The storms might and might not help with the oil spill. Listening and watching this crisis one might wonder why not one Big Oil Company has any idea as how to stop a spill. After the last big spill and trillions in profit no one bother to developed a way to stop a spill. With drilling being done for so many years prior to Obama taking office and the dumb look on the faces of those who are the exsperts was this spill a mistake or a plan?

Everyone top Oil Executive is clueless to how to stop this but it seems money is being made by the Oil Companies. After so many lies over the 8 year crime wave now it's hard to believe anyone by just their word alone.

What a sad day it was to see today the GOP step away for the Kagan confirmation and out right attack the late Justice Marshall. Those spilling the most hate have done nothing with their Law Degrees but ask for voted to get a Senate seat then take bribes for votes. Senator Cosmo Brown is so high he had no idea what was really going on. Senator Sessions is made no Republican President ever nominated him and others are out right showing their racism. Attacking Justice Marshall because Kagan admired him. I've been asked who I admire and it's always first my Dad and then President Kennedy. I was never taught to think race but judge the person and their character and deeds not words. But today we witnessed out right disrespect and racism against a dead Justice with adults accepting that conduct. Has our country lost all the manners and values?

I read about Sarah Palin's speech at a California College. Yes Sister Sarah spoke of President Reagan's college he attended in California. Big mistake as Sarah doesn't read. The guest quickly realized the college Sister Sarah was talking about was in Illinois as that's where Reagan was from but if only Sarah had read she would have known that. What an example to students as they know a candidate for VP is so stupid and dumb but people pay her and cheer knowing she's a complete idiot. Lesson Sarah gave is don't bother with education or college just go around the US say stupid dumb things and people pay you for it as they cheer because their as dumb as you.

Good Evening Mr.Williams, Another fine broadcast this evening. The video in this post showing the oil tainted white sand beach of Pensacola really is heartbreaking to see because it never seems to end. The workers are cleaning up 24/7 and especially making progress at night, but the oil keeps coming in on the waves. Now the seas have picked up due to the Tropical Storm Alex which is soon to become a Hurricane and hampering clean up efforts. One hopes and prays for an end to this terrible crisis.

The report by Anne Thompson from Venice, LA showed the high seas causing the boats to stop laying the boom and allowing more oil to come ashore. Although, the drilling of the relief wells continues which is good news.

The report by Mr.Potter showed how the workers are cleaning up the beach 24/7, but they cannot keep up with all the new waves of oil coming ashore. Working at night is much better since it is cooler and the oil easier to pick up, but it is difficult to see an end to this crisis.

The report by Jeff Corwin about the rescuing of brown pelicans showed how the biologists are trying their best to rescue as many birds as possible and give them a new life. It was so sad to see the adult pelican covered in oil and even sadder to see the few week old pelican covered in oil too. But the assembly line working so hard to wash off all the oil amidst the feathers and eventually set them free to a wildlife refuge after tagging them to track them was encouraging to see. One hopes all the rescued birds will be able to live a prosperous new life safely away from the oil.

The piece you did about the two business owners along Pensacola beach trying to stay in business showed how much this oil spill costs people their livelihoods. One hopes so much things will get better since normally these two places, the store and the restaurant and bar would be packed with people. Alittle humor by you Mr.Williams in the conversation with the restaurant owner after you pointed out to him there was only one person at the bar. At least he did have a sense of humor about the comment.

Hopefully, things will get better for all the people living and working along the Gulf.

Brian, Just sending some thoughts. Is the pipe leaking in multiple places? If so could they cut it all off right above the source making only one leak. Another thought would be to make a bridge, or rainbow where the oil coming out is fed right back in. Probably not, it would take another hole. If there were 2 holes could it work. I know were working against pressure. May be something close.

The other idea is really out there: What about obtaining large sheets of plastic about 10 feet into the ocean and tacked down and which spreads over the beach where the tides end. Here we have undertow plus massive amounts of heave plastic would be needed---cover it until it is stopped.

Wrote a long letter: it even said from the Bible: 2 Samuel 14:5. The King ask her, “What is troubling you?” I answered then it said, Then let the King invoke the Lord His God to prevent the avenger of blood from adding to the destruction. I had had a conversation but it was not accurate and I can not send it. I have been writing but it is no good. So today I decided I would leave all men behind and go to work at Behavioral Medicine- Phoebe, but is not in the hospital so I would not run into Tom, but it didn’t happen. So I said Okay I’ll try Phoebe hospital one more time, and I couldn’t see anyone. The one who handles Mental Health Techs is out on leave. So I came home and have been working on developing the last letter I wrote. That is what I will be doing. I feel like Jesus is us pulling the birds out of the ocean and cleaning them up (otherwise they would die) (us) but can not stop the Judgment of God- In the letter He said Judgment ( to the earth). He said He wanted to see Jesus’s face and Kept asking me “Then why did you get so close to the rock?”- He said if I am guilty of anything I could be put to death. I think I John 1- I have to read it still.

I don’t need to be a star or I would love to be a star- No matter for me. I don’t think this is right. Like I said, I don’t have to be a star. Make up a name and give the name the glory but that would be just like Jesus. That is what God made me write. He said send!

HI Brian....I dont normally post to much on the web.....Cant get thru to BP..Of course!..but i have contacted msnbc several times.....Has anybody thought of putting a deep well expansion device..of some sort down that pipe..If they can drill they can push something deep as well..like blowing up a balloon in a straw...pushed in by the mushroom end of a pin.......then inflated ..or rapidly expanded ...like a crossbow/umbrella type effect.....all the way up..if not....at the bottom of the well?

Brian-- From last night's broadcast: 70 days into the oil spill and not enough skimmers. How can anyone justify that? Your report with Billy Nungesser was heartbreaking -- but riveting. I don't know how you can "make whole" people who have lost their way of life.

Jackie-- I find it amusing that you came east just as I went west. You said it was hot in the east -- well it was unusually warm in California also. Was in Frisco and Yosemite -- along with half the world. What a mob scene! We are loving our National Parks to death! Still beautiful though -- and with all the snow in the Sierras last winter, the waterfalls were all in full throat and delighting in wetting everyone! Are you still going or have you gone to London?

Cary-- Sad to hear your NYC plans fell through. Hope you can make it around the holidays -- but if you do, prepare for a mob scene. NYC and especially the tree at 30 Rock gets loved to death at that time of year also. But yes, it is still beautiful! In the meantime I hope you are enjoying D.C.

hola, brian, it's great to see the crews cleaning up the oil on the beach in pensacola and the teams that are getting the oil off of the pelicans and releasing them in clean waters. it's going to be a long haul and it's good to see the dedication of the crews. i hope the relief well work. if i was out there, i'd be washing pelicans or sweeping up tar balls. thank you for covering the latest in the crisis in the gulf. is there anywhere we can send $ so that they can get more shop vacs to suck up that oil in the marshes? take good care, blessings, anna martina
