Remember when "they" promised they'd take us back to the peace and prosperity of the 90s?

Obama's war for French Lube becomes illegal today.

Continued fight between the son's of Abraham. President Obama knew the peace settlement of 1967 was the best to end the conflict. For those who have no idea what it said here's some reading

On November 22, 1967, the Security Council adopted Resolution 242, the "land for peace" formula, which called for the establishment of a just and lasting peace based on Israeli withdrawal from territories occupied in 1967 in return for the end of all states of belligerency, respect for the sovereignty of all states in the area, and the right to live in peace within secure, recognized boundaries. The resolution was accepted by both sides, though with different interpretations, and eventually provided the basis for peace negotiations.

Israel citizens have wanted peace with Palestine for a long time and before 1947 both groups lived in peace. As current leaders use the bible as their for reason to take Middle East land. Israel leaders would use the creation of man to say they are the World rulers, World history plays not part. At some one Israel will have to realize Abraham had two son's one Palestine/Israel that he loved equally and that God loved too. Netanyahu is not interested in peace because there is to much money flowing in the Israel government. Jewish citizens will have to stand up to the current corrupt leaders like the people of Egypt did.

Ex IMF CHIEF is in alot of company with US Law Makers today. The US can't go one day without a sex scandal by a Law Maker and now we see it's common all over the World with so called powerful people. This is a topic the United States should just leave alone we have our own problems.

Sad to hear the young NJ student is getting death threats and threats of rape by Rep. Bachmann's supporter. Amy Myers spoke up after hearing Rep. Bachmann's incorrect speeches on US History and lack of knowledge on how the US Government works. She suggested a debate and now she sees how Bachmann's Tea Party supporters react. It's been common for 2 years with the attacks/threats on President Obama which Americans defend as their right to freedom of speech, but now it seems attacking a child is being done. Amy and her parents have been threaten and now even the school Amy goes to is being threaten too. What an example of US Democracy adults are showing.

If Israeli P.M. Netanyahu called for the U.S. to return to its 1840 borders, some Americans might get angry, but most would probably laugh. That's likely how the Israelis reacted to Pres. Obama's call for Israel to return to its 1967 borders. Israel's internal affairs are none of Obama's business. In 1967, Israel's "neighbors" viciously attacked it with the intent of wiping Israel off the map and killing every Israeli. Fortunately, Israel was able to defend itself, and in the process managed to capture some land. A country has no obligation to give back land it captured defending itself from a brutal attack. If Israel's enemies wanted to establish a Palestinian homeland, they should have done so in 1967 instead of attacking Israel. At Camp David in 2000, Israeli P.M. Ehud Barak offered Yasser Arafat 97% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a Palestinian Homeland (plus $30 billion). Arafat rejected the offer. That is without a doubt the best offer the Palestinians will ever get. There's plenty of land in Syria and Jordan. I'm sure either of those places would make a very nice Palestinian Homeland.

NBC FAN the money Israel gets is our business because it's paid with our tax money and it is the interest of the man we elected President. To say it's none of Obama's busy one might ask why was it every President before him? Now Americans and you might look at the facts and the amount as follows

Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, November 2008, pages 10-11

            Congress Watch

A Conservative Estimate of Total Direct U.S. Aid to Israel: Almost $114 Billion

That amount was just in 2008 and try checking out how much over the years Israel continues to collect US funding as long as it's a conflict. Now you might not care where your tax dollars are spent but other Americans do care now that we're in a Recession. Notice how in 2008 our law makers gave billions to Banks for bonus money as Chase CEO Jamie Dimond said his bank didn't need it but he took it anyway. No money for the unemployed but Israel gets 114 Billion.

