The Obama adminstration offered "any type of assistance" to Libyans seeking to oust the long-time leader,
according to the Louisville Courier Journal. Good news!
PS which is good news indeed and music to my ears.
THE BIGGEST WINNER OF THE OSCARS WAS CHASE/GOLDMAN/CITI/BOA the continued corrupt group not only successfully by passed any criminal charges for the massive crimes but can now add Oscar winners. The movie INSIDE JOB shows a how to commit crime and get away with it. The next up dated movie might win again. Only in America can Corporations rob the taxpayer blind and get rewarded for doing so. The movie will be used as a how to do crimes for future criminals.
Unions got some help last night with a thank you for all their hard work. What's a is puzzling is Wisconsin protesters are asking for Obama's help. Now we just had an election where voters put the Republicans in control of the House/Congress as reports showed Obama with low polls. Speaker Boehner said the voters have spoken and wanted smaller government and more control from States. Well States are now taking control. Not one call for support was made to the Republicans elected by the Wisconsin voters and they voted Governor Sky Walker in office. These are educated union professionals who should know a President handles Federal problems for all States and doesn't get involved in the elected State officials. Obama like anyone can voice concern or support but it's the voters who put the Koch puppet in office and it's the voters who can take him out. Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan who's on the Koch team was voted in office by the same protesters. Be careful what you wish/vote for you just might get it.
Charlie Sheen will be forgiven and do big things as we pick and choose who we want. Linsey Lohan is not only a criminal/drug user but uses this to become a bigger star. Just think what young people are seeing as role models. We talk values but stick the worse examples are to report and headline. Linsey get's breaking news going to court not about the crime but about the dress she's wearing. Charlie Sheen is found with a suitcase full of drugs but no mention of that with the drug task force. But let a person commit a crime and do his time in jail, if your Michael Vick there will never be forgiveness. All the people admired by youth seem to be woman with children unmarried or just living together and not married. Brad/Angie are American celebrities who draw nation wide attention. Example of how low we have put the mark on values. When people wonder what went wrong check out who get's on the TV and who doesn't. The good people are left to the history books or stories told by those who knew, but when a society can name each one of the Simpson's but can't name on US Supreme Court Justice it's sad.
Looking forward news on the arrest of Roger Ailes, or will he get a pass like the corrupt Banks?
You should call your Rep and tell them that you want them to join with Rep. Issa and bring the banks that put Obama in office to justice. :-)
Brian,
Why no coverage of the weekend protests in Washington, DC, especially the one organized by Van Jones. Also, could you have one of your crack investigative reporter check to see if it is true that the permit was actually obtained for the union demonstrations by the group International Socialist Organization. If this is true, then all the signs displayed in the Wisconson capitol by the socialists and comunists makes the crazy claims by Glenn Beck evidently true. The progressives, socialists, Islamists, and comunists will all work together to destroy capitalisim
Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this evening as always. Some of the broadcast was pre-empted here because the local NBC affiliate was showing storm coverage, but Nightly News came on right at Mr.Costello's report so I was able to see the rest of the broadcast.
First of all the report by Mr.Maceda from Tripoli which showed how much anxiety of the people in what may happen next in the region whethe civil war is just eminent. It is interesting that Gadhafi is telling foregn journalists the people like him when there is so much unrest, chaos, gun battles being forged all over different cities. Gadhafi is dillusional and disconnected as the US officials have stated. The government giving out $400 in handouts to the people while gun battles ensue in Misrata and in Bengahzi people are signing up to volunteer to fight for Tripoli. The opposition is closing in on the city and civil war is building.
The report by Emma Murphy showed how the border at Tunisia is teeming with people trying to flee Libya with children being passed from person to person. So many foreign workers leaving the region which damages the economy of the region. Hopefully. the camps at the border wil not become permanent as people would like to return to their homes when the chaos is over. One hopes for peace.
Sad to learn of the passing away of Frank Buckles at the age of 110yrs old. The last survivor of WWI and survived being captured at a Japonese POW camp. He served his country bravely and with honor. We Salute Him.
The piece by Mr.Cowan about the Academy Awards showed how the man who wrote, "The King's Speech" David Seidler, became the "quiet hero" of the awards. He lived with the struggle of stuttering and found inspiration from King George VI and how he struggled. After waiting 28 years to be able to write the script by permission of the Queen Mother, wife of George VI who only said after her death could he write the screenplay, David Seidler was able to win an Academy Award for the story. At the age of 73yrs old he acheived a great thing and as he said his father said he was a late bloomer. He was truly deserving.
Congratulations to All the Winners!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!
