This was the find of the weekend: I stumbled across the marketing of an organization called the PB&J campaign -- I saw a web headline asking "Can your peanut butter and jelly sandwich save the planet?" As a regular consumer of the product, I had to click through to the article (press release), which points out that PB&J's are the ultimate green choice: a plant-based lunch that saves 2.5 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions over an average "animal-based lunch" like burgers, chicken, tuna, etc. Brilliant. Now PETA is out with PETA-butter to further the point. Amazing.
Tonight we begin a new week -- after a Thursday in New Orleans, and a Friday in Los Angeles, and an uneventful redeye home on Saturday morning. No travel this week that I'm aware of. I spent part of today with Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, and we'll air a portion of our conversation on the broadcast tonight. To all of you who watched Stand Up 2 Cancer--and to those who contributed, thank you. We hope you can join us tonight.
