It's no surprise that food prices are rising. They have been rising steadily for the past few years, contrary to the government denials. As someone disabled and trying to survive on Social Security Disability benefits, I am being crushed. Two thousand eleven will be the second straight year without a Cost-of-Living adjustment (COLA). Although it has not been announced, I am sure the Medicare contribution for 2011 will also increase. That means hree of the past four years have seen a real decline in cash benefits. With another round of medical insurance co-pay increases, my buying power will probably see a real decline of at least 10% in 2011. I do receive $48/month in food stamps, down from $84 in July. (No explanation for the decrease.) I at least understand that this is not due to Pres. Obama or Pres. Bush. Rather, it is due to totally unrealistic price tracking so that adjustments lag real price increases by months, if not years. While I hate to refer to myself as such, one of the most vulnerable segments of society pays for these dreamlike statistics. The pressures are so severe I have made three attempts to return to work, each ending more disastrous than the last (physically). Unfortunately, the new political reality means things will get considerably worse for this segment for the foreseeable future.

Why is anyone surprised about the price of food going up when the US is kicking out farm workers. Don't look for me to pick veggies your own your own. I did as Michelle suggested and planeted a small garden and yes I pick the veggies but only in my small garden.

So many people saw and were up set with NBC coverage of the election. Many or at lease the group I was with today felt the News Group with to policial and cheering for the GOP/Tea Party wins. It was said Chuck Todd became the new GOP Karl Rove as he was over joyed with the loses for the Democrats. Even today the Law Makers are complaining about Obama's over seas trip and feel he should just step down from office. The enter fighting has began as every GOP and Tea Party winner is looking to lead the country and remove Obama. I do feel bad for President Obama who has to face foreign Leaders who watched how stupid American Law Makers are.

Well the United Nations not only has proof of War Crimes/Crimes Against Humanity committed by Bush/Cheney but now Bush is spilling his guts and giving the UN his own admittion of the crimes. Yes the Decider turned I didn't do it, is caught and Daddy Bush will again have to step up and protect his son. The years of the 50's and 60's we were warned not to use drugs because your brain would be fried, now we see that is true as we see those drug users are as nuts and brain dead. Rummy leaked the Iraq invasion was planned in 1999 now Bush admits he gave the order for torture and violated the International Law. Spain and Brazil lawyers now have more proof that innocent victims were tortured by the order of the US President. War Crimes criminals end up brought to Justice and so will Bush/Cheney.

California got wise and lucky as we elected real working leaders who will fix our economy. Now it's every State for itself. At lease New York did very well with the new Governor too. As the Federal Law Makers spin their wheels and fight among each other for the next two years and continue to attack Obama, the rest of the State Leaders will use the Obama/FDR recovery plan.

Brian I have the greatest respect in you and your show but you might want to have a meeting with the group who give reports for you. Ask them to keep their personal feelings for after the show. Even David Letterman found it funny as he showed Chuck Todd's conduct.

        have a great evening all

Prices will go up , yes , and those in power care less a soon they make laws to protect their money and those who give money to them ( health or energy companys ) why i said this because if they dont care , companies care less its all about money , no about the regular joe the plumber , do the math inmigrants do any job for less and that keep labor cost down, if the republicans play inmigration for election pourpuses they achive two goals one they get elected showing that inmigrants are a treat and the companies that get protection from them rise costs with no mercy with the promees from them that a soon they give money to the political PACs no a single word will be said agains them .

there is more treat from the so moderate muslims in america ( wach the documental the tirdh jihad ) that want to build a mosque close to the 9/11 site than hispanics that never chant " dead to america " in american soil , just want to work and make this country strong, do you ever wonder where the money come from for them to buy conviniance stores , hotels , motels to fast coming from those poor countryes if a mexican do just that will have to prove that the money is clean , if you finger print a mexican at the poin of entrance is a protocol but if you do that to a muslim is discrimaination, a mexican share his culture a muslim impose and demand respect because his poilitcal religion is the land of the world, but are politicians and the media are so busy looking for political correctenes ,that by the time end they wont know who is friend or foe.
