iPhone, other new technologies raising privacy concerns

What we're following:

- Rebels take key border crossing in Western Libya

- New police tool raises privacy concerns

- Strong corporate earnings drive stocks up

And did you see...

- Coveted championship trophy dropped, crushed by bus

- Apple iPhone software tracks users' location

- Could we see $6/gallon gas this summer?

Aren't you able to disable location services? I know people use them on Facebook to Check In where they are and I never quite understood that, but personal preferences. Some people seem to think others want to know that they're grabbing a beer at the corner bar. It's a little TMI to me.

Me too, but I am not high tech like my daugther. who loves Face Book. I'll just stay computer friendly. To each his own.

what difference does it make if they can track us if we're not doing something illegal or having an affair you want to hide. wake up America, maybe it will control the drug traffickers and terrorists and keep a few people honest in their marriage

cell phone tracking like illicit eavesdropping/wiretapping is a precursor to "gang stalking" a national epidemic in this country. it is the results of privacy violation based assaults and defaming of neighbors/residents/citizens behind their backs for years, even decades.

alot of time I just leave my cellphone either at home or if I have it...it's turned off, unless I need to use it....if I don't want to be found, there's a reason!

Watch the newest cartoon with yes Brian Williams. Now Brian adds another career to his list, this time he's turned off on frozen yogurt thanks to a super hero. Brian is always a step ahead of even the former Governor of California who is looking to be a cartoon character. NBC.com will show it and you might want to watch 30 Rock tonight. Now seeing Brian as a little boy and the cute hat was priceless. What will our Brian Will. I. Ams do next?

Good for the Rebels in taking key port. This is one of the great revolutions, and God be with them. I will

miss seeing Brian on 30 Rock this evening, but he must have been a cute little boy because look at him now.

No telling what he will do next. It will be cool, whatever.

all the privacy stuff sounds so focault! i'm glad i'm low tech and poor, not worth monitoring:-) poor people are invisible. national security agents would do well to utilize them, of course, then they would get paid and would go up a rung or two on the food chain, which is a very good thing:-) then, the national security agents could go back into the poverty pool and do some more hiring . . . . hey, we could bring sargent shriver back and have him supervise this as part of the 'war on poverty' . . . . . . the vietnam vets were out en force in s.v. today, i wonder what they were sensing . . . . obviously, danger! danger! they go very quietly about their business. i would have loved to have sat in on that recon meeting! they beat the sherrif's office by a long shot. best, anna martina
