They are the recipients of our thanks

Brian Williams welcomes Medal of Honor recipients to NBC Nightly News.

We were visited today by a number of Recipients of the Medal of Honor.  They are in town for their annual visit to New York.  We have a board meeting tomorrow of the Foundation that supports them, and two dinners this week.  Believe it or not, these great men showed up here today (veterans of WWII, Korea and Vietnam) to thank us for our coverage of the Medal and its Recipients.  It left all of us overwhelmed.  We, of course, thanked them for their service.  I want to thank them publicly for making the trip.  It meant the world to us.

We hope you can join us tonight.

I look forward to the day when we can truly understand the contribution each individual has made in our unique life. There are many who may be strangers and even those who may not have lived in my lifetime, who have given me the life that I have. What gratitude will fill my heart when I completely understand the whole picture.

I never thought I would agree with Dennis Kucinich on anything but he is spot on saying that we have no business being in Lybia. We have already spent to much money there. If it is humanitarian, why are we not helping Bahrain, Yeman, and others as people are being killed there. We need to stop trying to be the world policeman, especially at places it does not matter what we do, they hate us and want us dead.

OH Andrea, are we supposed to be impressed that Obama is cutting his spring break short. You seemed to put an emphisis on that. It may impress you and the MSM but I do not think we the people care.

It is America's role to execute justice and judgement in this wordl. Justice for all and not justus.

I, for one am impressed by President Obama who has shown his true colors. And they are

red, white and blue. This is one of the great revolutions which can shift power in the Middle East

and therefore change the course of history. The people of the US are not apathetic; they care,

not just Us. God cares ( 1 Peter, chapter 5) O, JustBfair, I do not presume to lecture you,

nothing of the kind, just giving you my opinion, but I do not think you understand what

Andrea said, that's all. You didn't get it and took it the wrong way. Just my opinion, I am not

speaking for We the People,. But this much I know, they are disgusted by Gadhafi who is killing

his own people. I do so appreciate being allowed to exchange ideas on this Blog. Thanks to all.

        Phillis,

We have spent many hundred's of billions of dollars and a countless number of young lives in the middle east over the past 10 years and we are no further ahead now than we were then. You can be assured that within 5 years after we leave Iraq and Afganistan, they will both be islamic states. I will also predict that 2-3 years from now, the whole of the middle east will be completely different, and not in a good way. You should be praying that Saudia Arabia can hang on as a kingdom and that Isreal can survive as a nation. Obama's entry into the Lybia mess is another way to drive us into further debt to drag us down to a mediocre nation. He hates us being a super power.

How else can you explain his actions in Brazil. We have as much if not more oil reserves than they have but he still finds it necessary to give them 2 billion dollars and promise technical help for them to develop their deep water oil wells then we will be their biggest customer. This is nothing more than redistribution of our national wealth. We could develop our own reserves and keep all that wealth right here in the United States of America, along with jobs, but that would make us richer and stronger. This is our Presidents true colors. Wealth redistribution. Just like he told Joe the Plumber.

        Have a nice day,

JustBFair, a Kingdom will be set up but not the one you mention, a Kingdom, that's what it is all

about, and that's what at stake and His Testimony.

President Obama did good by being in Brazil, a good example, of where Democracy is

working Seeing is believing. Take off your sunglasses"o) Great strategy by the president.

Best of luck, you will need it, and have a nice day. Phyllis

I'm not the one that needs the dark glasses. Appears you would blindly follow this man through any minefield he would want to go through.

You are seemingly, well, a little uptight. No offense. Phyllis

Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this evening always. It is wonderful the Medal of Honor recipients came a visited at the NBC studio. Certainly brave and honorable men! Truly a privilege for you to be in their company and it is great you are on the board.

Now on to the broadcast. First of all the report by Mr.Miklaszewski about the the US fighter jet that crashed and the two pilots that ejected. It was good news to hear that both men are okay since it was a tense twelve hours before the second pilot was found. It was nice to hear the pilot was greeted by civilians in Libya so warmly and then being brought to a hotel in Benghazi. Coalition forces have done intense bombing in the city of Tripoli.

The report by Mr.Maceda from Tripoli showed the destruction of one building heavily hit. The city is a stronghold of Gadhafi and their are many supporters of him. The Gadhafi forces will fight the rebels if the rebels make it to Tripoli. Defiance of Gadhafi and his supporters could lead to many rebels being lost in the conflict. Time will tell.

Richard's report from Benghazi told of the rebels truly needing organization and outside help to succeed in this fight against Gadhafi. Wanting to hire outside advisors in the open market proves they really won't make such advances without any help from outside. As Richard stated the men in the rebel forces are willing to fight and die for their country, yet they don't have any experience in combat. One can understand why they want help.

                  Excellent reporting Richard as Always!

The reprot by Mr.Bazell from Japan about the families struggling to survive is heartbreaking. Hearing from the mother who's husband is working at the plant is heartwrenching. The mother with her son are safe in the shelter, yet it is unsafe to return home. Many people in the shelters having no homes left from the disaster and it is so very tragic. It is good to see so many volunteers to help bring supplies to them. One hopes the mother and her son will reunite with the husband soon.

The report by Mr.Costello from Louisiana about oil being found along the waters and coastline beaches was awful. Seeing the miles of waters with lines of crude is terrible and after the people from the reion went through so much last year. One hopes the lab tests will determine where the crude came from in the Gulf to stop any current leaks.

Nice to see all the Former US Presidents honoring Former President George H.W.Bush at the Kennedy Center. Moving words spoken by Former President Clinton.

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

                  Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard! Excellent Reporting as Always!

Take Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

                    Brian-

It's almost too much to believe that with everything gone wrong in the world, in addition, we now have another oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico! Thankfully we could count on you to bring it to our attention and I'm sure you will continue to keep us abreast of developments. I guess we all know where Anne Thompson is going next! Good God, what else?

Having been exceptionally busy of late, I have been remiss in commenting about the superb work you all have been doing literally around the world. Talk about intrepid -- your correspondents and their crews have been unbelievable! And now I see Ron Allen is back in Cairo!

Hopefully the news gods will give us a break before everyone wears out completely.

Thanks to all. Your efforts are much appreciated -- and effective! You have truly kept us well informed.

And Brian, when you said to Ann Curry that you hoped you two would get a chance to talk about her experiences in Japan when she returned, I do hope some of that conversation will take place in your studio some time say between 6:30 and 7 PM on a couple of evenings. Wouldn't hurt if the cameras happened to be on!

                    Take care all-

                    Celine

Brian, I saw your Video honoring Bush 41, and, of course, I will tune in on the 28th. I still prefer

your blue tie; as in everything else in life, it's only a preference.l To each his own. Phyllis

Brian, I just watched the Video of David Gregory/Morning Joe; so interesting. Anyway, I would like

to add my two cents worth. Gadhafi is the Devil in Disguise and should be driven out immediately

with the pitchfork. Have a nice day and I will catch you this evening on your broadcast. Phyllis
