The cab driver stabbing should be a lesson to everyone to never ever turn your back on a white Progressive in New York.

    Dave;

    Your continuous bashing of progressives betrays a simplistic, black-and-white worldview where anyone who disagrees with you politically or philosophically is automatically an idiot. While we can disagree about many things and (hopefully) argue them in a reasoned, mature way, your childish, boorish comments do nothing to advance an intelligent dialogue and only serve to polarize folks even more. Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Charles Krauthammer, Karl Rove and Liz Cheney may be kindred spirits with you, philosophically, but they all have their own agendas that are less than righteous, and you really should try to understand (or at least acknowledge) the views of people who think differently from you. Being a right wing troll endears you to nobody.

      So in too many words you're calling me childish and boorish because you assume that I'm assuming you're an idiot? I don't think Progressives are idiots. They've created far too many schemes to intentionally harm people and control everything to be idiots. Nah I think they're evil to the core and should be held accountable.

        hola, brian, i swear by that licorice for depression. and it's cheap, they can try sending that down to the miners when they can eat solid food. i wonder how many of the miners are catholic, when i was all over the place with the manics in 94-95, i was doing daily mass. it helped alot. maybe they could make one of the very catholic miners an honorary deacon for the time that they're underground and send the host down for those that want to partake. it's not the same as the sun coming up every morning, but it's an excellent substitute. i can't look at the katrina video. i saw just a snippet and i was nauseous and had severe angst for several hours. the video of the skeletal woman leaning way over in the wheelchair and the grief of her relatives and the frail mother who needed her heart medication did me in pronto. i don't know how you and the team did it. OMG. lots of spiritual work to still be done, there. that, i can do. God bless, anna martina

          p.s. i just watched a bunch of videos on the flooding in pakistan, finally, and i can handle watching that in a country where the standard of living is so poor to start with. and i can watch the mess in iraq and the mess in afghanistan and i could watch the flooding of previous floods, those videos usually showed the distribution of supplies, but to watch and to put yourself into what the super dome was, to have your back totally against the wall with absolutely no way to source anything, that is overwhelming and the fact that that happened in america to our citizens is criminal. the sanitation thing is so horrendous when it gets out of hand, so much illness that can bring death so quickly. in the past, we were sheltered from the onslaught of much of this news, the technology just wasn't there to bring it into your home every night and several times a day. now, you just have to brace yourself and be stoic so that you can absorb the shock of every calamity that is happening around the globe at any given moment of time. that is, if you care. otherwise, it's just another 2 or 3 minute blurp on the t.v.