              #3.2 - Sat May 21, 2011 7:28 PM EDT

I looked that report up and that amount was from 1949 - 2008. That's about 1.9 billion per year. Also if you're going to bag on a Wall Street Banker that favors the CriminalCrat party so heavily you should at least spell his name right.. It's Jamie Dimon and according to newsmeat.com his record on giving to political parties goes like this,
              $55,800 to Republican
              $290,700 to Democrat,
              and $283,500 to special interest,
              total: $630,000

Figures a banker that supports the lying democrats would screw over the troops though.

Your right Dave and McCain got all his donations from regular folks and didn't accept a dime from Corporations or Banks that's why he would have been a better President and Sarah a better Vice President. But who knows maybe this time Sarah can finally get to be President or Newt, Ron or even Michele Bachmann. This guy Herman Cain looks like he has a large support group from the Tea Party to get elected. Who knows maybe even have Cain and West be the new President/VP pick as you've often said anyone is better then Obama.

Brian Williams has become brazen. He no longer even pretends to disguise the frequent on-air promotions and product placements that he does for NBC and its sponsors. On Wednesday, a "news story" about Lady Gaga was shoehorned into Nightly News simply to promote her upcoming appearance on this week's Saturday Night Live. And that was followed by a story whose sole purpose was to defend McDonald's against accusations that it is inappropriate of them to use a clown to lure young children to their menu of high fat, high sodium and high cholesterol food. Brian made it clear where he stands on the issue. He said that the criticism of Ronald McDonald "seems a little harsh". So much for objective journalism. Of course, Brian's piece contained lots of video of McDonald's restaurants and Ronald McDonald, and even included clips from McDonald's commercials. What's the purpose of having a news broadcast if you can't use it to promote your network's best sponsors? In the story, Brian told us that, "Protesters...say a clown just shouldn't be used to promote fast food." But apparently, a news broadcast should.

Thursday's Nightly News was no different. The lead story was about Unabomber Ted Kaczynski's possible connection to the 1982 Tylenol tampering case. At the beginning and end of the story, Pete Williams was standing in front of a giant TV screen with the Tylenol logo. The story contained multiple shots of Tylenol. This was one big product placement for a regular NBC advertiser. And when you consider all the advertising dollars that NBC takes in from Johnson & Johnson (Tylenol's manufacturer), it's hardly a surprise that Nightly News did such a nice favor for one of their biggest advertisers.

One of the biggest blockbuster stories this week was the CBS News interview with Lance Armstrong's former teammates who say that Armstrong was doping during all of his Tour de France victories. This was the lead story on the CBS Evening News Thursday and Friday. But Nightly News did not even mention the story. The reason is obvious. The full Armstrong story will appear on Sunday's "60 Minutes", which airs opposite NBC's "Dateline". Brian and his producers desperately avoid mentioning "60 Minutes" because they don't want to hurt the "Dateline" ratings. But there's another reason why Brian didn't mention this story. The "60 Minutes" story was reported by Scott Pelley. Pelley is scheduled to take over as the anchor of CBS Evening News on June 6, so he will be Brian's direct competitor. The most important thing to Brian are his ratings, and as such he would never do anything to call attention to one of his competitors. Especially since Pelley is currently generating a lot of buzz. Of course, on June 5, I'm sure that Brian will welcome his "friend" Scott Pelley to the CBS anchor desk. He must appear to be cordial while thinking of ways to beat Pelley in the ratings.

It's interesting how Brian tells us what he wants us to believe, not what actually happens. On Thursday, he reported that "Dick Ebersol is leaving" NBC. However, Friday's New York Times page 1 headline screamed, "NBC Executive Who Delivered Olympics Quits". According to the Times article, Ebersol "resigned abruptly on Thursday after negotiations on a four-year contract collapsed". That sounds a bit different from "leaving". Of course, we can't expect Brian to report objectively about anything related to NBC. His job is not to report the news, but to present the facts in a way that shows NBC in the best possible light. He loves to brag about ratings for NBC shows when they're good, but never mentions ratings when they're bad. Meanwhile, it's been 15 months since the Vancouver Olympics, and Brian still hasn't mentioned that NBC lost $223 million on the Games.

