What a day for news. The smartest Republican had a plan B and it seems with all the talking she did and even her website many didn't know Mrs. Warren is a life long Republican. Some Americans only watch Fox News and it took Ron Paul to give a little Warren history

A Republican who grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, Warren also fought against adoption of the 2005 bankruptcy reform bill, which I dubbed the No Lender Left Behind Act because it essentially absolved credit card companies of responsibility for predatory practices.

Who says all the smart Republicans are gone and now Mrs. Warren is the worse nightmare for the RNC and the nude model Senator Scott Brown. If Mrs. Warren runs for the Senate will the voters again pick a nude model who did nothing while in office but collect money or will the voters pick the best of both Dem/Rep has to offer Mrs. Elizabeth Warren clearly a fighting for the people.

Rubert Murdoch has to fine a way to trick the people and his investors. Murdoch is safe from prosecution in the US as he's already got law makers and Judges in his back pocket. Eric Holder might be spinning his wheels as if he gets this case to court the 5 US Supreme Court Justices will protect Murdoch by any means necessary. Now few Americans are interested in Murdoch hacking law makers or the 9/11 victims as Wealth Rules in the USA and their above the Law. While things might go so well in the UK as it seems the interest in protecting the people is important. Will the old stand by oops sorry work for the old man or will the UK call a crime a crime. Fox News is so messed up their reporting how Obama handled the 9/11 attack and next they might report it was Rubert Murdoch who hacked the UK it was really Obama.

So far we have three Republican/Tea Party candidates who say God told them to be President and it worked for George W. Bush it could work again. Gov. Perry is even calling himself a Prophet. Will the voters get hood winked again who knows.

Senator Rand Paul is really been effected by those bong hits as he was asked what he would as Britney Spears who will be in DC two days before the default deadline. Senator Rand Paul said he would ask Britney Spears her advice on how to settle the ceiling debt problem. That about says it all and I feel bad for the voters of Kentucky.

The RNC wants to impeach President Obama for allowing a campaign ad filmed at the White House. Now this is when you know the GOP chaos is full force as we have seen two other Presidents have campaign ads from the White House with oops no word or mention of impeachment. President Clinton and President Bush both had ads done from the White House with no problem and no complaints. But it seems President Obama isn't allowed. Next the RNC will want to impeach President Obama for breathing air and exhaling, you never know with these folks.

I didn't follow the Casey Anthony case but I read the transcript and the prosecutor clearly couldn't prove his case even before the trial started. He should has just stayed with what he could prove and he would have won. Now with evidence in question she might have the lying under oath charge dropped.

see you new time new place as I'm now in Florida for a few days after a road trip. The people I met in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia are so great and friendly. It's nice to see the real America and the people.

Looks like we are about to get a new deal out of Washington. Hooray! Hooray!!!! Do not know the details yet but the American people can be assured that it will entail us paying more in taxes, the politicians spending more but telling us they are really saving. Politicians are the only group of people I have ever seen who say they reduced spending because they only spent a million dollars when they really wanted to spend two million. It's like when my wife comes home from shopping. First thing said is "I really saved you a lot of money today" as she hands me a bill for couple hundred dollars. They were having sales. If I paid retail, it would have been a hundred dollars more when if none of it had not been bought, it would have cost me nothing.

Washington has turned into a cancer. It keeps growing and growing. It needs to be cut out, discarded, and replenished by picking names from phonebooks. This group there now is far from the brightest and smartest they claim to be. It doesn't take a smart person to spend other peoples money, just arrogent people and we have filled the whitehouse now back to back.

Brian, you cannot hide the joy in your voice while reporting on the News Corp story. If you can drag this story to the shores of the USA, you have the possibility of having Fox shut down and then MSM will be free to promote the liberal ajenda with no resistance.

We're very lucky in America that our watchdog media isn't a bunch of inbred one party loyalist "too close" to our government. baahaahaha

Greece is in the fix they are in is because they did not raise taxes.

