Thank you, Brian Williams, for returning to the US last night to cover the tornadoes on the evening news. The other networks have made the royal wedding their priority. We are proud of you for putting America first in this time of tragedy.
I personally enjoyed the look on the faces of the weather experts when they tried not to laugh at Brian Williams. They know that these tornadoes have nothing to do with global warming (a.k.a. climate change) and they did all they could to help Mr. Williams from looking like a complete fool.
It's too bad that we need to read French journalism to get the facts: www. france24 .com/en/20110428-tornadoes-whipped-wind-not-climate-officials
I'll have to check it it; however, I believe the Russians are responsible:o) Their sciencists I mean :o)
An American Tragedy God bless Brian Williams for his coverage of the tornado destruction in the
South........from New York.
Some people will find any excuse to get out of putting on a suit and going to a wedding. :)
Dave, my daughter Lesley's minister never wears a suit because he wore a suit on his wedding
Day which was the worse day of his life:o)Phyllis I wept this morning as I read the newspaper'about
the death toll is now 329 in 7 states. Phyllis
Dave, while browsing through a book store this book I saw a book called "Book of Dave" but when
I went back to skimmed through it the book was gone. (used book store). Anyway, I googled on
Wikipedia Encyclonpedia, sounds interesting but a hard read but which I eventually hope to read.
Have a nice weekend. Phyllis
"Dave buries the book, which is discovered centuries later and used as the sacred text for a dogmatic, cruel, and misogynistic religion that takes hold in the remnants of southern England and London following catastrophic flooding."
Sounds depressing. Skip the book and just watch any round table of Progressive so called men talking about Conservative women. bahahahahaha
Yes, an unhappy ending for Dave, but the premise, theme, whatever, was about tolerance and
freedom, but I may take your advice and skip it, though I will skimmed through the novel if
I find another copy. Phyllis survived, though:o) which was encouraging so I may buy the
book but then I may not since she was deceived and that was depressing and that may be
a fate worse than death:o) Yeah, it would be a fate worse than death. Just my opinion
Brian, I am so impressed with your decision to return to the U.S. to cover the tornado destruction. I'm interested in the Royal Wedding -- and got up at 5 a.m. to watch -- but you are right that your place as a journalist is covering this tragedy. Thank you!
Dear Brian and NBC news staff!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for realizing that the tradegy here in our own country is more important than the wedding overseas!
There has been way too much coverage of that wedding, your whole entire morning staff is over there, why would we need the evening staff over there too?
Thank you for reporting the American tragedy on our American television.
Any by the way, I live in Nevada and thank you Brian for pronouncing Nevada correctly!

NBC and Bryan Williams showed great class today by returning home and presenting the various stories of the storm tragedy.
Thanks so very much.
It was so beautiful and Wills/Kate did it their way. Now Pippa owned the dress she wore it was the best. Diana would have been so proud of her son and even Queen Elizabeth was great. Wills will make a great King as everyone knows Charles will never be King. Wills had a alot of time to explain to Kate what she would have to deal with as he knew so much from his Mom. Diana and Charles's marriage was an arraigned marriage to produce and heir. Wills/Kate picked each other and it showed in their words and body language this was a marriage of love.
Brian you wont have to seen a tape to the President this time about this disaster like NBC had to do with Katrina. Obama quickly stepped up and rush to help the Citizens. No word from any House/Congress/Senate elected Law Makers from the disaster States. Looks Obama was right now the debt ceiling will have to go up to help. No word on the Tea Party either as now they need help from the same Federal Funds they were fighting to end. Life always has lessons. I',m looking forward to the blame and spin from the GOP as they watch President Obama do the job he was elected to do for all the people.
Brian it looks like President Obama has no opponent to run against so I might enter the race just to give his someone to debate. As the President said right now it's a circus show and we need serious people because we have serious problems to deal with.
Never let a crisis go to waste
Jackie, reading between the lines are you blaming former President George W. Bush for Katrina? If so,
I am sure all you dieheart Democrats will blame him for the mess we are in now. And that sickens
me. By the way, how is your daughter Peaches? Have a nice weekend. Phyllis
Not blaming anyone just stating the facts. I have friends in New Orleans and our here our NBC station broke in with the news. That same day our news showed President Bush in Arizona fund raising and the next day he was here in Los Angeles. After 5 days the local news annouced President Bush was given the tape news of the disaster because he didn't know what had happen. He then did a fly over to see the damage. I know it's not much but it broke my heart to see the people suffering and begging for help. Blame wont bring those people back, but we can learn from what we could have done. I didn't look at the victims of Katrina as Democrats or Republicans like many did, I looked at them as fellow Americans. Today we are doing donations for the disaster victims in the South. Still no one is asking are they Democrat or Republicans we are just Americans helping Americans. But I guess your right some, people like to ask which party you belong to before reaching out or caring. Obama isn't doing anything more then any elected President would do and that is act quickly when a disaster happens and take care citizens who are suffering.
