Daughter to Tiger Mom: 'People don't get your humor'

Sophia Chua-Rubenfeld, daughter of Amy Chua, the "Tiger Mother" featured in Rehema Ellis' Nightly News report above, has written an open letter to her mother in the NY Post in which she responds to the controversy created by her mother's new book.

"Dear Tiger Mother," she writes. "One problem is that some people don’t get your humor. They think you’re serious about all this, and they assume Lulu and I are oppressed by our evil mother. That is so not true. Every other Thursday, you take off our chains and let us play math games in the basement."

What kind of a twisted Effed up mind would send death threats to this woman over the way she raised her girls? Every kid should be so lucky.

while in the process of raising your kids, you have to ask your daughter to know her preferences?? are you sure that she is not the one raising you?

maybe before you make the decision to have your first child, you should ask your self first, if other then your naturally given abilities to multiply you also have all the other important skills needed to raise your kids correctly.

no wonder we have high number of failed families and so much of government intervention in to our private life's.

I'll bet her daughter can read a simple sentence and comprehend it's meaning.

I am Chinese. I am sure she is the bad model and it is not Chinese model way of teaching children. That is her own method not Chinese. Please tell people to stop learning from her and rob children of happy childhood memories. :)
