So I read in this morning's Times that Brian Williams, unlike Jon Stewart, has no control over what is or is not a newsworthy story. I guess that's why Mr. Williams couldn't cover the GOP's filibuster of the Zadroga bill. I simply cannot believe that BW is just a very highly paid news reader.

Jon Stewart is great but it's a news comedy show and Brian is just a news Anchorman with less then one half an hour to tell the news. Now the good news is the nightly news website has the rest of the daily news but you have to read it yourself. It's like in college when your told by your Proffessor to read the book but you decide to just read the cliff notes and wonder why you got a D on the test. Jon Stewart get a big salary too. At lease for now anyway Brian Williams is the best Anchorman to give the evening news and not bad as a conedy actor but he does need work.

I am a fan of Jon Stewart but Brian Williams delivers funny lines without the F-word, so there

is no comparison between Jon and Brian who is a class act. Still, there must be something in

        New Jersey's water. Phyllis

Brian: I'm surprised I didn't see any igloos at 30 rock last night. For someone who tuned in to the broadcast late, one would have thought you were in Minneapolis, or International Falls, Minnesota. That photo that was posted told the story of New York's plight. It's a good thing you had a short walk back to the studio. New Yorker's are pretty resilient and they will get through this. NBC did a great job of reporting the snowy conditions in different locales. Happy Eskimo week, and I'll catch you on tonight's broadcast.
