Courtesy National Journal, more than you ever knew about my friend Chuck Todd and his daily routine. And, courtesy Gawker: What a very rich person's ATM receipt looks like. This is why they tell you to take your receipt.

We hope you were able to join us tonight.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this evening as always! What a great balance! More than one would need to know about Mr.Todd! Ha! Ha! Yes, one should always keep one's receipt and that is pretty funny to see. Always check one's receipt and bank statement!
Now on to the broadcast. Always wonderful to see Richard on the broadcast and in the studio too! Great to see you Richard!
The report by Richard on the terrible suicide bombings in Kabul along with the worst violence in Tahrir Square since the uprising and the situation in Libya with Qadhafi showed how difficult peace is to achieve in all these regions. As Richard stated the Afghans cannot handle securing the country and definitely have not secured the capital of Kabul as the Hotel Intercontinental was bombed by two suicide bombers killing many people. It may appear the US Troops may have to stay longer in the region to help the Afghans secure the country since they are not yet able to handle it. And it is awful to see the worst violence in Tahrir Square since the uprisings in Egypt due to the skepticism and frustration of the people with the military to handle the transition of government. Along with Qadhafi holding onto power in Libya. One hopes attacks will cease in Afghanistan, but it is not likely to happen if US Troops leave to region. A tense and dangerous situation in every region.
Excellent reporting as Always Richard! Please Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well! Safe Travels Richard!
The report by Janet Shamlian about the wildfires in Los Alamos told of firefighers making progress against the flames, yet the winds were picking up. One hopes the firefighters can keep the flames away from the labratory at the nuclear facility by building back fires around the buiding's area. Having the evacution order still in effect for the next few days is keeping people relatively safe, but one hopes things will improve so they can return soon to their homes.
The report by Michele Caruso-Cabrera from Athens showed some horrible violence by protestors over the government voting on budget cuts and lay offs to help the country's economy and avoid collapse. It is tragic people were injured in the clashes and one hopes things calm soon. Although, only time will tell with the decisions made by the government which seem to be necessary to prevent a collapse and ripple effect of the country's economy and the world's economy. Time is of the essence.
Good to know the turtles that stopped airline runway traffic at Kennedy Airport were brought to a more safe area!
The "Making A Difference" segment by Mara Schiavocampo about the organization called, "Hope and Bloom" that builds gardens for breast cancer patients was really moving and heartwarming. A wonderful thing to due to help bring hope to these women. Really lovely work and beautiful gardens!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
Be Well Everyone!
Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Please Travel Safely! Excellent Reporting As Always!
Take Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

money rules nice receipt. Many people are clueless to what Congress's job is. I never new so many people didn't know how our government and the Branches work. Some people think Obama does it all. Candidate are now supporting NY Bill in hopes of getting votes. House is on vacation and could care less about the debt meeting. Congress is doing what they said they will do nothing and assure Obama gets nothing done.
BOA settled billions with the fraud they had done on investors, to bad no one is helping the homeowners who Banks have committed fraud.
you realize they were settling a dispute against Countrywide right???which they gobbled up...All these people that say they were duped, cry me a river...learn to do math, no one had a gun to your head and made you SIGN YOUR NAME...Have some accountability, it's sorely missing in today's society. Now people just walk away and the rest of us are left holding the bag that put a decent downpayment down and thought 6% was pretty good fixed, why risk an ARM resetting. Before you blame someone else, look in the mirror.
One of my favorite "American sites" has this story from Gawker linked too. Ah too funny for the hate the rich parasites of the left. They've figured out who the ATM receipt belongs to. BIG TIME DONOR TO THE SENATE (CAN'T WRITE A BUDGET FOR OVER 750 DAYS) DEMONRATS bahahahahaha
The breadth of information you, Chuck Todd and others take in is amazing. Unfortunate the distillation of it is in terms of minutes each day to those of us who count on you to tell the story. I can see why it is a source of frustration. Granted it is your job, thanks anyway for doing it so well.
I saw most of President Obama's speech yesterday, and NBC's Chuck Todd , asking three questions
of the president, went for the jugular and talk about the president picking a fight. Give me a break.
And former Pres. Bill Clinton's opinion on the debt is schizophrenic. I am out of my league.but having
had a bout with schizophrenia I feel qualified to rebut his position: : Agree to cut spending AND
raise taxes but do neither until later after the economy is improves." Wait until when ------until
the sacred cows come home.
PS I thought of President Obama with the lyrics of "When The Cows Come Home"
Wake up to a little voice that says
You musn't let yourself sink finanically
Don't listen to the accusation that you are tight
You could be the first man on the street to get it right
Translating tight to mean in this case that President Obama is in a tight spot.
Good Morning America!
Wake up!!! And for the President to always have someone to be with him because heaven only
knows what they will accuse him of next.
That receipt is obviously a misprint. Nobody with a million bucks in the bank has it a capital one savings account. Granted they're offering the highest yield out there right now, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have 1 mil locked in at 1.5%...
On President Obama.....he's telling Congress to be leaders and telling us all what a leader does...yet he leads by pointing fingers saying look what these guys are doing and look at what this guy did...Unbelievable, he's cracking jokes up there and we're about to default.
Perhaps it would have been impressive if he held a news conference and asked congress to forgo their vacation (Even though I'm sure he wouldn't) and come meet him at the white house, both sides, to hammer out an agreement...But that's not what a "leader" would do. I hope he enjoys his golf this weekend.
Obviously, do-nothing Congress has decided the poor can get by on less, and as a nurse told me once,
they want what they can't have. In Monday's Louisville Courier Journal, The Work of Congress Is NOT
being done." And good advice from former president Bill Clinton to President Obama in his face off
with Congress. "Don't Blink." The work of Congress is not being done and that is undermining our
country. Only when members of Congress work for the benefit of all people , look beyond their
immediate personal gains, and show a fraction of the integrity, honesty, and diligence that the
founders did, will the United State regain its path to greatness. And the country will be known for
statemen and vision instead of egos, political machinations, gridlock, and decline." Amen to that,
and maybe it was not the poor, but African-Americans, and we know how that turned out. Our
country is now proud to have an African-American President from a single-mother home which
would have warmed my mother's heart because she raised my brother and me without a husband
in the house which brings to mind that great novel by Elizabeth Winthrop "In My Mother's House.
to whom was much given, and from whom much was expected.." Happy Fourth to all, which
reminds of that novel "With Malice Toward Some" paraphasiing of course. Pres Lincoln. Happy Fourth
to all, I mean some. :o) Phyllis
