what a day as the World watched the BP hearing and saw why the US is ranked so low in education. Each Law Makers that attack Mr. Hayward, has shares in oil and even cheered when Bush lifted the moratorium on Gulf offshore drilling which allowed no oversight and appointed puppets in the Mineral Department. Now few mention Vice President Cheney quickly formed his Secret Energy Task Force and with the Executive Privilege given by Bush, Cheney took charge and now we see the results. Yes New York Times reported No Bid Contracts to friends of Bush/Cheney. Now it seems Republican Law Makers are calling all this Obama's fault and some citizens are being paid to lie on live TV. One man had it that Bush saved lives and allowed Foreign help during Katrina where not one person suffered. He then explain how Obama no showed up for weeks while the people and the animals suffered, Obama refuse Foreign help.
Now with 20 billion to give out the Law Makers are chopping at the nails on how to get conrol of that money. Now each one is saying it's for the people but Obama knows these crooks would steal the gold tooth out your mouth. It's funny to watch how each Law Makers is like a crazy Mob rat fighting for the money and each other. Governors in the South are now looking to become millionaires like the Fed Law Makers. Obama knows the sharks are using anything to get that money. As for the citizens who are currently suffering well let's see how Law Makers voted NO on every Bill that could help, while all Law Makers ran to DC and voted Yes to the bailout for Banks with Hank Paulson's Chicken Little the Sky is Falling Story.
Mr. Hayward apologized to the Americans who had no idea small people is commonly used in English Culture. We rank low in education so it makes since many were insulted. Mr. Hayward has to learn to speak on a lower level for some Americans. Obama is having the same problem with his speeches too. People seem to like the way Bush spoke Bushism what ever that is and how Sarah Palin completely clueless and hasn't read a book but people love to lession to her talk stupid and spin the lies. Brian the U S Law Makers are like a comedy show and it really is emabarrassing.
Rep. Barton is really loose in the brain and he's been watching to many Mob movies. Good news President Dick Cheney came out to his Cave now that Halliburton needs his support. Yes CEO of Halliburton Dick Cheney explained to paying people Obama doesn't have the experience to handle the problems of the Oil Crisis. Yes Cheney did run all the problems dealing with Oil while he and Bush were in office. Brian sometimes people say things they that let secrets out. Cheney only comes out when the topic is Oil. After working 8 years on Oil deals Cheney will now allow the boys to know Obama isn't the man it's Dick Cheney who is the man. Jealousy is showing all over Cheney and no word from Bush. Obama is taking charge and showing the World he is one of the US great Leaders and willing to listen and not dictate. This is Cheney's World and you can bet the Saudi's love the show. Cheney had to bow to the Saudi King and now the Executives of Oil Companies are seeing we now have a President who take charge and doesn't let the Vice President take over.

hi, jackie, i watched the last bit of 'a river runs through it' when i was up in portland for my little granddaughter's 4th birthday. i had seen it before when it first came out. i had a really strange thought when i got home and googled the macleans that paul maclean, a news correspondent, had the skinny on the monsters who caused the great depression by crashing the stock market and that he was in the witness protection program. the presbyterians got him 'out'. some of them are still around now, those wall street types, and their offspring, same stock market crap. for mr. cheney, he has woven such a wicked web his entire life that there is no way out for him. he's entangled in a snare of his own making. it takes alot of patience to land the big fish when you're fly fishing, the macleans would likely tell you. their father was the minister of the church and both sons went to dartmouth. norman maclean wrote the novel. i imagine they were scottish highlanders. there's lots of manipulative types out there pushing buttons and they're finding out that barack obama doesn't have any buttons and that he has a very long fuse. he's going to catch some nice, big fish:-) take very good care, blessings, anna martina
Thanks for the note Anna I did see the a river runs through it and it was great. I guess it always amazing me to see Dick Cheney only comes out when the topic or problem is oil. Many brave reporters questioned Cheney given Executive Privilege by Bush but all the talking he's doing it makes sence that Cheney ran the Oil issues for 8 years. Rep. Barton didn't get the memo from Cheney as he made the stupid comment. It was more about attacking Obama then BP. I'm sure Mr. Hayward doesn't feel bad as the commit come from a ill person. I just never knew we had so many ignorant/dumb Law Makers now I understand why Cheney ran the White House and the Govenment. He had to because these elected officals have no idea what to do and say so stupid things.

If another big oil company dedicates it's resources to help solve this environmental crisis, they will win me as a loyal customer for the rest of my natural life. Are you there Exxon? It's me, SummerGirl1963.
Naive? Yes but, it doesn't stop me from wanting them to do the right thing.
Nice photos, but honestly Brian, your reporters are doing a fine job down there. How much oil did it take to send you and your crew on a field trip? Was it really necessary or useful?
I don't think it is a matter of how much oil it took for the crew to get down to the Gulf as much as it is the fact that his should never had become the problem that it is. But still a very useful question. Thanks for posting Polly.
What I find most disturbing is the lack of anyone in main stream media being willing to ask the big question. Especialy of the Obama adiministration. As soon as this crisis hit in the Gulf why wasn't it all hands on deck to try and contain the spill? Could it be because Obama is in bed with main stream media and the labor unions to use this crisis a stag to push a political agenda. It took nine days before the Fed's sent anyone or anything to the Gulf to help. All the while ships from other countries, willing to help and wanted by BP to help contain the spill was pushed away by the Obama administration, thus virtually tieing the hands of BP.
This spill probably never would have reached the shores to the exstent that it did had all resources been given the green light and Obama over riding a law written in the 1920's to protect so called labor unions and US shipping. It sure looks as if Obama and the rest of the Democrats on Capitol Hill are more concerned about the special interest groups who support them than they are about the enviorment or the people of the Gulf.
Shame on anyone who constantly continues to paint this President in a positive light given his lack of response or better yet, the way he responded to this crisis. And that includes any news media group who tries to make people feel sorry for President Obama and headaches he is having to endure. This headache is one of his own making and it has become an even bigger headache for the people of the Gulf.
