Brian - Your above statement reminds me of my aunt, who if she were still here and watching the broadcast and heard the above statement she would've said "oh my", just like one of those Edith Bunker "oh my's", totally believing that the above is true !
See you are in campaign mode already. "do no harm to Obama". Our finest in Afganistan suffers their worst single day loss in a year and not a peep from you. Seven of our finest lost in a IED attackshould merit mention on the nightly news but you must have deemed it to damaging to your man.

I downloaded the NBC Nightly News iPad app per the suggestion of Brian Williams at the end of his show. Its a good app EXCEPT for an annoying "whooshing" sound thats made every time a screen changes (which is quite often). Please, please get rid of that sound or give me a way to turn it off. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I don't understand. Why is there always an app for the iPhone and iPad first than making it for both iOS devices and android devices? Not to mention the new Windows Phone 7 as well. Come on, be fair. I am a big fan of watching Nightly News with Brian Williams and sometimes i miss it. I watch it on PC as well but most of the time when I am out and i miss it, I want to watch it on my android phone. I have Samsung Epic 4G. By the way, I am deaf/hearing impaired, I always watch Nightly News on tv with CC (Closed Caption). When I was on PC to watch Nightly News that I missed, I found out it had subtitles and i was glad but then they stopped providing subtitles for the deaf/hearing impaired. I was very disappointed. I also noticed that the video quality on Nightly News website was horrible on PC.. it was like 360p instead of 480p and 720p. Nightly News website is lacking more and better features, not to mention an app for android, windows phone, blackberry, etc and closed caption/subtitles for the deaf/impaired.
Please make the app available to viewers in the UK too!
Access to the Nightly News website, with all of the content is available here in the UK, as is the ability to download the whole programme as a podcast yet the iPad app is only available to customers of the US Apple Store.