Peaches is doing great, she's in Italy now and should be home by June. I'll make sure I tell her you asked about her. You have a great weekend and stay safe.
Thanks for your reply Perhaps I am touchy about people blaming GWB and took what you wrote in
the wrong way but it does seem to me that people unfairly blame him and that includes both
Democrats and even Republicans who resent him as well. You either love him or hate him. All
who know me know to which camp I belong. It's good to know that Peaches will be home in
June, and you must be very happy. My daughter Lesley has a birthday in June, Whatever would
we do without our daughters. A General Foods' District Sales Manager said his wife would
sacrifice him for their daughter, and he was serious. Have a nice weekend. Phyllis
Jackie, Peaches homecoming in June will be wonderfully sweet for both of you. God bless. Phyllis
Brian, two nights in a row I have heard you ask the weather experts "What is going on here", "It didn't used to be this way" and "Is there something we are doing to make the weather this way?" And both nights, you were given non-answers. Do the research Mr. Williams. You are good at getting the real story out. The real story is extremely low frequency electromagnetic charges over the area two days ago created this storm and it was predicted with accuracy by a youtuber called dutchsinse or you can view his associates channel patrioticspace. The only people who seem to not know that these weather anomlies are created is the national media and I give you credit for asking them the questions and giving the experts an opportunity to tell the truth so people can prepare themselves accordingly. We have entered into a new generation and way of fighting that the world has never seen before with skyhigh injuries and widespread damage to innocent people just living their lives. Our government who we give so much money has a duty to atleast share with us the information that we can use to keep ourselves alive. And you asked them point-blank and they denied. So now, go about the business of getting the real truth out so people can keep themselves alive and protected as much as possible.
I personally enjoyed the look on the faces of the weather experts when they tried not to laugh at Brian Williams. They know that these tornadoes have nothing to do with global warming (a.k.a. climate change) and they did all they could to help Mr. Williams from looking like a complete fool.

Where have all the war protestors gone? Have you progressives seen any of them?
Great report tonight an on dateline also. Brian the picture of you and little kids on the floor was priceless. You looked like Dad that needs grandkids you looked so interested in what the kids had to say. I can't say it enough your actions spokes volumes to what a great person you are and how you rate number one in Anchor News reporters.
Thank you so much
Have a safe weekend all
hola, brian,i hope everybody's home and car insurance kicks in fast and a way is found to compensate those without. i'm glad that so many willing hands are going into the area to help. it sure sounds like the area looks totally surreal. it is hard to protect property from such an onslaught, but warnings could sure help get the people out of harm's way. the loss of life tally is very, very sobering. thoughts and prayers to everyone. best, anna martina
Thank you for writing something of importance. This storm killed hundreds and all the other comments on this page seem to be of personal agenda. I live in Birmingham, Al. but I'm currently in Iraq. At home I am a law enforcement officer and have been in contact with many of my co-workers. Birmingham and Tuscaloosa are partially destroyed. Let's pray that recovery will come for those who have lost their homes, possesions and loved ones. The people of Alabama will stand together. That's what they do (except for Alabama/Auburn Football). They are dedicated people and they believe in one another.

when the peaches on my trees ripen in the summer, i always take a bunch to the sierra vista police department.
On Easter, my daughter's mother-in-law made peach cobbler, and it was sinfully delicious.
Man Brian, the things you've seen and covered. Wow.

Lester, Louisville NBC local news showed your coverage of the terrible tragedy in Tuscaloosa and
as you said on Nightly News later this evening the tragedy is unspeakable; and it is unacceptable,
quoting Professer Simpson from the University of Louisville. I am not certain of the implication of
what he said; but this much I know, something is wrong here. Thank you so much for reporting on
the Libyan situation. If Gadhafi had to die today, he'd prefer a better climate, no thanks to Russia.
Speaking of Russia, I picked up a copy of Tom's Clancy ENDWAR (now in paperback), it begins to
rebuild its military might in hopes of restoring the Motherland to true greatness. I wonder if this
is revelant in its present stance in NATO. The book is fiction, of course, but still the book may
be prophetic as were the novels of Allen Drury. Be safe. Phyllis
PS Lester, it is most unfortunate about Gadhafi's grandkids being killed, and I hope NATO succeeds
in taking him out before more innocent lives are lost. It is shocking that he is supplying his
regime with Viagra but they may kill him for rendering them impotent. Phyllis
Dear Brian & NBC Staff,
I appreciate the coverage of Tuscaloosa, AL, as I am from Alabama and currently live in Jacksonvile, FL. It's nice to see you on location, reporting and not from New York.
