Coming up Friday on Dateline, Brian Williams talks to Prince Charles about his role as The Prince of Wales, his relationship with his sons and his efforts as "a defender of nature" to prevent global warming. The Prince Charles special on the environment, "Harmony," will air immediately following the interview. Watch Nightly News tonight for a preview of the interview-- you can also catch a short clip of Prince Charles discussing the rampant rumors of wedding bells for Prince William below:

Brian, it looks as if Prince William got the best from both of his parents. Phyllis
Poor Philandering Prince Charles. If every parent had the same level of worry for their privileged children. Williams, you confuse entertainment with news.
How can Charles talk about raising children? When he did not raise them.
How can he be the next King? Unless they have changed the rules that I have not heard about.
He cannot be king because he was divorced from Princess Dianna. That woman that he supposely married is a divorceee.
If by any chance that he is next King, the people will be in really bad shape than they are now with a cheating man that don't know anything except how to cheat on his wife.
Prince Charles can never be King because it would violate the 1701 British Act of Settlement, which specifically denies the Throne to any Papist, or one who marries a Papist. The next King has to therefore be his oldest living son.
How disgusting. You have to go all the way to Scotland to find out what a father thinks about his two sons being in the military? What a waste of electricity. My wife and I have two sons in the Army. They have been to Afghanistan and Iraq MULTIPLE times. Why not take the time to ask my wife how SHE feels about it? Prince Charles puts his pants on one leg at a time like I do. I take my hat off to his sons. I hope they turn out to be better men than their father.
I just saw the clip of Charles but I will be watching your interview. I think Diana would be proud of how Charles has helped the boys grow into smart young men while dealing with the pressure of who they are. Charles has had it hard and lived a life the boys didn't. Diana made sure her son's knew how each person was special and how life doesn't deal everyone the same cards. Even GrandMa has been changed by her grandsons. England will be do well with the young princes as they take their lead in life. I remember Diana wanted her sons to marry for love not position. Wills has learned well from his Mom and Harry will always have his big brother to help him. Diana will always be live within her sons and Charles learned to have a life and live for the things he felt were important. I look forward to the hold interview.
Walter Chronkite must be turning in his grave. Williams, you should be a game show host not a news anchor. How many nannies did bonny prince Charles have to raise "the boys"? And as far as their military service, you can bet those two punks were never put in harms way for a second. When can we expect a News Story about Dancing With The Stars?
"The public! The public! How many fools does it take to make up a public?" - Nicolas Chamfort
Mr. Brian Williams,
When you noted in your nightly broadcast that you where doing a story about Prince Charles raising his boys I cringed and switched the channel. What a lame elitist story at a time when so many families are struggling to raise families here in United States. It really borders on snob appeal and bragging rights on your part Brian that you got this "exclusive". The royal family in Great Britain knows nothing of every day struggles and the real world. Yes it was tragic that Diana died but we all have our personal family losses. The royal family perpetrates the demeaning world of class and privilege. You showed a lack of sensitivity by doing that story.
Sincerely,
Francis James
Brian, I'm a big fan of Nightly News and have been watching for years (and still miss Tom Brokaw.) However, I felt compelled to write in after listening to you TWICE refer to the news of the royal engagement as a "bombshell"...!!!!
Honestly, Brian, a "bombshell"?? Really? Were you joking? I didn't detect any note of your signature sarcasm in the announcement. Hmmm, an 8-year relationship, and months of engagement predictions.
Please avoid the silly hype the media so predictably feeds us for such events. I thought, and am still hoping, you and Nightly News are above that crowd.
What an amazing waste of my time watching the broadcast tonite. The first 10 minutes wasted on our version of British Entertainment Tonight. this was followed by a "blurb" on Senator Rangall . I switched to PBS for a while to see some REAL news. I switched back around 6:55 to see an article about Princess Diana. Wow. no mention about the building collapse in India. Nothing about the war in Afganistan. Nothing about the missing kid down south. I guess the world is just peahy keen. By the way, while I was watching the BBC news there was a mention about the Napalese peace keeping force in Haiti being a possible cause of the colera outbreak. Thought you MIGHT want to look into some REAL news.
What's this about a British warship steaming into Havana Harbor?
What is happening to the world news? So many other things need to take precedence over this! Please get back to the news and let entertainment tonight report on them.
It occurred to that maybe this is all for show, and that something is going on behind the
scenes, like something big, and the Royal engagement is a smoke screen. You never know.
Lester, looking forward to your broadcast from Afghansitan. Be safe and take care.
What is actually happening across the pond, anyway. Why all the hype. Something is up.
Lester, I look forward to your broadcast from Afganistan. Be safe and careful. Phyllis
