I am somewhat troubled by the lack of reporting on the damage and casualties the US is inflicting on the Talaban. All I ever hear is how many US soldiers died today. How many Taliban are being killed? Any? Are their gorilla tactics so effective that we can't kill them? During Operation Desert Storm, enemy death tolls were always part of the articles. That at least, made me feel like our troops were doing what they were sent to do. Now, if there is positive news from the war front, it is that we captured someone of interest. How many enemy fighters were killed in the process? Were strategic targets destroyed? It just seems that our well trained, superior military instruments of war are doing nothing but dying at the hands of the Taliban. Isn't the military's successes and progress worthy of reporting the enemy's death toll?