Another story in the news lately: Recording artists initiated a class action suit against Universal Music (owned by NBC's parent company) claiming that Universal bilked them out of millions of dollars in royalties. Of course, this story was not mentioned on Nightly News. And Brian still hasn't reported that a former FCC commissioner (who voted to approve Comcast's acquisition of NBC Universal) will be joining NBC Universal as a senior vice-president and lobbyist. I won't hold my breath waiting for Brian to report this.

On Wednesday's Nightly News, Lisa Myers reported on a new John Jay College research study (commissioned by American Catholic bishops) about sexual abuse by priests. She told us that, "Surprisingly, the report takes issue with the term 'pedophile priest', saying less than 5% of the thousands of priests accused of abuse met the definition of 'pedophile'." But Myers's report contained a glaring omission. She did not mention an important fact that was reported the same night by Elaine Quijano on the CBS Evening News. According to Quijano, "The Church provided the information for analysis [in the John Jay report], and makes a controversial decision to label priests pedophiles only if they molested children age 10 or younger. By their standards, only 5% of the priests fit the pedophile profile." So the Catholic Church only considers a priest to be a pedophile if he molested a child 10 years old or younger. Molesting a child between the ages of 11 and 16 is not considered pedophilia by the Church. That is an astounding claim, and it is astounding that Myers did not report it. This is yet another example of Nightly News protecting the Catholic Church. Obviously, Brian Williams had a hand in the way this story was reported. Brian is Catholic. You can draw your own conclusions.

Finally, what's the deal with Maria Menounos? She reported two Nightly News stories this week. Do the producers actually think she has any journalistic credibility? She's a reporter for Access Hollywood! Her job is stalking celebrities (that is, when she's not trying to further her acting career with roles in TV shows like "One Tree Hill" or "Knight Rider"). And did Brian really think he was bolstering her credentials by showing the current issue of Self, which features Menounos on the cover? The headline accompanying her photo is "Drop-a-Size Secrets From Access Hollywood's Maria Menounos". Are we supposed to take her seriously? She isn't exactly Martha Raddatz or Christiane Amanpour, you know.

                        Dear Brian,

I understand this is off topic but I wanted to bring your attention to the plight of a young man in Louisiana named Damon Fowler.

He pointed out to his school administration that they could not legally require a prayer at graduation.

In response, he has been vilified by the town, threatened with death, mocked by his teacher in the press (bastropenterprise.com/features/x2132687894/Student-challenges-prayer-at-Bastrop-graduation), and put under house arrest by his mother.

Please, Brian, the country needs to see this story.

                        Thank you.

Yes, Phyllis, we know about your "Christian worldview" and how you think this country should be a Christian theocracy where school prayer would be REQUIRED in every classroom. However, because the U.S. isn't a theocracy, we have something called the "separation of church and state". Ever hear of it? By the way, shouldn't you have been raptured on Saturday? Also, Tennessee Dave's comment iabove (#4) was a gentle poke at Rapture Fever. "T.G.I.T.L. Friday" translates to "Thank God It's The Last Friday".

I'm a devout atheist, by the way, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't show such disdain for my people.

Thanks to Janet Shamlian for her series of reports on the impact of the Morganza spillway opening on the lives of people who live far away from the Mississippi River floodplain. We understand that the needs of the many (Baton Rouge and New Orleans) outweigh the needs of the few (Stephensville) but it still hurts when you see innocent people having to make terrible sacrifices. And, as Janet pointed out tonight, the latest round of tornadoes and heavy rain in the upper Mississippi basin will add to the misery of those living thousands of miles to the south in the bayous of Louisiana.

Middle East as the alternative is unthinkable. I was relieved, however, when it was reported that he

would be kept abreast of domestic issues. Hopefully, like gas gouging. Kentucky AG Jack Conway has