          #2.2 - Wed Jul 20, 2011 4:14 PM EDT

Greece is in the fix they're in because all the union protected state employees wanted to retire at 53. Sweet work if you can get it I guess. So history seems to be repeating itself. Which countries in Europe do you think will go National Socialist (Nazi Germany) and which ones will go International Socialist (Russia) and whose going to go after the Jews first? Kind makes you wanna tune out, turn on the retro TV channel and wait for the knock on the door bahahaha

            #2.3 - Wed Jul 20, 2011 5:24 PM EDT

Phyllis, At what point do we have to get to before you would admit that what we really have a spending problem?

Greece is in trouble because of what Dave says about their government workers allowed to retire in their early 50's (sound familiarto here) and something worse. Their tax system is on the honor system. They allow people to tell the government what their income was and that is what they pay taxes on. Could you imagine that system here. Timmy Geitner, Tommy Dashel, and the thousands of other government workers who owe back taxes would be paying. zero plus zero equals zero.

The IRS needs replaced with a consumption tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

              #2.4 - Wed Jul 20, 2011 6:27 PM EDT

I don't get it!!!! Why doesn't the right want to pay taxes??? Justice for all, and as Dave once cleverly coined, not just us.

                #2.5 - Wed Jul 20, 2011 7:36 PM EDT

If I remember right, it was the Obama nominees who had trouble getting confirmed due to taxes not being paid. How about Charlie Rangel?

I've paid taxes my entire life and have never taken a dime back from the government and I may not be happy about it but I have never complained but when I see reports that 51% of the american people do not pay anything in taxes and some of these people even get more back than what they paid really Pi$$es me off. Even your old company GE made 14 billion dollars profit and paid ZERO in taxes. Something is very wrong with the system.

We will never see a consumption tax because with this, the political elite lose their power since they cannot give their friends and money suppliers favors.

51% of the people not paying taxes is democrats vote buying attempts straight up. No other way to explain it especially when the actual poverty rate is only 14%.

Well written, and most would agree with you about General Electric "that it is not right"; but

the case can be made that since GE creates jobs and therefore helps the economy, the company

should get a break. At a GE luncheon months ago, one said "maybe it was not right, but she

could not fault GE for taking it", I suppose the implication being that who would pass it up.

Dave, have you tried Dorito's with Cool Ranch? If you eat one, before you know it you have

already eaten the whole bag. My husband surprised me yesterday with a bag because I like

                  the combination. Thanks. Phyllis

You say GE creates jobs. If I can believe media reports, has jeffery not taken 20,000 jobs offshore since he became head of the once great company Jack Welsh had flying hgh?

Well, that is a bone of contention with the men at Appliance Park, including my husband, but if

I remember correctly, there was a lengthy positive article about Immelt when he was in

South Carolina which you may have read. The elder president Bush was responsible for outsourcing.

I am aware of the bad economy as I am selling jewerly either today or Friday. And that

sucks!!!! And I look like I have been sucking on a lemon. Have a nice day. Phyllis

PS, Just, one more thing, didn't the elder Bush said "No more taxes"/ Talk about the pot calling

the kettle black. He lost me there. Have a nice day. Phyllis

Well democrats had control of both houses when taxes were raised under Bush Sr. Just so much a President can do when the people who control the purse strings go against him.

Disclaimer I never want to see another Bush any where near the white house.

                          #2.11 - Thu Jul 21, 2011 12:57 PM EDT

Never say never:o) I still admire GWB, the greatest president in modern history because he changed

the world with the ouster of Saddam. However, I respect the presidency and am supportive of

Pres. Obama who is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't and he got bin Laden, a feather

in his cap. Our greed based healthcare system is bankrupting the nation and I applaud AG

Jack Conway of Kentucky for his investigation into Passport Groups and they will have to repay $26.4

million More power to Conway. I may adopt him which would make Lesley happey as she is an

only and would like him for a brother. "It was not my goal, he said, to destroy them. It was my

goal to right a wrong and get the money back" The article, appearing in the Louisville Courier

Journal this morning made my day as the doctor I clashed with is in one of the Groups. It

gave me closure. And satisfaction! What's not to like about Jack! Phyllis

I have to agree with Dave. Voted for GHWB twice and for GWB twice. The second time was still better than the alternative but there is not another vote in me for another bush. Have had enough of the compassionate conservative republicans. I see no difference in their spending over the liberals.

