If it sounds like we're complaining about snow...

Brian Williams writes:

This is the table where we have dinner on weekend nights, when its warm enough to be outside and not covered in snow.

These were once lawn chairs.

This is my driveway. Last night. Those White Cliffs of Dover in the background are 5 feet high thanks to the plow.

Thanks for sharing love you much but can't feel your pain as it's a sunny warm 79 degrees out here in California and well sorry. Are the roads clear enough to drive now with your backyard with so much snow. Brian you should remember to put the lawn furniture in side during the winter anyway.

I'll wait to comment on the news after the report this evening . Brian remember we're 3 hours different.

see you same time same place

if it was summer, 16 states would have serious flooding, it may not seem like it, but snow is much more kind, methinks. it is getting down to the low 30's at night, here in sierra vista, but it is nice and sunny during the day and the kids are running around the neighborhood with light jackets on or not. waiting to see what happens in egypt. garnet hill has a baby camel being led by a little girl with a huge smile as she looks up at the baby camel she is leading by his reins in one of their product pictures. he is a cutie! the little girl is blonde. i had a dream that they found a HUGE spaceship buried in the sand in the desert. they called in the german otto rahn because there were viking long boats in the cargo bays. nasa should buy it and use it as a hotel on the moon, it was fully operational after eons buried in the sand, in my dream. don't know if it was used to transport slaves. those aliens seemed to like using arthur clarke's space elevators for THAT. there are ancient empty missile silos in india in the hindu/kush mountains, in iran and china. those trajectories were straight up, so earth has been invaded/attacked in the past, the missiles weren't meant to attack other countries on earth, their targets were in our air space. somewhere in the dream, the santa cruz river of old tucson was coming back and there were lakes in the catalina mountains, the river and the lakes were loaded with fish. and i haven't even been eating pizza in the wee hours of the morning! okay, it was the yummy pot roast i made the other day . . . . . i had it after my middle of the night bath when my sleeping schedule got shifted to 4 a.m. again this morning. take good care, richard. best, anna martina

Holy cow! Well, I guess we can all say that Spring can't come soon enough! (As much as I love the snow and Winter) Stay safe in all that snow! And, since I neglected to say it in my previous post (on your previous blog post) have a wonderful, safe weekend!

Brian: Nice photo's. I cleaned my my car of snow yesterday, an to top it all off, the car would't start. Great way to start a day, huh? Today flurries are starting to fall, which makes me even happier. I Can't recall the frequency of snowfalls, like these. here in Central Pennsylvania. We need a couple of forty degree days for relief, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Well. go clean off your furniture, and mabe you can have a winter barbeque. I'll be watching the intensity of this next event, and in the meantime, have a great weekend. I'll catch you on Monday's broadcast.

            Hello,

Oh my gosh, you had 5 feet of snow at the end of your driveway?!?! To set the context, it was one month ago, large snowstorms were sweeping across the northern United States, in New York, "Well it looks like we're gonna get hit by Snowpocalypse, so stay indoors to be safe, and stock up on canned food and bottled water." In Minnesota 3 days earlier, "Oh, its snowing somemore, ah well." (Just to clarify, I don't mean a harsh tone, if it comes off that way) But yes, we did get a lot of snow this year in Minnesota too, its just not a big deal, but spring will be fun when everything melts, Louisiana and Mississippi are gonna be wet. If you need help shoveling, send me a round trip plane ticket and I'll come help.

Wow, those pics are hard to believe for me, because I was walking around campus yesterday in a t-shirt (I'm in mid-Georgia). It felt almost like spring for us, while you guys in NY were dealing with another blizzard. Man, I feel bad for you guys! That's so much snow!! The piles of it look fun to jump in or slide down, but I understand that you guys are probably sick of it by now. Didn't that last NY storm have "Thundersnow", as Colbert mentioned? A thunderstorm of snow is also hard to imagine, since all I know is GA weather. Good luck digging out of all that snow, and stay warm, Brian!

Well yeah, our driveways look that way here in MN too; they have since the first monster storm in December. I've decided that I call my home state "Siberia East" now since we seem to have been magically moved to the Tundra. It's much safer to drive at night because you can see the headlights of other cars around these snow mounds; during the day, it's very dicey.

Yes, come spring we will likely see the formation of a couple new Great Lakes .. Lake Iowa for sure. The weather gods need to go back to sleep, I think; they are making far too much news these days!

Hope you all survive this next blast .. and buy a couple snowmobiles. It's probably going to be way easier to drive those around if this winter keeps sending us this much snow!
