tragic to lose so many Brave US Soldiers.

Hearing from General McCaffrey told of how these soldiers were of the elite fighting force of the US. Interesting analysis by General McCaffrey about the chinook helicopter and the operation of this helicopter. Such a frightening region in battling the talban in tough surroundings. One wonders if tactics will be re-evaluated. One always hopes for peace.

The piece by Anne Thompson about dogs being used in the courtroom showed how these dogs bring comfort and calm to those who are victims and must testify in court. Such nice dogs and are truly doing a wonderful thing. Nice piece.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

                Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard.

Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

London is burning. The stock market is on a terrifying roller coaster ride. The Middle East is boiling and ready to explode. People are starving in Africa. So what does Nightly News choose to spend two-and-a-half minutes on during its Tuesday broadcast? Service dogs that help witnesses testify in court. Is that time well spent? Is that a story that really deserves to be on a network newscast? Of course not. Just like Sunday's story about people that bring fresh fruits and vegetables to Chicago's inner-city neighborhoods. And Monday's story about the Boys & Girls Clubs who donate toys to kids who have a parent in the military (actually, Nightly News has done variations of this same story over and over and over). Not one of these stories contained even the smallest shred of news. Yet night after night, Brian Williams and his producers waste our time with these ridiculous stories whose only purpose is to pander to the viewers. Brian and his producers air these wishy-washy goody-goody human interest stories because the NBC News Research Department tells them it's what the viewers want to see. That way, they get higher ratings than if they aired actual news. After all, who wants to see a half-hour of news on a news broadcast? That is the very definition of pandering--padding the broadcast with pointless non-news stories just because they will attract a large audience. News is not supposed to be about what the viewers want to see. It should be about important events that are happening in our world. Sorry, but courtroom service dogs are not an important event. Not even close. I thought the broadcast was called "NBC Nightly News". The FCC should revoke NBC's right to air a news broadcast. Shameful.

Beginning on Saturday, Nightly News reported the story about the 30 U.S. military servicemembers who were shot down by an RPG in Afghanistan. On Saturday and Sunday, the deceased were listed as "22 U.S Navy Seals", "5 U.S Army Aircrew" and "3 U.S Airmen". Both days, the Nightly News producers omitted the period after the "S" in U.S. And no one even noticed the mistake for more than 24 hours. It wasn't until Monday that they finally corrected this error. Does it really matter that the producers left out one tiny period? Absolutely. It is yet another example of their lack of attention to detail and their inability to get the simplest things right. On Tuesday's broadcast, a video clip of Texas Governor Rick Perry carried the captions "Yesterday" and "Gilbert, Arizona". Wrong on both counts. The video was actually from Gov. Perry's prayer rally that took place in Houston on Saturday. The producers were off by two days and around 1,000 miles. But they don't care. No one cares at Nightly News. These appalling mistakes don't happen on ABC World News or the CBS Evening News. Only on Nightly News. Shameful.

Starting precisely on June 30 (and running through July 23), Nightly News brought us Will & Kate stories on 11 different days (totalling more than 24 minutes). June 30 also happened to be the first day of the July ratings sweeps period (which ran through July 27). Are we supposed to believe this was a coincidence? Of course it wasn't. Brian and his producers made sure to pad their broadcast with plenty of Will & Kate stories during the sweeps period because that's what the viewers want to see. And if the viewers keep tuning in, that means higher ratings and more ad dollars. Shameful.

On Monday's broadcast, Brian read an obituary for Fred Imus, Don Imus's brother. But Brian never mentioned the death of former New York Governor Hugh Carey, who is widely credited with saving New York City from financial default. As far as Brian is concerned, Fred Imus was much more important than Hugh Carey. Because on Nightly News, entertainment always trumps politics. I guess that's why Nightly News aired stories about Lucille Ball on three consecutive days. Shameful.

I have to say that I was also surprised that there was no mention of Hugh Carey's passing but that the brother of a controversial radio personality was mentioned.

it looks like london found a gravaton generator manufacturing plant and they are all set for the united kingdom's energy needs. and a little birdie told me that as long as zarkozy(sp?) is in office, france will not find any gravaton generators.
