Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast from New Orleans this evening! You have done a great job these two evenings from New Orleans and i am looking forward to you monitoring "Meet the Press" and Interviewing President Obama on Sunday.
Now on to the broadcast. First of all the report by Mr.Truong about how schools have improved in the New Orleans area since Hurricane Katrina. Hearing about how flooded one of these schools wasc devastating and now it appears a totally different place. Test scores are higher and students are really excelling in their work with high expectations for goals in their future. it is wonderful to hear and one hopes things just keep improving.
The report by Dr.Nancy Snyderman about the healthcare system in New Orleans showed how the system has been transformed to make it easier for people to see a doctor. It is encourging to learn how much has been pledged to better the healthcare system. Good news for people.
The video of the 33 miners trapped in the mine was heartbreaking. They all are keeping in such good spirits by singing, speaking to their families and playing games. It is heartwrenching to think they might not be rescued until Christmas. One truly hopes they can be rescued much earlier. Ones thoughts and prayers go out to all the families of the miners.
The "Making A Difference" segment about Brad Pitt starting the program called "Make it Right" to rebuild homes in the ninth ward neighborhood of New Orleans was very inspirational and shows just how much progress has been made in the area. Brad Pitt knew the right people to help to build great homes that can withstand up to Category 4 Hurricanes. And the roof access is a vrey good idea to have on these homes in case of a crisis. I hope more money is raised to help build the whole neighborhood. Brad Pitt has helped so many people with his program, "Make it Right" Good Piece!
Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. See You on Sunday for Nightly News! Peace to You and to All!

Hi Lisa..enjoy your posts.
My pal just phoned asking about the Obama interview and when will it be. I told her. She is a huge Obama supporter so this is a no miss for her. We will tune in Sunday. Let's hope Brian ask some tough questions such as is there anything additional the President and his administration can do to rescue our failing economy. I am starting to worry about job security recently hearing about reputable companies laying off folks.
And I hope the interview touch on keeping THE HOUSE secured for the Democrats. If the Republicans get their wish, they will be bragging for days. I know the President will share his heart's feelings re New Orleans and Katrina.
NBC and MSNBC coverage of Katrina, 5 years, is awesome. The Art, articles, music, Jazz..all great. Don't get how folks can say -"enough of the Katrina crap" - yea, someone at my job said this. But, unless pain affects you personally..you can be detached.
I am working today but no complaints cuz reflecting on Friday's Nightly..one should be happy to have a job.
Looking ahead to see what makes news on Lester's Nightly.
"Today" played the Brad "Make It Right" story (all about Brad's efforts to provide smart, sensible homes for folks who lost their homes during the Katrina disaster) and my Mom noted-
"Brian and Brad are two wonderful people."