Greedy, self-centered, unethical, lying political elites who can only think and plan in two year cycles is bankrupting this country.

Since the mid 1980's the cost of health care has risen around 250%. Sounds bad but there is one that is worse and it is never mentioned by a politican or anwone else and that is our liberal bastion of college campuses. There rates have increased over 400% over the same time frame. We need those crazy 60's protesters now professors to continue to turn out all the useful idiots they can.

....we need those crazy 60's protesters........ Surely, you are not serious. With very few exceptions,

like GWB, you have to watch your back with them. I belong to the 50's and the only thing the

two generations agree on is that we claim French actress Bridget Bardot/ Thank God, the fifties

are still here, a fantastic decade and Thank God It Is Friday. You never know what you would

do in the voting booth, but I might vote for Jeb Bush if it were in effect another term for

former President GWB. who knows who a woman would vote for as it is her prerogative to

change her mind. Phyllis And Mitt Romney is such a impressive man. But I am warming up

                              to President Obama.

I was a 60's guy but was smart enough to stay out of the hippie thing. I would stay home instead of voting for another Bush. Old saying "the apple never falls to far from the tree".

Warming up to Obama. You must not have grand children who will be suffering from his policies. Cannot imagine the damage he could do with another 4 years and not having to worry about another election. Fortunately, I am near the end of my ruler so I need not to worry but I sure am concerned for my grand kids. Government just does not know when to stop spending. Saw report on new taxes enacted since WWII. For every new dollar collected, our fine government spent $1.17. Why would it stop now.

If it was ruled any new tax dollars would go directly to deficit reduction, I could live with it but this would not happen!!!!!

My grandson Kyle turned 16 on Christmas Day and I adore him, which is the real reason I want to be

involved in what is going on in our country. On a humorous note, he does not understand why

there has to be a president, so alarmed is he what is happening. My daughter Lesley will not

discuss politics with me, but she did give me a GWB coffee cup she bought on a Washington DC

trip with Kyle's class years ago. I will not continue with other family members, etc, but I like

exchanging ideas with you, Dave, and other bloggers and I always learn something new and

come up with awesome revelations that otherwise I would not have on my own steam, so thanks

a million. Have a nice day. Phyllis

Good Evening Mr.Williams, a great broadcast this evening as always. Looking forward to cooler temperatures in the Fall. This is far too hot! Truly hope all the States in the grips of the intense heat wave get some relief very soon. So many days of high temperatures and with the humidity it makes it even worse. May everyone stay extra hydrated, cool and safe during this summer.

Now on to the broadcast. First of all the report by Stephanie Gosk from London on Rupert Murdoch, his son James Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks's appearance before Parlaiment today. Mr.Murdoch and his son James certainly denied knowledge of any wrongdoing, but seemed very apologetic for all the hacking into people's cellphones. It is hard to believe they didn't know something was happening, but really refused to answer questions in front of the members of Parlaiment. Mr.Murdoch's wife acted quickly when the person tried to attack her husband with a pie. Then Rebekah Brooks denied knowledge of anything going on with regards to the hacking into cellphones and voicemail messages. Quite a day in Parlaiment and so far it is contained only in the United Kingdom. Hopefully, it will not spread to the United States. Only time will tell.

Hearing from Mr.Warren the heat "dome" over much of the nation is not going to go away showed the high temperatures are sticking around for days to come. One hopes for relief very soon.

It is wonderful the girls did so well at the Google Science Fair! Great Job!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

Congratulations to NBC for getting 19 Emmy Award Nominations! That is Awesome!

                                    Be Well Everyone!