But I DO want to comment about something. NO ONE has mentioned some of the best work, being done from a website that originally started, when that crazy AL fan, poisoned the Toomers Corner Oak trees. (On which you guys reported) I am a HUGE AL fan and have grown up loving the "Bear" (And NBC Nightly News) just as much as any Alabama Fan, but when that crazy guy poisoned those trees, 5 Alabama Grad students started a website called "Tide for Toomer's" which raised $50K for the destruction of the trees (look it up on Facebook).
When the tornadoes hit Tuscaloosa, AL, the Auburn fans have been continuously returning the favor, 10 folds over, by starting the facebook page "Toomers for Tuscaloosa".
They are posting efforts ALL day/night long about contributions and deliveries all the way from Texas and every where in between. They ask for something and then someone turns around and gives it. And it's not JUST for Tuscaloosa, it's for MS, AL & GA. The dedication and efforts made by these AU people have touched every one's hearts, and have brought 2 MAJOR rivals together, in a time of need and desperation. It's TRULY a "MAKING A DIFFERENCE" story that should be told!!! (And updated on, as recovery efforts continue.)
I hope that you guys will look into it and report on something wonderful that's coming out of a tragedy that started, many months ago, about 2 rivals and the saving of some trees.... . Talk about Karma. :o) ROLL TIDE!
I'm still waiting to hear about the destruction in Jefferson County Alabama, in and around Birmingham. It was terrible. NBC, where are you?
I'm still waiting to hear and see stories about the death and destruction in and around Jefferson County Alabana, like Birmingham and the surrounding suburbs. My family lived in Fultondale, and I haven't heard or seen anything about those areas.
Now WTF out of this White House? Was setting up my DVRs and noticed Trump's show is on right now mmmmmmmmm
CONGRATS TO THE UNITED STATE MILITARY & THE CIA!!!!
Now if someone would just do something about the treasonous a-holes that made UBL's dream of collapsing our economy come true.
Yep,and they should be hung out to dry
It was a team effort, thanks to all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart to the men and women
in uniform. a debt I can never repay
Dear Brian Williams & NBC Staff,
I wanted to write to you in the response to your coverage of the destruction on Tuscaloosa, AL. When you guys went on location, there, it was truly a riveting and heart felt moment to see these people trying to put back together, piece by piece, their lives after a horrific tragedy that occurred on April 27th, 2011.
It warmed my heart, as I am from Alabama, born and raised and even attended the University of Alabama, in the mid-late 90’s. To see on TV and the pictures, gives no justice to what those survivors are facing, everyday.
But the reason I wanted to email you is because there was a Facebook page started, a few months ago, when that crazy AL fan poisoned those beautiful, century old trees on Toomers Corner, in Auburn, AL. As a die hard AL, I was heartbroken for them because I could not begin to imagine someone doing that to our “Quad”. So 5 Alabama Graduate students got together and created the Facebook page, Tide for Toomers. It truly brought together, one of the biggest rivals, in the SEC, together for a wonderful cause…..to help save the trees on Toomers Corner. $50K was raised for those trees and I saw so many AL and AU fans come together, as our pain went out to them and their pain, as they were losing such a rich, important history in their town. It was incredibly heartwarming.
And then came April 27th, 2011; one of the most disastrous tragedies to happen to Tuscaloosa, AL ever in their history. And what arose from the ashes were 2 AU students, who didn’t even know each other, at the time, came together on Facebook and started Toomers for Tuscaloosa.
They are on there almost 24/7 asking for help and directing where people should go and what to bring. Who needs something, when? Ask them. Need ice or a truck? Ask them. Need clothes or kids stuff? Ask them. Need a chainsaw? Ask them. Post what you need and where you are and somehow, some way, they will get what you need to the people in need. From ANYWHERE in the country! And if you don’t, they will call your city out! Lol But eventually, someone will come to the rescue; rain or shine; cold or hot weather. They will be there to help you pick up the pieces. For most people, they are the ONLY light at the end of their dark tunnel. And thanks to these WONDERFUL and LOVING people, they should be recognized NATIONALLY!!!! These wonderful people are some of the heroes that we all want to see, in our lifetime.
So I beg you to PLEASE make this known to everyone, across the country. PLEASE report on these wonderful kids and their incredible mission to help others! They TRULY Make a Difference…..every day! They deserve SO much and yet, they do it because the want to. Not because they are getting paid or want recognition; they do it because they can. They are TRULY HEROES!
Sincerely,
Lisa Bauman
