May you enjoy clear skies

For those without cloud cover above, tonight offers a spectacular show: A rare Winter Solstice lunar eclipse.  As they so often do, our friends at Gawker have done a superb job telling us everything we need to know about the event.  Except the references to peyote and murder--they're kinda kidding about that--unless of course your plans include peyote and/or murder. The critical hours are between about 2-4am on the East Coast.  You'll be able to tell who the astronomy buffs are tomorrow: they won't have gotten any sleep tonight.  If you'd rather sleep in, we'll have pictures of it tomorrow night.

We hope you can join our broadcast tonight.
