And did you see...

- Playing phone tag with the White House.

Here I was boycotting BP while filling up at Amoco Gas.
Turns out BP owns Amoco.
The ousting of BP's CEO, Hayward is good for the public face of BP, good for Louisiana folk (who wants an uncaring, cold fish managing the disaster?) and good for Hayward who openly begs "I want my life back!"
Wish granted!
Love each Royal photo.
I do believe another palace is required to house all those fabulous hats: yellow, purple, white, blue, red.. softened nicely with pearls, feathers, flowers.
The Monarchy holds such mystery and glamour. God bless the Queen.
Glad she is being more sociable (read about Diana's impact on the Royal family.)
Thank you for the photos.
"Desperate to talk," and failing to connect.
Must be frustrating.
What I find interesting about this link / the story is the evolution of the "switchboard"--
Imagine the journey of THE information age from the days of President Washington to now, our current, modern days!
Now, tell me...how did President Washington get his urgent messages?!

Well here it goes my thoughts of todays issues. If people don't understand racism is bad it's to late to teach them now, leave it up to God to teach them.

I see Fannie and Freddie changing for the better and in a way to protect the homeowners from corrupt Banks. Geithner is making history for the better. Fox Fake news isn't the only station or reporters spreading the kool aide news. I notice few business reporters bother to deal with the four leg stool Obama set in motion. Does anyone really listen to what the President says, because it seems like they haven't. We watch Republican Governors out right refuse the Stimulus money only to grab it before the deadline. With millions of Americans in need for help with unemployement and foreclosures we see Rep. Rogers requesting 5 million a year for conservation group for the protection of great cats and rare canids.

We're learning more about the deaths of Iraq people as secret documents are found. The real enemy might be within our own Government and Miliatry. Good news is Senator McCain calls the Iraq mission completed.

I hope we can move on from the topic of racism but something tells me we're not finished yet as it makes headline. My thoughts are I've seen racism used for many years in the 50's and 60's until finally the Civil Rights Bill was passed. Now to bring chaos we dealing with immigrant attacks to again bring division between citizens. It's not the black vs white it's now drawing division on do you support immigrants. Funny in 1776 everyone but the American indian were immigrants. Several Presidents were immigrant US Presidents.

I know Palin is a bimbo but even a bimbo can make you learn something you never knew. I worked as a paralegal in a court and took pride in loving the law. Sarah kept talking about our 7 Founding Fathers, I thought let's name the 7. I was good but one name I left out shocked me. Ok nobody answered all the names. Well I missed John Jay and to make things worse he was the first US Supreme Court Chief Justice of the United States. You can bet I was embarressed but even a person with no brains can make you learn. I continue to keep up with the works of the Court Systems.

Thanks for letting me give my thoughts and you bet I'll be still watching NBC

today is sad - my last day as a NN viewer. I just can't take the embedded ads posing as news anymore. I thought the "feature" on the Boniva dog was going to be the low point. Tonight we had - on the national freaking news - a story on "whether or not dreams can come true", courtesy of an NBC parent company-owned movie currently in theaters. That's it. I'm done. When I can't tell the difference between the Today Show and NN, it's over, people.

PLEASE bring Anne Thompson back to cover the news on matters dealing with the Gulf Oil Spill. Michelle's voice and narrative are much more suited to dramatic re-tellings of stories and re-enactments which is where I guess I've seen her before. But I'm certainly not getting much of any substance from the segments in which she's featured.

I watch the News for News.

At least Anne Thompson is getting a few days off. She has been on almost every morning and night covering the story since it started. But yes, I do miss Anne as well and hope she comes back soon.

            Reed,
Bummer! And here I am thinking of "meeting of the minds."
            "Believe"..and dreams can come true.

I am told, "Inception" is a dream based blockbuster.
